Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage
Chapter 301: Build a New Home
Realizing that Priam understood the gravity and purpose of everything, Heaven’s Will pulsed gently.
A crystalline rune of knowledge manifested in the air and floated toward Priam’s forehead, perfectly assimilating into his soul.
Then, the bluish flame began to twist violently.
*BUZZ!*
The entire crimson domain trembled and hummed at a resonant frequency. Priam quickly turned toward the flame.
"Wait! What will happen to this world and all the living beings in it when you give me the essence?"
The trembling around them stopped for a brief second.
"Isn’t it obvious? All the remaining living beings will disappear shortly afterward. I will give the essence to you and completely remove the seal from the world’s pillars. That way, the Sovereigns will take what remains all at once. For us... this will be a worthy end."
Priam swallowed hard. Every realm, race, history, and treasure that existed in that world would be wiped from existence. A bitter pang of pain pierced his chest, yet Heaven’s Will itself had made it clear that there was no other way.
At that moment, Priam thought of Dandara and his allies outside.
He felt no anguish for them, because he knew perfectly well the new level of strength his vice-leader had reached. Dandara’s peak power might only last for a short time, but her tactical leadership and ability to guide the army to victory were overwhelming.
The days when the half-beast woman depended on protection were definitively in the past; Dandara had become the most extraordinary and reliable ally he could have at his side.
After all... she was the reincarnation of the Sovereign Goddess.
The spatial tremor returned with twice the force. The Heaven’s Will had sunk into deep concentration, carrying out a meticulous process that would take time.
Almost half an hour passed in silence.
"The battle outside has ended," the entity’s voice echoed again. "I will open the spatial rift and allow only Mages to cross. After that, I will transfer the essence to you, and my mission will be complete."
Hearing the limitation of ’only Mages,’ Priam instantly remembered two individuals.
"Wait! Bring Arvid and Mo Lan too. They don’t have to meet the same fate."
The bluish flame subtly fluctuated.
Seconds later, a colossal spatial rift tore open in the air behind Priam. He and the Heaven’s Will remained isolated at a great distance, surrounded by a translucent celestial-blue barrier.
Through the breach, Priam watched the march of an army of just over two thousand figures, covered in enemy blood.
A subtle smile of relief appeared on his face. They were all Mage Masters now.
They had not only exterminated the Sorcerers, but had also massacred the sect’s Mages, driven by an insatiable thirst for revenge. Although some of the enemy forces had certainly escaped in the chaos, at least two-thirds of the opposing army had been completely wiped out.
The soldiers entered the crimson space in confusion.
There was no sky, ground, or geographical reference points, and no matter how much they looked around, they couldn’t see Priam or the barrier. Some looked back with concern, noticing that the Beasts that had fought alongside them were unable to cross the portal.
Shortly afterward, Arvid and Mo Lan emerged from the rift with bitter expressions. The members of their respective races had been blocked, but for some unknown reason, the two of them had been allowed to cross.
"It’s done," declared the Heaven’s Will.
Priam turned toward the entity and found himself facing a shimmering rune pulsing with a polychromatic spectrum. Just by looking at it, he felt his own soul tremble beneath the oppression of that primordial power.
"I condensed the entirety of the World Essence into this rune. You won’t be able to channel all of it immediately, but you can gradually unveil its power."
The rune gently moved forward and passed through Priam’s chest, taking root in the core of his soul. It stabilized immediately, resting in perfect stillness without emitting any aura.
"Ah, yes... as for the three heroic relics: their souls must return to me. I created them, and they possess a connection to this world’s pillars."
Priam nodded in agreement and took the three relics out of his spatial ring.
Floating in the air, three luminous orbs detached themselves from the objects.
Then, the remaining metallic structure began to melt and twist like liquid iron, condensing into three massive metal plates: one of immaculate white, another golden, and the last a deep blue.
The three plates gently floated into Priam’s hands.
"The metal used in their forging is extraordinary," explained the Heaven’s Will. "I fused multiple supreme-tier divine metals from this world, using the authority of the world’s laws themselves. You’ll hardly find anything of this quality in the near future. By channeling the World Essence I gave you, it’ll be easy to melt them down and reforge them into something new."
