Having Wives And Raising Children Levels Me Up

Chapter 74. Scheming Human And Fairy.

Chapter 74: 74. Scheming Human And Fairy.

Austin continued doing this until the following morning.

Right now, Austin had gone through six crystals in total, and his mana capacity had crept up by a respectable margin.

It didn’t increase exponentially, but aside from the first two mana crystals that awarded him with a +5 mana points increase, the remaining four crystals rewarded him with a total of +8 mana points.

Yes, it wasn’t much, but it was still genuinely impressive to have something no one else had.

Anyways, pushing this thought aside for now, Austin slowly drifted his attention to his beautiful wife, who was already stirring awake.

Nora blinked blearily as she turned to find her husband already wide awake beside her with a huge grin on his face.

"Hubby? You’re up already?" She asked in a sleepy tone.

Austin leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. "Good morning to you too, beautiful."

"Mm~ someone’s a bit excited this morning. Was my massage last night really that good?"

"The best, my love. It was the best."

Hearing this, Nora’s cheeks turned crimson and she couldn’t help but giggle cutely. "Hehehe~ I’m glad hubby liked it."

"Liked it? Babe, I loved it!!" Austin yelled out loud for the entire mansion to hear.

"Shh~ not so loud, or you’ll wake the baby."

"Oh, oops. Sorry about that."

Nora chuckled softly once again before planting a kiss on his cheek.

Her hubby was just so cute!!!!

And he somehow had an effect of making her fall in love with him all over again, every single day.

He was simply the best!!!

"Mmm~ I’m still feeling a bit sleepy though." Nora yawned cutely as she lay back down on the bed.

"Then rest, my dear."

"You heading out?" Nora asked as she watched him undressing, which clearly meant that he was going to have a bath, and that could only mean he had plans to leave the room or the mansion altogether.

"I’m still within the mansion, my love. I just want to head over to the Countess’s room. I promised to give her a massage too, so I intend on doing it today."

Nora nodded in understanding because, whilst they were returning from their picnic last night, Nora had told Rowena, her new sister and friend in the mansion, about Austin’s amazing massages.

She could see how curious Rowena was about the massage, and Rowena had mentioned that Austin had already agreed to give her one someday, but now it turned out that day was today.

"I’ll see you soon, dear." Austin kissed Nora’s forehead, and the stunning wolfkin grinned before falling back asleep.

Seeing this, Austin took that as his cue to slip quietly out of bed, to bathe, and to then get dressed.

Then he immediately made his way out of the room, heading straight to Rowena’s bedroom.

Meanwhile, in a separate wing of the mansion, Rowena was just beginning to wake up.

Her hair, which was usually kept neat and smooth, had somehow ended up in complete disarray from sleep.

Now there were a lot of hair strands sticking up at odd angles as she sat up groggily to rub the sleep from her eyes.

"Mmm.." Rowena groaned softly as she glanced around her room out of habit, expecting to see her cute little fairy companion hovering somewhere nearby.

But to her surprise, the little fairy didn’t hover over to greet her good morning.

"Huh? Sylvie?" Rowena called out softly, but no response came, and this made the beautiful Countess frown as she scanned the room a second time.

But still, there was no sign of the little fairy anywhere.

Sylvie wasn’t on the windowsill where she would usually perch, and she wasn’t curled up in the folds of the curtains either.

She wasn’t even tucked away in the little woven basket Rowena had set up for her near the bed.

Realising all of this, Rowena couldn’t help but frown even more.

Of course, it wasn’t entirely unusual for Sylvie to wander off on her own from time to time, but something about her absence this particular morning left Rowena feeling a little uneasy.

Still, there wasn’t much to be done about it before she’d properly started her day, so Rowena pushed the thought aside for the time being and made her way through her usual morning routine.

She bathed and dressed in an elegant gown rather than her usual formal attire.

Since today was meant to be a day off, a day where she would just spend time with Austin, Rowena thought it would be preferable to wear something simple, hence the elegant gown she was wearing right now.

And so, with that out of the way, Rowena stepped out of her room in search of her missing fairy friend.

She checked the library first, then the sitting room, then the kitchens, but again, Rowena couldn’t find Sylvie anywhere.

Now, the beautiful Countess was growing increasingly uneasy with each empty room she passed through.

This continued until she made her way out toward the mansion’s garden, and that was when she finally heard voices drifting toward her from somewhere among the hedges.

She listened carefully, and she could finally hear what was being said clearly.

"So, Sylvie, how many days do you think it’ll take before they notice?" Austin asked the cute little fairy sitting on his shoulder, and Rowena couldn’t make out what he was talking about.

So she walked closer so that the two of them would notice her presence.

"Sylvie?" Rowena called out as she rounded the corner, and sure enough, there was Austin crouched near a patch of freshly turned soil, with the little fairy sitting excitedly on his shoulder.

"Oh, good morning, Rowena!" Austin greeted her cheerfully before swiftly straightening up and brushing the dirt from his hands.

Of course, Rowena noticed all of this, but she greeted him in return.

"Good morning, Austin. What exactly were the two of you talking about?" Rowena asked softly and her eyes curiously drifted to the patch of soil behind him.

"Oh, nothing important." Austin waved the question off with a smile, and Sylvie smiled in a similar way as well.
