Chapter 155 - 155 - Hesitating
"Eunnie, will Mother and Father separate?" Jo Yeon Ho said suddenly without answering the question Soo Yin had asked.
"Huh? What do you think?" Soo Yin stared at Jo Yeon Ho who said that.
"Last night I heard them fight again," Jo Yeon Ho said, who burst into sobs.
Soo Yin's heart trembled at Jo Yeon Ho's cry which sounded very sad. She immediately embraced Jo Yeon Ho's body in her arms.
"Eunnie, please help me so they don't fight again." Last night Jo Yeon Ho was afraid to hear his parents shouting at each other even though it was unclear what they were saying.
Jo Yeon Ho, who was almost seven years old, had now begun to understand that his parents who never get along, like the parents of his friends who always took them to school together.
He sometimes felt jealous of his friends. In the past, his father always took him but now when him mother has changed a little, Jo Yeon Ho felt that his father didn't care anymore.
Jo Yeon Ho wanted to be like his friends who always went on vacation with their parents. But it seemed to his family that it was very rare.
Soo Yin tightened Jo Yeon Ho's body into her arms. She felt the sadness he felt.
"Never mind, don't think about it. I'm sure your father and mother just misunderstood," Soo Yin said to change the conversation as well as calm him. She didn't know what to say to the boy.
Soo Yin did not think that a child as young as Jo Yeon Ho could think like that about his parents. Was it possible because all this time he often knew about the quarrels that have occurred between his father and mother? Dae Hyun once said that his relationship with Aeri was never good. They were only good in front of Jo Yeon Ho.
"Eunnie, please tell them if I don't want them to separate," Jo Yeon Ho said between his sobs.
Soo Yin's heart was cut by hearing Jo Yeon Ho's words, which were so stifling her heart and feelings. Would he still want to hug her like this if one day he found out if she was the reason his father would leave his mother.
Unconsciously Soo Yin shed tears until it flowed on the top of Jo Yeon Ho's head. She really had no intention of hurting anyone. Never thought that her love story would be like this.
"I don't want to have a cruel stepmother like my mother said," Jo Yeon Ho said.
"Calm down, nothing will happen to your father and mother." Only those words Soo Yin could say. She felt a dilemma at this time. It's a shame that Jo Yeon Ho was born from the womb of an evil mother.
Soo Yin remembered how Aeri was making out in the hotel. It really made her very sick.
"Eunnie, promise to persuade my mother and father?" Jo Yeon Ho broke free from Soo Yin's embrace. He then raised his little finger.
Soo Yin bit her lower lip when she saw Jo Yeon Ho's hopeful gaze. She sighed softly as she hooked her pinky around Jo Yeon Ho's little finger.
"Please rest again, it's still very dark," Soo Yin said while stroking Jo Yeon Ho's hair.
"Okay, I'll sleep." Jo Yeon Ho lay back on his pillow and closed his eyes.
Soo Yin covered Jo Yeon Ho's body back with a blanket. She also lay beside the boy. It's still three o'clock in the morning but Soo Yin couldn't close her eyes. She kept thinking about what Jo Yeon Ho had said earlier.
Tired of rolling around here and there, Soo Yin finally decided to just get up. She cleaned up first before finally leaving the room.
==============================
Soo Yin stepped through the side door. She walked towards the backyard under the still dim light. It's still half past six in the morning. She wanted to breathe the fresh morning air. The air outside turned out to be so cold that Soo Yin crossed her hands to rub her arms to reduce the chill she felt.
Soo Yin continued to wander around in a small garden while observing the still faint flower buds. She needed to calm her mind for a moment.
"Why are you here in the morning like this?"
A familiar voice in Soo Yin's ears echoed through the crickets shouting to each other. Soo Yin turned her body to look at the man she had fallen in love with but right now she was in a dilemma.
"It's very cold outside, come back inside," Dae Hyun said as he walked closer to Soo Yin. He put his hand in his pants pocket.
"Then why did you come out too?" Soo Yin asked back while raising an eyebrow.
