Chapter 110: True Voice

"Special Magic: [Eyes of Apocalypse]" Nio uses Special Magic that comes from her Special Class of Madness Dragon.

Special Magic: [Eyes of Apocalypse] Anything within the field of vision receives the effect of [Divine Corrosion], this effect scales with the target’s defense or with the number of enemies, the more defense or the more enemies the more the corrosion increases its power, anything corroded begins to twist inward, slowly crushing itself into a spiral.

Nio bets on reality, since it’s no longer a game she believes she’s capable of breaking Typhon’s armor, Nio’s eyes glow in a strange red giving her a "deranged" look where it’s possible to see the purest manifestation of madness in her pupils.

Typhon who is within reach of her vision is "hit," but to Nio’s surprise Typhon "dodges" using the passive [Absolute Dodge], unlike Nio, Typhon can use this ability on purpose, but only once every several minutes because she doesn’t have the Absolute Deviant class, in exchange the dodge is 100% guaranteed which makes up for the cost of use.

"!!!" Typhon closes the distance completely throwing a barrage of punches, but Nio’s body quickly dodges everything leaving projections of herself wherever she passes, Nio’s dodge speed is astonishing making none of Typhon’s physical attacks even come close to hitting her.

However Nio also can’t attack during the dodge since it would require her to stop dodging, plus the magic she just used didn’t land on Typhon which only resulted in a waste of magic without applying Divine Corrosion to Typhon.

"!!!" A punch connects with Nio’s face releasing a black beam that exits from the other side of Nio’s cheek, but the damage is 0 and Typhon becomes completely blind, which Nio takes advantage of to create distance.

"[Crimson Nova]" Nio uses a faster magic exploding Typhon who doesn’t receive a single scratch as Nio expected.

"[Spiritual Sentence]" Nio tries another class of High Level magic, focused on landing another type of damage.

[Spiritual Sentence] Applies direct damage to the enemy’s HP, in exchange it restores the enemy’s MP, converting HP into MP by force.

The attack is effective, directly affecting Typhon’s HP, and ironically since this attack isn’t considered an attack, Typhon’s defense is useless, however in exchange Typhon’s MP restored itself and her magical release became completely stable as if she hadn’t even cast several powerful spells.

Nio drinks a healing potion and an MP potion while Typhon recovers her vision, but Typhon turns her back to Nio and attacks an hallucination of Nio that she sees because of the [Madness] debuff in her body.

Of course Nio takes advantage of this perfect opening approaching Typhon from behind, she passes the staff in front of Typhon and grabs both ends with force pulling the staff against Typhon’s throat.

The middle of the staff becomes a blade lightly cutting Typhon’s throat while Nio arches her body forward pulling with all her strength to cut her head off, Typhon grabs the staff trying to push it forward.

"As I imagined!" Nio speaks arrogantly, what happened was simply an "Item Overlap," Typhon’s armor despite increasing defense absurdly only does so in the protected area, in the game this didn’t matter, in reality Typhon’s head and neck only have Typhon’s own base defense, and because Nio’s staff is an item of [Secret] rarity it deals real damage to Typhon’s body.

"GRRAAAAAHHHHHHRRRR!!" Typhon lets out a roar, the sound is so loud it generates a sonic explosion around with a boom, Nio’s ears bleed while her eardrums burst and she hears a long static sound like an unpleasant buzzing.

Nio has no way to dodge a sound coming from a roar, it would be like trying to dodge words which her items can’t do, so the roar is extremely effective against her.

Nio ends up releasing Typhon involuntarily and she uses this to retreat a little while Nio puts her hands on her ears, her face covered in tears while her vision blurs completely and she almost lets the staff fall from her hands, she can hear the sound reverberating through her brain without stopping.

Throwing all her senses into extreme disarray, her entire body enters a state of panic, Typhon’s voice isn’t "normal" and never was, when she gets irritated her tone of voice returns to its original, a distorted and unpleasant cacophony to hear.

None of that beautiful and seductive voice she normally uses all the time, her irritated roar is the purest manifestation of her original tone of voice, which is capable of killing anyone weaker than Typhon, it’s a sound that wasn’t made for mortals to hear.

Although Nio doesn’t notice, the sound echoes across the entire planet, which makes all living creatures that don’t even hear the sound and only feel the vibration of the air stop moving and look in the direction it came from.

The vibration generated by the sound is so strong it can even escape the planet’s atmosphere going outward.

The effect’s range is low so no one besides Nio is affected, Typhon takes advantage to try to attack Nio covering her fists in red energy, but Nio dodges automatically thanks to her set of items even though her mind is dazed and she’s covering her ears and unable to see or reason.

The confusion in Nio’s mind is so high that she can’t even really think of anything, her mind can’t formulate sentences, contexts or understand what words mean, a disturbing effect that lasts several seconds.

She even gets hit by some of Typhon’s blows, losing a whole minute of the fight before her brain manages to think normally again, Nio retreats backward seeing her body covered in blood even though she dodged most of the punches.

"Y-You freak" Nio says seeing Typhon doubled from how messed up her vision is, she didn’t expect that a "scream" could be so terrible to hear.

"Thanks for the compliment Nio" Nio’s uniform gets dirty with blood switching its mode to [Yandere] which is a good opportunity for her if the damage is returned at some point when she receives a strong attack.
