Hell Singularity: Awakened as a Nightmare Dragon After the Game Ends
Chapter 105: Totally Ready
While all this chaos affects millions of people, the real Nio isn’t even actually in the Theocracy — she’s on a mountain drawing a magic circle on the ground.
No help from Nioh, no conversation, just preparing her "arena" to fight against Typhon. She even let the magic spread out as a signal that, once she’s done, will make it clear to Typhon exactly where she is.
"If I win this fight, great. If I can’t kill her, I hope Typhon at least runs away and backs off..." This time Nio is prepared. She’s wearing the [Divinity Assassin Set], her strongest custom outfit.
Of course, [Divinity Assassin Set] isn’t an "item" — it’s the name of the Build Nio herself created, a set of specific items she made in the game for a specific purpose.
It’s a set of items consisting of the Witch Hunter’s Armor + Divine Girl’s Mantle + Corruption Tiara + Agramaniacomy Earrings + Crescent Moon Battle Skirt + Prismatic Panties.
Visually, Nio is wearing an elegant black outfit with faint white glimmers. It’s a short black skirt that falls just above mid-thigh, with tiny engravings of soft silver stars so small they’re barely visible. When she moves too much, it ends up showing her pure white panties.
The upper part is extremely tight against her body, leaving her belly and navel exposed, while the outfit has a considerable neckline around her chest area, with a black collar around her neck connected to the dress strap. The whole set uses shades of black and silver, so overall it’s a very beautiful outfit.
The earrings are shaped like a crescent moon, and the tiara on her head is a small black tiara with a red jewel. On her back rests a black mantle that falls like a short cape without affecting her wings, and on her hands are two black gloves with black metal studs on the part of the gloves that reaches toward her elbows.
Each item complements the others, and all of them have very specific buffs. Even though Nio is a mage, the class set she picked to suppress certain weaknesses actually ended up slightly reducing her Magic damage.
To overcome that, she mainly chose buff items, even if some of them take things away from her.
Witch Hunter’s Armor: Two Black Gloves with Studs. They reduce physical defense by 50% in exchange for increasing any magic damage by 20%, increase MP Regeneration by 30%, and reduce magic cost by 10%.
Divine Girl’s Mantle: A Black Mantle like a cape. It possesses the Segmented Stellar Blessing, which makes any magical attack from the user carry a Stellar Buff. If it’s daytime, attacks receive a 30% Damage Buff. If it’s nighttime, they receive a 40% MP Regeneration Buff.
Corruption Tiara: A small cursed Black Tiara with a Red Jewel at the center. It applies [Seduction] + [Aggro], making the user extremely attractive and then applying [Lust], which draws all enemy attention to the user. In exchange, anyone with the Lust effect receives a defense Debuff, losing 10% of their Total Defense.
Agramaniacomy Earrings: Earrings Belonging to the Ancient Moon Goddess. In exchange for reducing the effectiveness of any healing on the user by 50%, they also reduce the regeneration, healing, and defense of any enemy who reduces up to 10% of the user’s HP. The enemy who fulfills that requirement suffers a 50% drop in regeneration, healing, and defense.
Crescent Moon Battle Skirt: A short, seductive skirt with small engravings of silver stars like a black-and-white universe. It increases the user’s defense the lower their HP is, up to a maximum of 60%. However, the user can sacrifice this extra defense for 80% more damage in exchange for taking 20% more damage from enemy attacks, as well as applying the [Confusion] effect, which lasts one second each time the enemy sees under the skirt.
Prismatic Panties: A divine item, a pure white intimate piece with the ability to purify negative effects over time, though it reduces the effectiveness of negative effects applied by the user as a trade-off.
Besides using her item set that she always used to fight bosses, Nio also decided to use the [Prismatic Blood Pentagon], her strongest weapon.
Nio has multiple item sets for different occasions. The Divinity Assassin Set is just the set that maximizes Nio’s DPS. Nio doesn’t see a long battle as being favorable.
So she bets everything on having so much destructive power per attack that Typhon will be forced to retreat — or die. Even though the Divinity Assassin Set greatly reduces Nio’s defense, which is already bad because she’s a mage.
Nio is also largely sacrificing her own ability to heal with potions and magic so that Typhon can’t either.
"I don’t think this is enough..." Nio takes three potions out of her inventory. Although she wanted to use more items and potions, she can’t — her body wouldn’t handle it. When she opens her Status, she can already see the numbers flashing red. If she tries to go past the limit, she’ll start taking continuous damage.
[Master Assassin Potion] Maximum Attribute Increase Potion. It increases the 3 main attributes by 20%. In the case of a mage, it increases Magic Release, Magic Containment, and Base Mana.
[Moral Decay Potion] In exchange for taking 3 times more damage from any negative effect, any magical or physical attack generates a Strengthened Random Debuff on the enemy.
[Infernal Hunt Potion] Any hit made by the user applies [Infernal Flame] and [Blood Worm] to the enemy. Infernal Flame reduces the enemy’s defense, damage, max HP, magic, and magic release, while Blood Worm reduces the enemy’s healing capacity by 10%. However, upon drinking the potion, the user loses 20% of their Max HP until the potion’s effect ends.
"Alright... deep breath... I’m a glass cannon. I have less defense, less HP, and less healing. In exchange, I have damage so staggering that a low-level spell matches a high-level spell... I can win..." Nio would like words of support from Nioh, but her pride speaks louder, and she doesn’t even ask for help learning more about her enemy.
"...Just before everything starts, I’ll drink the potions and begin the battle..." Nio doesn’t admit how nervous and scared she is about this. She doesn’t know when Typhon will arrive, but she stays ready on this mountain for the fight while the emitted magic begins to spread to attract Typhon.
"I’m going to win... it’s like a game, just like facing a boss. I’ve always done this... I’m even using the [Prismatic Blood Pentagon]... Typhon won’t beat me..." She murmurs nervously as her weapon takes the form of a long scepter with a pink sphere floating at the top and a guard on the upper and lower parts of each end to parry blows.
"It really is a shame that, just like in the game, the body has a limit to how many Buffs it can handle... I have over 500 potions with unique effects that I’d love to use... but whatever... let’s end this. I’ll beat her... come at me, Typhon. This time I’m prepared."
