Chapter 2063 Deliberate Difficulty

“Oh, come on, you see, that ABC from just now doesn’t look like she has any hope either.”

“I always thought she had a pretty good shot, she looks like she can really fight.”

“Isn’t there still one more?”

Everyone turned to look at Ye Ning in the back.

Ye Ning was still listening to music, looking as if everything that just happened had nothing to do with her.

Everyone shook their heads even harder. “Her? Even less chance.”

At this moment…

Zhang Zhiyou nudged Ye Ning. “Alright, it’s almost your turn. Wake up, stop listening to music.”

Ye Ning made a little sound of acknowledgment, then finally took off her headphones. “Okay, I’ll go right away.”

Ye Ning stood up.

Everyone glanced back at her, not feeling anything in particular.

Ye Ning walked inside.

She saw the few directors inside, all looking at her with bored, listless expressions.

“Hey, you’re from Z Country, right?”

Ye Ning stood on the platform up front. “Yes.”

“Then you… can you cook Chinese food?”

Ye Ning shrugged.

They had assumed Ye Ning’s English wouldn’t be that great, but then they heard her up there saying, “I don’t know how to cook.”

Her English actually sounded surprisingly good.

Carl saw everyone nodding, then frowned as he looked down at her. “Oh, but our character is a native-born American, she doesn’t speak with a British accent.”

Ye Ning nodded. “Oh, really? Okay. It’s just a habit, I’ve spent more time in Europe, sorry.”

That smooth American English out of her mouth once again stunned the people below.

Carl was basically just stirring up trouble, but he hadn’t expected Ye Ning’s disguise to be that strong. It wasn’t for show—she could pass herself off as English in England, as a genuine American in America, and when she went to Russia, she could even speak English with a touch of Russian flavor.

None of that could stump her.

After hearing this, everyone looked at her with more appreciation. “Oh, you imitate it really well.”

Just now they really were casually asking something about Chinese food, because since Carl had already decided on Taylor, they felt this audition was basically pointless anyway. So they just asked a few random questions, questions that weren’t even related to the film at all, as if they were just mocking her and wasting everyone’s time.

But now, her performance actually made them want to keep watching.

“Very good. So what can you do? What have you prepared for today?”

Ye Ning said, “What would you like to see?”

“You can just show us whatever you want.”

Ye Ning swept a glance over the props on the stage.

At that moment, Carl kept needling from the side, lounging in his chair with a lazy look, like he was just here to watch a show.

“We’re not big on those staged little dramatics. Come on, these guys are our Martial Arts Instructors. You, get up there. I heard people from Z Country aren’t that good at fighting, right? Let’s see for ourselves.”

Ye Ning raised an eyebrow and saw a few tall, burly Western men walking toward her with smiles, compared to them her figure looking somewhat delicate.

The people below started watching with even more interest.

Now it was starting to look like something.

And those men all had a faintly sleazy look about them,

especially when they all moved in together toward the slender Ye Ning.

Ye Ning just looked at them, then curled her lips slightly, her gaze landing on some useful tools off to the side.

Guns—clearly prop guns, very fake. Knives, daggers, scimitars, longswords, bows and arrows, ropes, whips, nine-section whips, nunchaku, three-section staffs.
