Chapter 134 - Two Hearts Beating as One
Chapter 134: Two Hearts Beating as One
He Wei immediately went to do it after he got Yun Xiangxiang’s permission. They wouldn’t even give a little portion of a page to Yun Xiangxiang if it was the new year’s issue.
Yun Xiangxiang was going to Italy to film the ad in February as well. He Wei negotiated with the magazine’s company for a long time before deciding to shoot the interview in February and releasing it in the first week of March’s issue.
He Wei still accompanied Yun Xiangxiang on this trip to New York. She specially brought China’s items as gifts to Austin and Percy.
Austin was a very savvy businessman. He went out of his way to call He Wei to tell him that the sales situation for the six sets of jewelry was off.
He called He Wei because he owed He Wei one. He didn’t want He Wei’s actress to be targeted by any big capitalist without their knowledge.
Austin guessed that Yun Xiangxiang had an indomitable supporter behind her when He Wei didn’t reply to his call and when the top socialites from six nations appeared in the Ball of Blue Blood wearing those jewelry.
Percy even knew who that supporter was.
They were quite warm toward Yun Xiangxiang. Putting everything aside, the sales Yun Xiangxiang brought in alone had made them quite proud.
Austin invited Yun Xiangxiang and He Wei to live in his house this time. He even prepared a nightgown and a set of jewelry for Yun Xiangxiang in earnest.
“Mr. Percy, is everything okay with your health?” Yun Xiangxiang chatted with Percy while Austin and He Wei talked about business.
“Last week, the doctor said that my cancer cells have stopped spreading,” Percy was jubilant when this matter was mentioned.
“This is truly great news,” Yun Xiangxiang was also happy for Percy.
“I want to thank you,” Percy took out the gift that he prepared and handed it to Yun Xiangxiang while he was speaking. “This is the gift that you wanted.”
Yun Xiangxiang took it immediately. When the gift box was opened, two brooches were revealed to be its content.
It was prettier than what she drew. She actually didn’t understand design. She only drew the style she wanted and sent them to percy.
This pair of brooches were cloud shaped circles made of platinum. There was a crown lying in the middle that was embedded with gems.
The men’s crown was a king’s crown, while the lady’s was a queen’s crown. They had different shapes and had purple sapphire embedded into them.
Her surname was Yun [1]. The cloud represented her.
His name was Mian. Mian meant the emperor’s crown. The king’s crown represented Song Mian.
It implied one of China’s ancient romantic writings: There is me in you, there is you in me.
As for the reason it was made into brooches, it was because the chest was the place nearest to the heart.
She still remembered Song Mian saying that he wanted her to place him in her heart.
“It’s just so beautiful,” Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t help but touch it lightly.
She wished that Song Mian was in front of her right now. She would be able to give this to him earlier.
I want to see his expression.
Her phone rang as if it knew what she was thinking. This was the ringtone of Song Mian.
Yun Xiangxiang had forgotten that Percy was there. She took out her phone and accepted the call.
“Where are you?”
“Where are you?”
Both of them spoke the same thing at the same time. Both of them laughed sweetly after saying that.
“I’m at my home,” Song Mian replied first.
Yun Xiangxiang knew that the home he was talking about was where they had a meal together last time.
“I’ll notify Brother Wei and get a lift to your place,” Yun Xiangxiang still remembered the address.
“Send me your address. I’ll have Song Yao pick you up,” Song Mian added when he seemed to worry that Yun Xiangxiang would be dissatisfied because he didn’t go himself, “I’ll be making some great food while waiting for you.”
“What are you making now?” Yun Xiangxiang was quite curious.
“Something I just recently learned. I did some experiments. I’m only showing it to you now because I feel that I have got it,” Song Mian didn’t say it directly.
“I’m coming over now,” Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t wait.
Yun Xiangxiang said unabashedly when she was faced with Percy’s smiling gaze after she hung up, “My boyfriend.”
“I can see that both of you are happy and sweet,” Percy nodded.
Yun Xiangxiang stood up and searched for He Wei. She also directly said that her boyfriend was picking her up. Since He Wei had already known about this, Yun Xiangxiang naturally didn’t want to hide it.
He Wei didn’t stop her. Song Yao soon called her. He Wei only relaxed once he sent her off to Song Yao’s car himself.
“It smells so nice…” Yun Xiangxiang noticed the aroma once she stepped inside. Hunger instantly washed over her.
Compared to Yun Xiangxiang’s expectant face, Song Yao’s face was bitter with agony.
Their young master had only started practicing on this dish for a little more than a month. Heaven knows how many portions he had to eat as an experiment subject!
He ate almost non stop for a month. He wanted to barf just by smelling it right now.
“I won’t disturb Miss Yun and the young master’s sweet moment,” Song Yao immediately closed the door and ran for it after he waited for Yun Xiangxiang to step inside.
He was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to hold it if he smelled it any longer!
Yun Xiangxiang was perplexed when she saw Song Yao trying to escape with all his might. Once she got into the kitchen, she asked, “What’s up with Song Yao?”
“His stomach isn’t feeling well these couple of days,” Song Mian answered lightly.
Song Yao would probably feel indignant if he heard that: And who’s the one who poisoned my stomach until it became like this?!
“Another dish?” Yun Xiangxiang stretched her neck to try to look inside, but it was covered tightly. “What kind of awesome dish is it this time?”
“Kong Family’s Yipin Pot,” Song Mian didn’t keep it under wraps anymore. “This can be counted as a medicinal dish. It can energize your body, maintain your beauty, and slow aging to an extent.”
Song Mian paired it with traditional Chinese medicinal ingredients without affecting the taste too.
“The days of having a boyfriend are just too happy,” Yun Xiangxiang wrapped her arms around Song Mian’s waist.
“Does the boyfriend get any reward for being so good?” Song Mian consciously bent down to get his handsome face closer to Yun Xiangxiang.
Yun Xiangxiang gave him a quick kiss before pushing him away and then placed the custom made gift she ordered in front of him, “New Year’s gift.”
Song Mian looked at Yun Xiangxiang before lowering his head and opened the box. His hypnotic purplish-black eyes shone when he saw the pair of brooches. His smile added to his already peerless appearance.
“I also have a New Year’s gift for you,” Song Mian took Yun Xiangxiang to the living quarters. There was a cube shaped gift-box sitting on the living room’s table.
Yun Xiangxiang Was astonished after she opened it.
Song Mian’s gift for her was a ring that shone brilliantly. There was a flat cloud in the middle of the golden ring. A crown was carved on the cloud.
“Pfft!” Yun Xiangxiang picked the ring up. “It seems like both our hearts are beating as one.”
“Careful,” Song Mian held Yun Xiangxiang’s hand while she was looking at the ring in detail. “This isn’t a normal ring. There’s a hidden mechanism here. The surface of the ring can release five thousand volts of electricity if you activate it.”
Yun Xiangxiang looked at the little bar protruding from the bottom of the ring. She couldn’t help but feel that the ring was quite scalding now.
Song Mian smirked and wore the ring on Yun Xiangxiang’s finger himself. “The current only flows on the surface. You’ll also need considerable strength to activate it.”
Yun Xiangxiang tried it, and it sure wasn’t easily activated. She opened her hand in front of Song Mian, “Boyfriend, why is this ring on the ring finger [2]?”
Song Mian explained seriously on this, “The point of activation lies on the bottom part of the ring. It’s activated by the thumb. The base of the ring finger is the most convenient spot for activation.”
Yun Xiangxiang checked the distance between the thumb and the base of every finger. The ring finger was really the most convenient of all.
