Yasenia was facing quite a tremendous conundrum. The woman she thought would be resentful and use tactics to escape was hugging her arm, stealthily sniffing her scent, and emitting the scent of a woman in heat.

What was worse was that Yasenia didn’t feel malice from Shang Qinqin. If she were the type of arrogant Young Miss who wanted to possess her and lusted after her, Yasenia would already have kicked her into the sky with a single blow.

As for those who coveted her, Yasenia didn’t differentiate much between men and women. She was slightly more biased toward women because Yasenia preferred them as her mating target. Yasenia just preferred interacting with females because it was harder for them to be completely spellbound.

Now, Shang Qinqin was one of the types that Yasenia was the most weak against. A pure affectionate woman who didn’t impose but clearly liked her. Her appearance leaned toward the elegant miss side, but she also had this cute edge Yasenia liked.

This didn’t mean that Yasenia was attracted to her. She just had a little bit more trouble being ruthless when she was seeking cooperation with her.

’Do I just kick her out and find another person?’

That was an option, but not a clever one. She had a plump fish in her net, yet because she felt a touch affectionate toward it, Yasenia was thinking of releasing it into the wild. If she did that, Yasenia would honestly slap herself for being stupid and weak.

Therefore, the option was calming Shang Qinqin’s emotions and slowly shifting her romantic affection toward friendship. How to do that? The best way was to show the woman first that she was taken. Not in a straightforward way. If she did that, it would create backlash. Instead, she would show her indirectly and let her reach her own conclusions.

"Qinqin, how have you been these last few days?"

Shang Qinqin smiled widely. "I looked around in depth! Sadly, that dragon maid named Alaia blocked me from searching the most important locations. Sigh, I feel so unwelcome. Can’t you tell her to allow me to roam a bit more freely?"

Yasenia’s eyebrow twitched. ’Does this woman want to slip into my bed or something?’

Shang Qinqin: ’I want to slip into her bed at night and make babies! My 37 future children are waiting to be born inside my belly!’

At some point, the number of children in her delusions had escalated to quite ridiculous levels. There was no end in sight!

Smiling faintly, Yasenia spoke casually. "Alaia is a very trustworthy maid of mine. She has even taken care of my children in the past. If she has blocked you from doing something, it is clearly for a reason. Don’t be impatient. You still need to get out of this place, right?"

’Children...?’ Shang Qinqin blinked, then blinked again. Outwardly, she showed nothing, but internally...

’ARGH! WHO HAS STAINED MY WIFE! NOOOOOO!!!!’

With much effort and skill gained from her past merchant ventures, Shang Qinqin asked casually. "I see. Where are they? I never expected there to be a male dragon around here. I heard that female dragons only mate with stronger male dragons."

Yasenia could feel a terrifying bloodthirstiness emitting from her, so she spoke slowly. "Male dragon? There are none. I only have wives."

’Well, Andrea is not entirely female, but I am not lying.’

Her eyes sparkled with endless light. "I see! Did you adopt children and take them as children?"

Yasenia frowned intentionally. "Why are you asking about these things? You are not planning to use them to buy your freedom, right? I am telling you, you need to give me enough advantages and compensation to escape. You are my prisoner, after all."

Shang Qinqin quickly showed a righteous expression. "How could that be? I may be a merchant, but I am not a bully. Since you managed to capture me, you naturally have the right to ask for compensation. I was just curious if they would look like you or not. Your children would be, after all, incredibly pretty."

Yasenia looked at her for a second and slowly stood up. "They are my children. Blood children."

Kaleina was technically an exception, but Yasenia had long considered Kaleina as her own. Kaleina was the eldest, and there was nothing that could prove it otherwise. Not even her biological parents!

’Kaleina is my baby! Hmph.’

Thinking of her, Yasenia internally harrumphed. Then, she sighed. ’I miss her...’

That child had been with her almost as long as her lovers. She got her egg when Andrea and the others had only been with her for a few years. She actually got her in that auction house before meeting with Kali!

Meanwhile, Shang Qinqin became thoughtful. ’Her own...? Then, don’t tell me...’

It was not exactly a secret that some beasts and beast-humans could be born with both genders. It also happened in humans and other species, but much, much more rarely. And even when it happened, the secondary sex was usually not functional.

In beasts and beast-humans, though, it was much more common. Therefore, Qinqin reached the correct conclusion quite quickly.

’My delusions were actually real!? My future 43 babies will be able to be born outside of my head! Ahhhh!’

And so, Qinqin, mother of 43 (in her delusions), decided to become Yasenia’s mate even if she had to stake everything. She, as a mother (not really), couldn’t let down her (still-not-born) babies!

Yasenia felt a strange chill climb up her back and turned around, only to see Shang Qinqin gently and calmly smiling at her. ’Huh...? What was that? Why did I feel a sense of danger?’

A puzzled light flashed across her eyes, but she soon shook it off. ’If it happens again, I might truly be careful of her. Let’s just keep it in mind for now, at least.’

