“…” In just a few seconds, Nio still managed to fly to a nearby forest that had survived all of it, though most of the trees had fallen. Nio is covered in wounds and blood, and her skin burns from the sunlight pouring in full force through the hole her attack tore open.

“…You…really should have died…” Nio murmurs to Typhon, who now, without her armor, has returned to her normal speed and appears before Nio. She followed Nio to finish what they started.

“How mean, Nio. Wishing death on someone who loves you so much is a little cruel, but that’s alright, I understand. That was a wonderful attack — I’ve never seen it before. Did you create it in that moment? I’m impressed,” Typhon praises Nio with a smile while Nio points her staff at her.

“Your politeness right now genuinely disgusts me. Aren’t you going to run? You’re nearly dead,” Nio questions with frustration. She had expected Typhon to flee after taking such a devastating attack.

“You’re badly hurt too, Nio. And I’m not running… don’t tell me you did all this hoping I’d flee so you’d have time to recover? I’m no coward, Nio. We’ll end this here.” Typhon is completely naked, and she knows her body couldn’t handle equipping any gear right now, so she chooses to fight like this.

Nio, on the other hand, still has her gear on. Though extremely torn, its passives and abilities are still active.

“Enough talking,” Nio says, aiming at Typhon and firing low-level magic. Typhon dodges, which makes it clear she’s not well at all despite appearances. She tries to hit Nio, coating her fists in a dark green energy, but Nio dodges and spins her whole body, slamming her tail into Typhon’s stomach and sending her flying back.

High-Level Magic: [Dimensional Cut] — Unleashes a red slash that severs the time dimension from the three spatial dimensions, temporarily nullifying regeneration.

Despite her wounds, Nio can still cast high-level magic like the powerful mage she is. The cut strikes Typhon’s left arm, tearing it clean off.

Seizing the moment, Nio uses low-level earth magic to turn the ground beneath Typhon into an extremely liquid mud, causing Typhon’s leg to sink and throwing her balance off completely.

The dirty trick disorients Typhon, and just as she’s about to fire off a high-level spell, she suffers the negative effect of [Madness], hallucinating Nio behind her. She spins around and fires a black beam into the trees, blasting a hole through them.

By the time she realizes her mistake, it’s too late. Nio shapes the orb at the tip of her staff into a blade, forming a spear that she drives into Typhon’s head. The blade spins like a drill, liquefying Typhon’s brain completely.

But Nio knows that isn’t enough to kill Typhon, who should still have some MP left to regenerate with her Corrupted Saint class.

“Die!” Nio unleashes a massive wave of Mana inside Typhon’s body, making it explode completely — to the point where Typhon couldn’t regenerate with her current MP. Blood and flesh spray onto Nio’s body as she gasps in pain from the movements she’s forcing her exhausted body to make.

“H-Hahaha… I-I won!! I really won!!” Nio speaks with immeasurable joy in her voice, realizing she defeated her greatest enemy. The euphoria in her eyes is enormous — she won this fight.

“See, Nioh, I—” Nio’s chest is pierced by a spear from behind her. Nio loses control to her instincts, turning to spit flames on reflex, but an attack from in front of her cuts her head off while another strikes her belly, eviscerating her. Her organs spill to the ground with a wet sound.

“…Hun—” She doesn’t even have time to feel confused as her head falls to the ground, rolling. And the last thing she sees are Yomo and Haruna, who saw this moment as an opportunity.

“…” Nio can’t speak — she’s lost her head and has no magic left — but she’s still alive. Nio’s eyes roll, looking up at Yomo with tears, realizing she’s going to die.

“Sorry, Nio. I underestimated you. You’re still an extremely powerful monster even after getting weaker. That explosion was terrifying — it would’ve had enough power to kill me instantly, right? Truly our boss,” Yomo says with mockery mixed with a certain respect, picking up Nio’s decapitated head.

“Sorry, Nio!! I really wanted to eviscerate you at least once in my life! I’m so sorry!” Haruna speaks with a genuinely apologetic tone, but without actually caring about betraying Nio.

Nio’s eyes focus on Yomo’s, and he steals a kiss from her blood-covered lips. He slides his tongue in, savoring her blood as he pulls back slightly, swallowing the mixture of blood and saliva.

“Don’t worry, Nio. I’ll take good care of your body. I’m going to love fucking your decapitated head every week, and I’ll sew up your belly so you’ll be good as new. Be happy — your body will keep existing, hehehe,” Yomo says with an utterly disgusting tone and a repulsive smile on his face.

The attitude of a true monster. Nio’s eyes begin to close as everything fades around her. Nio knows she won’t be “avenged” — because her NPCs aren’t loyal.

Her death will only cause chaos to unfold, because now most of them will abandon her palace and roam the world. At most, Azalea would still care, but Yomo will probably steal the palace and drive everyone out.

Nio’s clone in the theocracy turns to ash, beginning to dissolve due to Nio’s death, while Yomo starts taking off his clothes.

“Hey, you disgusting creep, don’t do that here,” Haruna says in an irritated tone.

“Shut up, Haruna. I should enjoy my prize while she’s still warm. You can leave if you want…” Yomo says as Haruna snatches a small piece of Nio’s entrails and starts walking away.

All the apostles witness Nio’s death through the image created by Moros’s magic. Most reactions are cold — they think Nio was impressive, but they don’t feel much about her death.

Only three show more reaction. Vesta finds Yomo’s cowardly act of teleporting there and killing a weakened Nio despicable, feeling pity for Nio losing that way. Moros begins to cry, thrash, and swear vengeance against Yomo. And Azalea watches with an extremely dark gaze as Yomo defiles the girl she has so much interest in.
