Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Goblin Shaman

The Hobgoblin with the axe roared and charged.

The other followed immediately. Suldun did not retreat.

The axe came down from above with enough force to split a person in half.

Suldun stepped sideways, the weapon smashed into the ground.

Before the Hobgoblin could recover, Suldun’s sword flashed.

Clang!

The Hobgoblin raised his axe just in time to block the strike.

The axe-wielding Hobgoblin immediately pushed forward, using its greater physical strength to force Suldun backward. At the same time, the second Hobgoblin moved in from the side, swinging its enormous iron club toward his ribs.

The coordination was surprisingly clean. One attacked from the front while the other covered the escape route, clearly following the formation Veyra had taught them.

Suldun’s eyes sharpened.

"So that’s how you’re fighting."

He lowered his body just as the iron club swept over his head. The weapon passed close enough to disturb his hair, but Suldun did not retreat. Instead, he stepped directly into the opening between the two Hobgoblins.

His sword moved.

Clang!

The blade struck the axe-wielding Hobgoblin’s weapon and forced it aside. Suldun immediately followed with a kick to its abdomen.

Bang!

The Hobgoblin’s feet left the ground as its massive body was thrown several meters backward.

Before Suldun could follow up, the second Hobgoblin swung its club again.

Suldun turned.

The club slammed against his sword.

The impact forced him to slide backward several meters, his boots carving lines into the ground.

He looked at the Hobgoblin and smiled beneath his hood.

Behind the two Hobgoblins, the twenty normal goblins immediately changed formation. Several moved toward Suldun from the sides while others remained behind the frontline.

They were not simply standing around waiting for their turn to attack. They were deliberately surrounding him, attempting to prevent him from breaking through toward the Shaman Hobgoblin.

The Shaman raised its staff, and a greenish glow gathered around the tip.

Suldun’s expression became serious.

"So the shaman is the boss."

The spell was released.

A wave of magical energy spread across the battlefield, enveloping the two Hobgoblins.

Their muscles tightened, their movements became faster.

The damage they had suffered began to recover.

Suldun clicked his tongue.

"A support-type shaman, that’s annoying."

The axe-wielding Hobgoblin charged again. This time, its movements were faster.

The axe swept horizontally. Suldun blocked it.

The second Hobgoblin attacked immediately afterward.

The club came down. Suldun jumped backward.

The two weapons struck the ground at almost the same time.

Boom!

Dust exploded outward.

Suldun landed several meters away and looked at the monsters surrounding him.

For the first time since entering the dungeon, he drew his sword back slightly and changed his stance.

"All right."

A faint red glow began gathering around his sword.

"Let’s stop playing around."

Ragnar’s eyes immediately focused on the floating screen.

"Oh?"

Kaelira also leaned forward slightly.

"He is finally using a skill."

The energy around Suldun’s sword intensified.

Flames began crawling along the blade.

The temperature inside the goblin village suddenly increased.

The normal goblins instinctively stepped backward, while the two Hobgoblins tightened their grips on their weapons.

Suldun looked at the flames covering his sword.

"Flame Edge."

The moment he finished speaking, his body disappeared.

Boom!

He shot forward.

The axe-wielding Hobgoblin barely managed to raise its weapon.

Clang!

The flaming sword collided with the axe. The difference was overwhelming.

The Hobgoblin’s weapon was cut apart. Suldun continued forward without stopping.

His sword struck the Hobgoblin’s shoulder, cutting deeply through its flesh before the monster was thrown backward.

The second Hobgoblin roared and charged. Its club came crashing down.

Suldun twisted his body, and the weapon narrowly missed. He stepped beside the Hobgoblin and slashed across its side.

Suldun raised his flaming sword.

However, before he could finish the attack, several goblins rushed toward him.

Suldun spun.

His sword swept around him, and flames erupted from the blade.

Several goblins were thrown backward, but the others immediately filled the gap.

Kaelira nodded.

"Veyra’s training is working. Even after their frontline was injured, they didn’t break formation."

Suldun was surrounded.

Yet instead of becoming nervous, he smiled.

"Interesting."

The goblins attacked together, spear thrusts came from multiple directions.

Suldun deflected one, then stepped around another.

A third nearly reached his side, but he blocked it with his sword.

He spun and struck the goblin with the flat of his blade, sending it flying.

Another goblin attacked from behind.

Suldun ducked, the spear passed over him.

He grabbed the shaft and pulled. The goblin stumbled forward.

Suldun drove his knee into its stomach before throwing it aside.

More goblins rushed in.

Suldun’s movements became increasingly aggressive.

His sword cut through the air again and again, the flames surrounding the blade forcing the goblins to retreat whenever they came too close.

However, the goblins did not panic. They continued rotating positions.

One group attacked while another covered them.

When one goblin was knocked backward, another immediately took its place.

Ragnar’s expression slowly changed.

"They really have improved."

Kaelira smiled faintly.

"Your dungeon monsters are becoming soldiers."

"Looks like Veyra’s training wasn’t wasted."

Suddenly, the Shaman Hobgoblin slammed its staff against the ground.

A wave of magical energy spread outward.

The injured Hobgoblins recovered enough to stand again.

The axe-wielding Hobgoblin picked up a replacement weapon from the ground.

Suldun looked at them.

"So you can heal them."

His eyes shifted toward the Shaman.

"Then I’ll deal with you first."

He charged.

The goblins immediately attempted to block his path.

Suldun swung his flaming sword. A wave of fire erupted from the blade.

Boom!

The goblins were blasted backward.

Suldun rushed through the opening. The Hobgoblin Warriors tried to intercept him, the axe swung. But Suldun blocked it.

The club followed, he ducked.

Then he planted his foot firmly against the ground.

Flames exploded around his body.

His sword flashed upward.

The axe-wielding Hobgoblin was forced backward.

Suldun stepped through the gap. The second Hobgoblin tried to grab him. But Suldun twisted around its arm and drove his elbow into its jaw.

The massive monster staggered.

Suldun continued forward, the Shaman Hobgoblin’s eyes widened.

It raised its staff and began chanting another spell. But Suldun was already within striking distance. His sword was surrounded by roaring flames.

"Too slow."