Yasenia was not someone who disregarded her gut feelings! Still, she couldn’t act on them if she was not too sure of why they appeared.

Either way, seeing that Shang Qinqin was not overreacting and still seemed to look at her favorably, Yasenia felt that she was slowly achieving what she wanted. ’Now that she knows I have both children and partners, I need to slowly make her realize the difference.’

She didn’t expect that such things would stop Shang Qinqin from seeing her as a potential mate. Yasenia understood her own charm, and she knew that Shang Qinqin would not be bothered by her having other partners as much.

The worst-case scenario was the woman becoming jealous and developing hatred for them. That didn’t happen, though. Therefore, she could now move and slowly make her give up by gradually showing off her affection and difference in treatment.

Shang Qinqin: ’I wonder if I can meet Lady Yasenia’s wives? I want to get along with them!’

Not knowing Shang Qinqin’s thoughts, Yasenia guided the girl outside of her nest. She had determined that she was not a threat. So, as long as Asterion and Feixue stayed away, there was no problem with the girl going out.

"Wow..." Shang Qinqin looked around the dead valley with a surpsied look. "This place... Hm..."

A faint frown momentarily appeared in her eyes. In the distance, she also spotted Behemoth Senior, who was practicing combat with some of the maids and even Cecile in her Phoenix form.

"What a beautiful Phoenix!"

The gigantic Moon Phoenix spread her silvery wings, white flames moving along the entirety of her figure. The long phoenix tails left trails of flames wherever she flew, creating snowflakes and ice terrain just with her presence.

The Phoenix’s cry harmonized with Heaven and Earth, summoning a giant Moon shadow and causing tremendous ice catastrophes. Meanwhile, Behemoth Senior moved rapidly and punched away most of the attacks, closing in the distance quickly and slowly cornering Cecile.

Shang Qinqin looked at the battle between beasts in a daze. Yasenia stopped by her side and smiled. "That Phoenix is Cecile Dravory, one of my wives."

Honestly, Shang Qinqin felt... intimidated. It wasn’t that she was weak. Nevertheless, compared to that Phoenix, Shang Qinqin felt somewhat lacking.

Although Cecile was strong, Behemoth Senior could even win in a spar against Yasenia. Therefore, the battle only lasted for a few more minutes before Behemoth Senior caught Cecile, threw her against the ground, and descended from the sky like a meteor, punching right beside the Phoenix’s head.

BOOM!

Dust rose to the sky, and when it settled, it showed that, if the impact had been Cecile’s head, it would’ve probably burst from the monstrous strength behind his blow.

The Phoenix breathed roughly, tucking her wings and standing up. Behemoth Senior helped her up. "That was great, child. Your battle style truly makes this old man annoyed to no end. If we were at the same level, I would probably flee instead of fighting you."

Cecile nodded with her elegant beak, and her icy blue eyes moved and locked onto Yasenia. Those eyes that seemed to be covered in eternal ice melted as she cried happily and flew over.

Shang Qinqin tensed up a little when she saw the gigantic phoenix shrinking. ’Will she be beautiful?’

After shrinking, Cecile appeared, wearing a long, white dress. Shang Qinqin forgot to breathe.

If Yasenia was the embodiment of carnal seduction and beauty, the woman that appeared before her embodied the word "Beauty."

A peerlessly beautiful face, slender, tall body, and platinum blonde hair. Her face was adorned with a pair of cold, phoenix eyes and pale, pink lips. Her white eyelashes and eyebrows looked like mountain snow, accentuating the piercing effect of her gorgeous, cold blue eyes.

And yet, the beauty as cold as the Moon descended from the sky with her phoenix wings and nestled into Yasenia’s arms, all her coldness melting away and leaving a loving partner.

"Yasenia."

Just a single word, yet Shang Qinqin’s thoughts couldn’t help but move. ’Even her voice is pleasantly cold and clear.’

Hearing her gave Shang Qinqin the impression that her own voice was a little rough, when that was entirely not the case. As mentioned before, Shang Qinqin’s beauty was high enough to be praised by Yasenia. She was, by no means, someone ugly. In truth, she couldn’t be further away from that word.

Yasenia hugged her beautiful phoenix and asked gently. "How was it? Did you gain anything from the spar with Behemoth Senior?"

Cecile nodded, speaking clearly. "I rely far too much on my spatial movement to dodge. I need to either perfect it or perfect my movement technique to dodge and create distance without needing to teleport."

Cecile wanted to ramble, but looking sideways, she noticed Shang Qinqin standing there awkwardly. Being Yasenia’s interlocked soul, Cecile could tell that Yasenia had noticed the strangeness in the woman. Therefore, she just nodded at her. "Hello."

"Ah, um. Yes, hello. You are very beautiful, Lady Cecile. I admire you."

Shang Qinqin nodded a bit awkwardly, but soon, she recovered. ’F-For the sake of my future 33 children, I will give my all!’

The fact that the number of children in her delusion had gone down showed just how much impact Cecile’s presence had on her. Still, Shang Qinqin would not give up easily!