Priam’s eyes lit up.
He grabbed the three gleaming plates and immediately stored them in his spatial ring. Although he didn’t use weapons and had no intention of doing so, who in their right mind would turn down a treasure of that caliber?
"Alright, I’ll begin removing the seal. The process will take about five minutes. You want to reunite with your people, correct?"
Priam silently nodded.
"Excellent. Then this is our farewell. I thank you from the bottom of my existence for your help. I hope you fulfill your mission... or many other worlds, just like mine, will inevitably be devoured by those six."
Priam took a deep breath, fixing his gaze on the bluish flame.
"I’ll do my best."
As soon as the words left his mouth, the protective barrier dissipated.
Priam propelled himself through the air, gently floating toward the figures gathered in the distance.
"PRIAM!"
Flaris was the first to spot him, letting out a fervent roar of relief.
In an instant, the crowd of Mages turned toward him, erupting into cheers and tears of joy.
Priam landed firmly in front of the army and turned around, meeting Dandara’s emotional gaze.
"Good job," he said with a genuine smile.
Dandara bit her lower lip, and her eyes overflowed like an open spring.
She had entered that world consumed by fear of the future, feeling fragile, vulnerable, and powerless over her own fate. To her, being a burden on the journey had been her worst nightmare.
However, hearing that genuine praise and seeing the satisfaction in his eyes made all her pain evaporate. She finally felt that she wasn’t useless—that being born a half-beast hadn’t been a curse, but rather the beginning of a life that was finally worth living.
Priam turned toward Arvid and Mo Lan, who were watching the scene just a few steps away.
"You two... I have something extremely important to tell you."
The two seemed to tense up, but nodded.
"We trust you," Arvid declared in a serious voice. "We know you don’t wish us any harm."
Priam sighed, quickly considering how to condense the truth. But his time was very limited; he could only speak openly while leaving out some parts.
"I’ll be direct: I spoke with the Heaven’s Will. Unfortunately, this world is doomed beyond salvation. However... in the future, somewhere else, a new home may emerge for all the races of this world."
Priam kept things as vague as possible. He wasn’t lying, but he wasn’t telling them the full truth—that they would all die soon.
"That’s why I asked the Heaven’s Will to bring you here," he continued, indicating his vice-leader. "You already know Dandara. You’ve also seen that she took in six native allies from this world. Soon, we’ll be taken away from here, and she’ll take them with her. Don’t you want to go with her? Don’t you want to help find and build this new home?"
Arvid and Mo Lan froze.
The confirmation that their own world was about to collapse was a devastating blow to both their souls. However, the promise of a new home lit a spark in their hearts.
"I don’t have time to answer all your questions right now," Priam concluded solemnly. "I only promise that Dandara will take good care of you. In time, you’ll understand everything."
Dandara stepped forward, looking at the two with benevolent determination.
Mo Lan and Arvid exchanged a quick glance, weighing the burden of that definitive choice.
Shortly afterward.
"I’ll go," Mo Lan stated without hesitation.
Arvid let out a resigned snort and nodded. "I’ll go too."
A radiant smile appeared on Dandara’s face. She quickly approached and extended her hands; two dark-purple runes burst from her palms.
"This isn’t a servitude seal," she explained with complete sincerity. "You’ll retain complete autonomy over your lives, but you need to remain connected to my essence at all times."
Without any resistance, the two allowed the marks to flow into their souls.
"Perfect. Now, enter my inner space."
With a wave of Dandara’s hand, light enveloped Arvid and Mo Lan. Their forms shrank into beams of light and were absorbed directly into her body.
The moment the transfer was completed...
*KBOOOOOM!*
A cataclysmic collision echoed throughout the entire area. It was the signal: the seal on the pillars had been broken.
The next second, an unbearable flash erupted around the two thousand Mages, instantly blinding them.
Reality collapsed. Everyone felt their bodies being sucked into a swirling vortex in motion; it was as if they were falling endlessly.
It was the same sensation as when they had been sent to this world.
They were going home!
