Chapter 279 - 279 - Pretend Not To Know
"Where are Aeri and Li Sa? Since they disappeared, they haven't returned yet," Mrs. Park grumbled while trying to contact the two of them. Actually the call was connected but not picked up. Maybe they were still very busy shopping right now.
Jung Rok, who was the owner of the restaurant, immediately met the four of them. He was happy because the guest who came to his restaurant was the family of one of his friends. Although now he was very rare to see Dae Hyun because of their busy schedules.
"Welcome, Auntie. It's nice that you guys want to stop by here," said Jung Rok as he bowed his body in respect and courtesy.
"It's nice to meet you, it seems like we've never met," Mrs. Park said with a friendly smile.
"Yes, Auntie," Jung Rok said, while glancing at Soo Yin who had been looking down. It's been a long time since he saw her that made him forget Soo Yin's face a bit. But he firmly believed that she was Dae Hyun's second wife.
"Auntie, didn't Dae Hyun come with you?" Jung Rok asked to Mrs. Park.
"He's been very busy lately. Even now he often stays at hotels more than at home," Mrs. Park said.
"Does my brother rarely come here?" Park Soo Hyun said who knew that they were close friends of his brother.
"He came here a few months ago together with the others here too," said Jung Rok as he watched Soo Yin's face. Upon closer inspection, he firmly believed that it was his best friend's wife.
Soo Yin still lowered her head. Hopefully, Jung Rok didn't recognize her face. She didn't want him to say everything about her.
"Who are they, Auntie?" Jung Rok asked, while pointing at the two girls who were sitting next to each other. Still pretended not to recognize them to be more sure.
"Let me introduce you, this is Soo Yin and Jean. Soo Yin is our future daughter-in-law, Park Soo Hyun really likes her," Mrs. Park said, did not reluctantly introduced Soo Yin as her future daughter-in-law.
Inevitably, Soo Yin then raised her head to look at Jung Rok for a moment. Cold sweat had run off of her forehead since sitting there. As much as possible, Soo Yin gave a friendly smile.
"Nice to meet you," Jung Rok said while looking at Soo Yin meaningfully.
"Sorry, I want to go to the toilet for a bit," Soo Yin said. She was afraid that Jung Rok will recognize her face because Soo Yin felt that the man was looking at her differently. Without asking any more, she hurriedly stepped into the toilet.
Soo Yin immediately closed the bathroom door tightly. Then leaned in there, while clutching her chest. Her breath was still roaring with nervousness.
"What should I do?" Soo Yin muttered. She was really afraid that Jung Rok will leak about her relationship with Dae Hyun.
After starting to calm down, Soo Yin washed her face repeatedly while looking at her face in front of the mirror above the sink. Wanted to contact Dae Hyun right now but Soo Yin was afraid to interfere with her husband's work. Even though she intended to ask him to contact Jung Rok.
Soo Yin tried to tell herself that everything will be fine. Only then did she decide to leave.
As soon as she opened the door, Soo Yin was shocked because Jung Rok was standing in front of the door. The man's gaze was full of intimidation and deep curiosity.
"Miss, can we talk for a moment?" Jung Rok asked. He needed clarity about his best friend's relationship. Didn't want an innocent girl like Soo Yin to play with Dae Hyun.
With her eyes still wide open, Soo Yin subconsciously nodded her head. Then she followed Jung Rok's steps to the back of the restaurant.
"Miss, please explain to me how can you become Park Soo Hyun's future wife when you are the wife of his brother?" Jung Rok said while standing with his back to Soo Yin.
"Sir, please don't say anything about our relationship to them. Actually they don't know that I'm married to Dae Hyun yet," said Soo Yin softly.
"Then, why can auntie say if you are Park Soo Hyun's future wife?" Jung Rok turned around to meet Soo Yin's eyes. Wanted to know if there were no lies in her words.
"It's because Park Soo Hyun likes me but I really don't like him. Dae Hyun also knows about this," said Soo Yin as she straightened her head.
"Geez, it turns out that your life is very complicated," said Jung Rok, whilst shaking his head.
"Now come back, I'm not going to say anything about your relationship with Dae Hyun," Jung Rok said. It was difficult to distinguish who was the victim among them.
"Thank you, sir," Soo Yin said as she bent her body. Now she can breathe easy because she had said everything.
Jung Rok just nodded his head. Staring at Soo Yin's back who slowly disappeared behind the door.
When Soo Yin returned to her seat, it turned out that there were already Li Sa and Aeri. The table was also filled with various kinds of Japanese specialties. There were Sushi, Sashimi, Unigiri, Takoyaki, Yakiniku, Tempura and many others.
"Soo Yin, where have you been? Why are you taking so long?" Aeri grumbled as she looked at Soo Yin with a cynical gaze.
Mrs. Park gave her daughter-in-law an unpleasant look. Aeri even just arrived but was cursing incoherently. Even though the one who should be angry was Mrs. Park.
"Aeri, there's no need to make a fuss. Besides, where have you been? Since earlier mother was looking for you," Mrs. Park said to intercede for them. After all, the middle-aged woman didn't want to make Soo Yin feel uncomfortable.
"Sorry mother, we were too busy. So we forgot about you," said Aeri, while grimacing without any guilt at all. For her shopping with her mother-in-law was very annoying. So that earlier she deliberately chose to shop with Li Sa.
"Soo Yin, eat," Mrs. Park said who was reluctant to respond to Aeri's words. Preferred to take food into Soo Yin's empty plate.