"I want to know what my little wife is doing here even though it's still dark," Dae Hyun said with a very charming smile.
"I couldn't sleep anymore after waking up," Soo Yin said briefly.
"Why? Is there something on your mind?" Dae Hyun kept stepping closer to Soo Yin until they were now only one meter away.
Soo Yin looked at Dae Hyun with a gaze but immediately turned her face away. There was a feeling raging in her chest at this moment. Why was it when she already loved Dae Hyun the obstacles were getting bigger. It was as if there was a wall towering between them.
Dae Hyun turned Soo Yin around to face him. He felt something was up with the way Soo Yin was looking at him earlier.
"What are you doing? Get away from me!" Soo Yin shuffled backward while looking around in fear that a servant would suddenly catch them.
"Honey, tell me what you think? You're not like usual," Dae Hyun said while narrowing his eyes without caring at Soo Yin's words asking him to go away.
"Keep your attitude, look at Park Soo Hyun walking this way," Soo Yin said when she saw the silhouette of Park Soo Hyun who was not far away. Soo Yin immediately shuffled backwards, at this point she wasn't ready for their relationship to be discovered.
Dae Hyun turned back to confirm Soo Yin's words. He snorted in annoyance when he saw his younger brother who was walking was getting closer.
"Good morning, Soo Yin," Park Soo Hyun said as he smiled a smile on his lips. Seeing his idol in the morning made him even more excited.
"Morning, sir," Soo Yin said with a faint smile.
Dae Hyun just put on a sour face without a word spoken on his lips.
"What are you doing here so early in the morning?" Park Soo Hyun said while looking at Dae Hyun and Soo Yin alternately.
"Can't you see we're standing?" Dae Hyun said curtly.
"Hyeong, what's wrong with you? Why are you so sensitive these days?" Park Soo Hyun grumbled.
Dae Hyun was silent, reluctant to respond to what his brother said.
'You have to know if I'm acting like this because of you,' Dae Hyun muttered to himself.
"You should look for Jo Yeon Ho instead of relaxing like this," Park Soo Hyun continued. Everyone in the house was now wondering where Jo Yeon Ho was right now.
"Looking for Jo Yeon Ho?" Soo Yin knitted her brows together trying to digest what Park Soo Hyun said.
"Last night Jo Yeon Ho disappeared. We were all confused looking for his whereabouts," Park Soo Hyun said.
Soo Yin scratched her head which didn't feel itchy. She didn't hear anything at all when people were looking for Jo Yeon Ho. Even though the child slept with her all night.
"Sorry, I don't know if you guys were looking for Jo Yeon Ho last night. He slept with me last night, I also don't know if you all were looking for him. I'm really sorry," Soo Yin said while looking down.
"Soo Yin, you don't need to apologize because this is not your fault," Dae Hyun said.
"He last night…." Soo Yin was about to say something but was discouraged because Park Soo Hyun was there.
"Thankfully, the important thing is he's fine," Park Soo Hyun said.
Soo Yin nodded her head despite the guilt she felt.
"Soo Yin, later I want to take you somewhere," Park Soo Hyun said. His more polite speaking style made him uncomfortable. It's not like he was more aggressive towards women. It was true that his mother said that he should move quickly before it's too late. Following the directions of the book he was reading made him dizzy.
"She's tired because she has to work tomorrow! You don't have to take her anywhere," Dae Hyun said with an annoyed snort.
"Right, another time," Soo Yin said agreeing to Dae Hyun's words. She wasn't ready for Park Soo Hyun to say something sensitive. She had to think of an appropriate answer so as not to hurt Park Soo Hyun's feelings.
"Too bad, but next week you have to want to go with me." Despite feelings of disappointment, Park Soo Hyun can't possibly force Soo Yin. He will be patient to put it off for another week and it must not fail.
"Never mind, don't force her!" Dae Hyun argued. He knew what his younger brother was thinking.
"I'd better go back to the room afraid that Yeon Ho might wake up and look for me." Soo Yin hurriedly stepped into the house. If she continued there then there was a high probability that there would have been an argument like the old ones.
