Chapter 244 - 244 - Looking For Jean
Soo Yin had finished one cup of medium size of ice cream. The corners of her lips were smudged just like a child.
"Honey, how does it taste?" Soo Yin said while rubbing her stomach which had begun to look bigger. Now the womb had been running for three months.
Derrttt… derrrtt… derrrtt….
While enjoying the second cup, suddenly her cell phone vibrated again. Very quickly Soo Yin had reached it from her pants pocket. Maybe her husband called her.
"Jean?" Soo Yin frowned when again her best friend's name was clearly displayed on the screen. Soo Yin let it be for a moment, afraid that Jean didn't say anything like earlier. However her cell phone kept on ringing so Soo Yin answered it.
This time Soo Yin was silent, waiting for Jean to speak first. Making sure that it really was Jean.
"Soo Yin, can you come see me?" Jean's voice sounded hoarse as if she had been crying.
"Jean, what's wrong with you?" Soo Yin asked while knitting her eyebrows. It felt really strange, why did Jean suddenly ask Soo Yin to meet her.
"Can we meet?"
From across the phone Soo Yin can hear Jean's sobbing voice.
"Of course, where are you now?" Soo Yin replied quickly.
"I... I'm now in an old factory not far from the city. Can you come here?" Jean's voice sounded like she was in pain.
"Jean, what happened to you?" Soo Yin asked with great worry.
"I can't explain it right now. Come here immediately," Jean said in a restrained sobbing voice.
"Jean? Jean?" It turned out that the telephone connection had been cut off. No matter how hard Soo Yin yelled, Jean won't be able to hear it anymore.
What a coincidence that currently Soo Yin was not far from the old factory that Jean said. With quick steps, Soo Yin rushed to her destination. She left the plastic bag on the chair.
Fifteen minutes of walking, Soo Yin finally arrived in front of the old building. A former textile factory which had been neglected for a long time. There was a scary story behind it that made Soo Yin's neck hair stand.
She stood for a long time as she mustered up her courage to enter. Already contacted Jean, but the call was not answered. Her feet felt very heavy when she was about to step in to enter. Plus Soo Yin who felt scared in a dark place.
"It's creepy," Soo Yin muttered with her body trembling a little. Since childhood, Soo Yin was really scared when she was in a dark place.
Soo Yin was about to turn around to leave but her cellphone rang again.
"Jean, where are you? I've been in front of the place you said but the place is very dark. I'm afraid to enter," Soo Yin said while rubbing the nape of her neck which felt goosebumps.
"I… I'm inside," Jean stuttered.
"Come here quickly if you don't want her to get hurt!" A male voice was heard across from the phone and then immediately hung up.
"Jean?" Soo Yin was getting more and more worried about her best friend's current condition. Looked like she needed someone else's help. Soo Yin immediately swiped the screen to find a name of the contact who can help her this time.
Having just shifted the screen of her cellphone, a hand immediately grabbed her cellphone until it fell. Soo Yin turned her head while glowering at the person who had dared to bother her.
"Why did you drop my cell phone?" Soo Yin grumbled as she bent her body to pick up her cellphone which was lying on the floor. Had not had time to take it, her hand immediately pulled to stand. Then gripped her wrists back.
"Let go!" Soo Yin shouted as she tried to let go of her hand. Tried to step on the man's feet too, her small feet's stomping was not much strength.
The man's face was not very visible because it was dark. He also silent without a word out of his lips. The man immediately pushed Soo Yin's body to walk.
"Help!" Soo Yin shouted while turning to the cold man behind her who was silent. His facial expression was flat like a robot.
"Are you deaf? Hurry and let me go!" Soo Yin snapped irritably.
"Shut up!" the man said in a cold tone that was so loud in Soo Yin's ears. His right hand was used to grab Soo Yin's wrist. While his left hand he used to cover Soo Yin's mouth who kept on screaming.
The man continued to push Soo Yin's body, leading her into a fairly dark building. Making Soo Yin even more frightened, but she can't scream for help because the man was holding her mouth too hard.
Bug …
Soo Yin's body was thrown to the floor by the man until her stomach hit a block near her. Soo Yin felt pain in her stomach.
The man then closed the door very tightly then left her.
Soo Yin grimaced a little, she endured the pain that was still bearable.
"Hold on, honey," Soo Yin muttered as she rubbed her stomach.
"Soo Yin?" Jean said with her body still tied up so that she couldn't do anything to help her friend to stand up.
"Jean?" Soo Yin turned her head towards the place that was dimly visible. She thought she was alone in the room.
While enduring the pain in her stomach, Soo Yin tried to get up and walked over to Jean with limping steps.
"Jean, what really happened?" Soo Yin was so sorry to see how her best friend was now with a face covered in blood and tears. Her messy shoulder-length hair covered her face. Soo Yin tried to help to release her tied hands.
"Soo Yin, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have told you to come here." Jean immediately hugged Soo Yin's body as soon as her hands were free.
Now there was no time, they better ran away immediately because Jean knew if that guy was planning something bad on Soo Yin, that's why they hadn't appeared again.
