Chapter 805 - 824: He Is Happy Even When Scolded and Found Annoying
The middle-aged man was stunned.
He stared straight at the person treating him. The young man had satin-like black hair, fair and delicate skin, and perfectly proportioned fingers.
"So, they really do possess the power bestowed by the Heavenly God," he thought. Relaxed and at ease—it had been a long time since he last experienced such a feeling.
While he stood rooted to the spot in excitement, the student in front of him was growing impatient.
"Damn it," the boy cursed inwardly. "What the hell? I thought treating someone with such mild symptoms would only take a tiny bit of spiritual power. But after all those flashy techniques, a fifth of my Sea of Spirit Power is already empty! What does this mean? Can I only treat five people today?!"
Feeling his hopes for a good ranking vanish in an instant, he became fraught with irritation. Seeing the middle-aged man still standing in front of him, the student asked impatiently, "Aren’t you leaving?"
He needed to wait for the next patient.
As soon as the words left his mouth, the man nodded with profound reverence. "I’m leaving! I’ll go right now!" Before departing, he flashed a massive smile, bowed deeply to the student, and then hurried out of the clinic, his face beaming with joy. He looked completely different from when he first arrived.
The male student froze for a moment.
Here, people constantly came and went. They arrived downcast and listless, but they all left glowing with vitality, looking as though they had unearthed some earth-shattering treasure. One after another. Round after round.
In the hospital’s observation room, another screen lit up along the circular rim. Unlike the projection in the center, this screen on the right displayed a leaderboard. It was divided into school rankings and individual rankings.
A total of fourteen schools were participating in this charity clinic, with over eleven thousand students involved. The individual rankings, true to their name, were split into four tiers. They tracked who treated the most patients in each tier; the more patients treated, the higher the rank.
The school leaderboard was far simpler. Since each school brought a different number of students, a direct comparison of total patients treated wasn’t entirely fair. Instead, it only displayed how many students from each of the fourteen schools had made it into the top 100 within the four tiers.
And as of right now, the school with the most students in the C-level top 100 surprisingly wasn’t Federation University, despite them having the largest student body. Holding the temporary number one spot was the neighboring Noble Spirit Healing Academy, Rose College.
The teachers from Rose College wore wide smiles upon seeing their first-place ranking.
Amidst the discussions, someone finally entered the A+ Level clinic!
A sharp-eyed teacher immediately enlarged the central screen. The chatter faded as everyone focused their attention on the middle. The top right corner of the screen displayed the attending Healer’s school, name, and spiritual power level.
School: Rose College.
Name: Su Xiaowei.
Spiritual Power Level: A+ Level.
She was considered a top-tier senior student, anchoring the lineup for Rose College.
Unlike the patients in the other clinics, the patient in Su Xiaowei’s room wasn’t skinny. On the contrary, he was incredibly fat. In an era where the average refugee was as thin as a sheet of paper, his corpulence was remarkably bizarre.
His skin looked as if it had been soaked in water—swollen and bloated. Stretched taut, the dark skin revealed faint white striations woven throughout, making him resemble an overinflated balloon. Yet, the way his fat jiggled made it clear that there was actual flesh beneath that paper-thin skin.
In short, it was incredibly eerie.
"Radiation sickness," someone in the observation room identified.
Radiation sickness was a common affliction among workers who mined rare ores. It was quite a troublesome condition.
One of the supervisors clicked his tongue. "Rose Dean, it seems this student of yours has rather poor luck."
Rose Dean took one look, and his face darkened.
