Chapter 63: Snow land

Loid removed her hand, which had been blinding his vision, or she let him.

Anyway, now he could see.

"What’s this?" He asked, with surprise and curiosity.

In front of him stood a weird, purple wall of transparent fog or water; he didn’t know exactly what it was, but it was emerging from the land and touching the sky, or it was coming from the sky and touching the land; you couldn’t tell just by looking, but it was moving.

"This..I don’t know either", Zalanda said, with a casual shrug. " Let go, other side."

She walked, pulling his wrist, making him walk with her.

"No, wait, " Loid said, stopping his steps, but she pulled him anyway. His steps stumbled; he almost fell against her, but somehow he balanced himself.

Zalanda chuckled and stopped looking at him.

"What’re you doing?" she asked.

She was deliberately doing this!. Loid screamed in his mind, but stayed calm from the outside.

" I was saying we would freeze, or at least me," Loid said, looking at the snow strom other side of the wall, but didn’t feel even a little bit cold on this side, as this wall was dividing the weather itself. It was really fascinating to watch, but if he stepped over there just like this, that would be courting death; he was sure by now cold would have increased a lot.

" A, don’t worry about it." Zalanda said, " You think I would forget how weak you are and won’t survive in such weather."

Ahhh! She was attracting on the heart. Loid screamed in his mind

" I see, good you know", Loid said without giving her any funny expression. Fine, she could drag him wherever she wanted since she was strong; he wouldn’t complain, but he wouldn’t play with her. I would show you what true indifference is.

He would make her lose interest and leave him alone.

Zalanda again pulled him; he quietly walked with her, since she said not to worry, so he trusted her; what else could he do other than trust her?

Seriously, this weakness was pathetic; he felt disgusted at himself.

They stepped to the other side. Loid closed his eyes when the wall was about to touch his eyes, but he didn’t feel anything, not even a little bit of an increase in the air.

"What did you do?" Loid asked; now they stood on the other side, in the snowstorm, but he wasn’t feeling cold or anything.

He raised his hand; soon it was filled with snow, but it made little difference, like when you sleep with your pillow and one side gets hot and the other pleasant cold, just that much difference; other than that, he felt he didn’t even cross the wall.

"Well, I created a barrier around you to protect you, but it will only stay active until you touch me", she said with a smirk. "Won’t you say thanks"

"Thanks", Loid said plainly. And I wasn’t touching you. He said in his mind.

"So we’re going, and how long are we going to stay here?" He asked.

" Until I get to meet the demon; how long depends on it, " Zalanda said, raising her head, looking ahead.

She was damn tall; his eyes barely came to her chest. Fuck you system! Why didn’t you increase my height?

"So we’re not walking right; you are going to use your teleportation?"

As he asked, she looked at him.

" I can only teleport to the places I visited before. So you were stuck with me here for a long time." She playfully shook her shoulders.

"Whatever, Let’s move then", He said. Bruh, whom she was scaring.

"Sigh, no fun..., okay, close your eyes, I can teleport us to where I can see," Zalanda said, again raising her hand to cover his eyes.

"You know I can really do that myself." He said, but this time he didn’t try to dodge her or anything. At that point, when he had a doubt, it would just make her want to cover his eyes more.

"Shii" She let out a sound, telling him to stay silent as she covered his eyes.

The Loid didn’t know what was happening; maybe they were teleporting, or maybe they weren’t. He didn’t feel anything different. He remembered when he was in that hall with Elizabeth and Lalica and got teleported from there. He didn’t close his eyes then.

So why did he need to close them now? Was there some kind of side effect, or was she doing it for fun? There was a possibility, as she said it was her master who teleported him; maybe there was a difference between their abilities, or she was good enough.

Anyway, why was she finding a demon? What was she gonna do with it, and what if they turned out to be stronger than her? She said new land. It’s easy to guess what’s happening with this world;

It was more like one world than more worlds merged; that wall was probably dividing those worlds and its laws, stopping them from collapsing.

At least that’s what he thinks, so if those demons were new to her, why was she going to their land? Even if she was confident in her abilities, underestimating the unknown would be stupidity; there could be powerhouses too, right? And if she wanted to go, then go, but why the hell was she dragging him with her?

Seriously, he didn’t want to die. He met Elizabeth and Lalica dying soon no way in Hell; that’s not a plan. He wouldn’t have a problem with dying if his life would be the same old one.

But it changed after coming to this world. Now, he was sure that even if death came for him, he would struggle to go with her, but well, death was death; all struggles would be useless.

"Now you can open your eyes" She removed her hand from his eyes.

Loid looked around at the buildings; now all the first shops and houses were under snow, with no sign of any zombies.
