Her Food Livestream Broke the Galaxy
Chapter 831 - 850: Late-Night Surprise for Night Owls
Late-night surprises were reserved for night owls. At 2:33 a.m., the bare Q3 column on the Federation News updated with a few videos.
Main storyline, side quests, Q&A—it had everything. Truth be told, the main video was as dull as ever.
Night owls quickly skimmed the information, thinking, "Boring as it is, this crew really knows how to film. The main video isn’t too long, and it’s peppered with natural scenery and audio commentary." As they continued listening, they figured out that this was some sort of joint drill. The event was actually pretty nice.
"[Why not hold a free clinic on Federation Star?]" Bullet comments gradually floated across the center of the screen.
"[+1, but if you think about it, you know it’s impossible on Federation Star.]"
"[? Does our Federation Star not deserve it?]"
"[They probably couldn’t gather enough people. I saw comments in the community saying there are more patients over there. How many patients do we even have on Federation Star... Plus, there aren’t enough venues.]"
Zhongxin Hospital was an important hub, and they couldn’t just casually lend it to a school for a drill. That made sense. It seemed there was no hope for Federation Star.
"[Sigh, I hate being born on the wrong planet.]"
After finishing the main video, the viewers moved on to the side content. Even the background music in the side videos was upbeat.
It began with Xiao Xiao’s filming crew complaining after arriving at Q3 Star. When the spaceship CLANKED and RATTLED, the on-screen caption read: [Genuinely worried we’re going to crash into a garbage dump.] The camera only briefly swept past the queuing crowd. This could have been a good running joke, but Xiao Xiao’s crew didn’t add any voiceover to dig into it. Everything blended together perfectly.
Upon entering the hospital, the crew got lost and joked around with their guide. During interviews, they added various emojis and texts to the students’ faces, such as: "Precious ’Baby’ Stage Treatment Video of a Spirit Healing Department Master," "The Years I Was Closest to a Spirit Healing Master," and "Shh, Watch Me Perform." This added a lot of fun to the side videos.
In the eyes of the general public, the title of Spirit Healing Master had a halo around it—a brilliantly golden one at that. Now, with the addition of these captions, the video felt full of playful teasing and joy. The bullet comments were a continuous stream of "Hahahaha."
Besides the regular side interviews, Jiang Qiuqiu and Dean XX—who received the most comments in the Federation News and the Q3 special feature—were also on the interview list. The Ju people, naturally, firmly camped out waiting for Qiuqiu.
Of course, casual onlookers also clicked into this video. The solo cut videos were a bit shorter. The runtime had to be controlled to avoid being too long, otherwise, there would be suspicions of "favoritism," which could easily spark controversy.
In the dead of night, a casual onlooker opened the Federation News interview special. She wasn’t actually a proper casual onlooker, however. She was also a Spirit Healing Master, just one who had graduated a few years ago. Her skills were average—neither great nor terrible—and she currently scraped by, making a living on a Tier-2 or Tier-3 planet. She had opened this video originally wanting to see what a genius was like, but the result...
The video started with a road. The camera was slightly shaky at first, but the picture quickly steadied. Trees on both sides receded backwards, and soon, a house appeared. As the lens continued to focus, a voice drifted into her ear. "Eh, do they sell snacks in this courtyard?"
Anyone familiar with this special feature could instantly tell that it sounded like the on-camera reporter’s voice.
Selling things? Selling snacks? That didn’t quite fit a hospital, did it? Just as the thought crossed her mind, the camera executed a silky-smooth transition, revealing a close-up shot.
