As the final boss of the tower was facing the only man left behind...

A surge of energy shot up from the said man as if he were born anew.
The tower had rules.
That if someone met the requirements to increase their ranks within the towers, they would not be expelled despite the limit, unless they either died or left on their own volition.
That was mainly why Morpheus used the tower boss to kill the remaining targets and then pretended to hold the last line so others could escape.
In the end, he did not wish to have any witnesses because most of the skills he possessed were public knowledge and belonged to the S-Rank Hunters he killed after entering the tower.
Now, as he commenced his rank up, the tables were surely to be turned...

Morpheus, whose hair suddenly turned longer and body turned far more agile but also chiseled like a Greek go,; opened his eyes.
His entire body was now brimming with energy as his gaze focused on the three-headed lighting dragon.

The strong gusts of wind suddenly rippled from his body as if he had become an entirely different being, and even the dragon boss suddenly felt an immense sense of threat.
It was simply toying with an entire party of S-Rank awakened and their supporters, but as soon as one single SS-Rank awakener appeared, it completely changed its attitude.
"Good. Although I don’t have any SS-Rank skill yet... I feel like all the S-Rank ones have become stronger by at least 50%. It shall suffice for now." he spoke with a content smile.
This was one of the major drawbacks of Morpheus’ Hunter Killer class. That he could only steal abilities from others of the same rank or higher, but never create or synthesize his own skills like a certain someone.
Yet every skill acquired also became strong with his ascent in ranks, and now that the efficiency of the skills themselves rose by half... it was a match with no restraint for Morpheus.

Morpheus cracked his knuckles and turned into his Vampire form. His speed, strength, and dexterity were further enhanced.

In the very next moment, a surge of glacial spikes arose from the floor and marched frantically towards the tower’s final boss.
This was a forward wave of icicles, each one sharper than swords and pikes, and instantaneously froze the entire battlefield.

The dragon roared violently and knew that it was a dangerous attack that must be avoided.

Its massive wings took flight, and just a few seconds before the icicle wave hit its legs, it managed to create enough distance and rose even higher.
"Rays of Constriction!" shouted Morpheus, and multiple golden orbs appeared out of thin air.
All these orbs instantly spread apart and surrounded the gigantic dragon from all directions.

They started shooting lasers at it that could instantly evaporate a normal human.
Dhang!
Although they clashed against the boss, its aura protected it from getting fatally wounded.
But alas, it still hurt the dragon a lot. And its patience had already reached its peak, and it prepared to counterattack.

From its body, the three-headed dragon launched a volley of golden lightning bolts, aiming for Morpheus with the intent to kill.

"Ha ha ha! You fell for it, sucker!" said Morpheus as he suddenly appeared just 10 meters above the flying dragon.
The lightning bolts were already shot, but the target had simply disappeared, turning the attack vain.
"Golden Fire Surge!" he shouted and activated another SS-Rank skill.
This time, he pointed both his palms towards the flying dragon, and two massive magic formations appeared.

This time, it was the magic formations that let out the roar, and the very next moment, two giant fire dragon heads launched themselves from within the formations, locking into the three-headed dragon.
This was the main AoE skill of one of the fire elemental mage hunters whom Morpheus killed not long ago. This skill was basically the one-shot move that made him invincible in group battles, especially while facing monster waves in dungeons.
The two dragon heads also had an auto-locking function that would keep chasing the target until they hit it.

The final tower boss tried to avoid it, but because of its size and the small distance between it and Morpheus, there was simply no room left for escaping.

A massive explosion occured and despite its great physical defense, the tower boss incurred serious injuries as it was hit at point-blank range due to the small gap.
Yet, the worries did not just end here.
As it was pushed below towards the ground due to the shockwaves and impact from the explosion, the already frozen ground also suddenly shot upwards, and multiple spikes arose.

The massive wings of the dragon were pierced, creating large holes as the back of the dragon itself was impaled.
Meanwhile, all three dragon heads prepared themselves and prepared to launch lightning beams towards the flying Morpheus.

"Abyssal Dark Chains!" spoke the vampire man, and the space warped around the dragon.

Multiple black chains that emanated mysterious but sinister energy came out of the warped space and instantly caged the massive dragon, even closing all three of its mouths while binding the wings and the legs.
"Divine Saint’s Retribution!" spoke Morpheus and raised his rapier.
A ginormous phantom of a white armored knight appeared above Morpheus, towering over 100 meters in height and holding a large greatsword.
"Exterminate!" he shouted, and before the tower boss could even break off the chains...
The divine phantom plunged the massive greatsword into the dragon’s heart.
BOOM!!
It not only pierced the heart but also exploded it as the phantom put out all its power in the sword.
Crumble!

The entire floor just rumbled with shockwaves as a monumental message appeared both in front of Morpheus and all the people across the country who watched the live broadcast.

The Tower of Eternity has been cleared!]

The status window informed Morpheus as he heaved a sigh of relief.
Normally, he would have leveled up if he were just another regular awakener. But his class worked differently, so he did not gain any experience.
And despite the risks and variables, he had succeeded in executing his plan. If he hadn’t managed to complete the list of his targets and left it all to luck... he would be dead, and all his goals would never come to fruition.

For all Morpheus cared, this could be a hidden boss of the tower. Hence, he had to be vigilant.
[I am a God not of this world. The one who created this tower.] spoke the ethereal being, whose location Morpheus could not pinpoint.
[I have many names in countless worlds. But you can call me...] spoke the mysterious god and revealed its name to Morpheus.
