Chapter 948: Chapter 386: The Expelled Gellert Grindelwald and the Furious Vivi

"I know!" Lavender said, head lowered.

Mr. Brown jabbed a finger at Lavender, furious. "You know, do you? Then why are you running off again, huh?"

Seamus, standing to the side, had no idea what to say, so he could only chime in whenever there was a gap.

"We didn’t do anything, Mr. Brown..."

"Shut up!" Mr. Brown turned and glared.

"Mr. Brown..." Seamus still tried to struggle.

"Don’t talk!" Mr. Brown shot to his feet in a rage. "You’ve been to school, haven’t you? How could you ask Lavender out at a time like this? And to an ice cream shop... How could you do something like that?"

Wronged and anxious, Seamus started protesting loudly. "What did I do? I didn’t do anything..."

"Didn’t do anything, but you’re sitting here eating?" Mr. Brown shot back.

"Dad, I wanted to come on my own!" Lavender tried to save Seamus from the fire.

"I don’t care who wanted to come!" Mr. Brown cut her off. "Believe it or not, I’ll break your legs!"

He jabbed a finger at Lavender, almost shaking with anger. "Look at you—do you even have a heart? Your grandmother’s that sick and you’ve still got the mood to sit here eating... this ice cream? Your family is going mad looking for you, and you haven’t heard how rampant You-Know-Who’s been lately?"

As he spoke, Mr. Brown grabbed a piece of dessert and stuffed it into his mouth.

Seamus’s eyes lit up; he hurried forward to persuade him. "Mr. Brown, just... sit down and eat."

"Eat what?" Mr. Brown dug the dessert out of his mouth and threw it on the floor, giving Seamus a shove. "Get out of my way—"

In the end, Mr. Brown still dragged Lavender away, leaving Seamus standing there, head drooping.

"Why didn’t you guys help me out?" he said, a bit annoyed.

"How were we supposed to help you?" Ron snapped. "Easy for you to say—those two are father and daughter. And from what I heard, Lavender’s grandmother is sick. Given that, him taking Lavender home is perfectly reasonable. We’re just classmates; we can’t butt in that much."

"So what do we do?" Seamus said, head down. "We’re just going to stand here and watch Lavender get dragged back by Mr. Brown?"

Ron was almost laughing from sheer exasperation.

"Come on, he’s her father. Her dad grabs his daughter and takes her home—what, you’re going to stand in the way?"

"True." Seamus thought it over, then admitted Ron had a point.

"Try to let it go, Seamus," Neville said, comforting him. "Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. I think you’re fine—it’s just that you picked a pretty bad time."

Seamus didn’t speak; he just kept drinking water.

The three brothers had no better idea. Since things had already happened, they might as well eat the ice cream first.

It had to be said, the Florean family’s ice cream was really delicious, especially the crunchy nut bits mixed into it—at least Harry loved it.

"What are we going to do next?" Ron whispered to Harry. He hadn’t forgotten dejected Seamus.

"We’ve got to find something to do—at least get Seamus’s mind off it," Harry whispered back. "You know what kind of fun Seamus likes best? We could take him somewhere to play."

"Does blowing things up count?" Ron asked.

Blowing things up?

Harry instantly pictured Seamus waving his Magic Wand around, causing explosions everywhere.

He shivered and forced the image out of his head.

Too bloody cheerful, that was.

"Maybe let’s try a different approach," Neville said quietly. "We go to the Brown family’s place and sneak Lavender out, yeah?"

Ron and Harry both turned to look at Neville. They honestly hadn’t expected Neville to be that clever, coming up with such a rotten plan.

Right at that moment, Harry’s Crystal Ball suddenly started ringing.

He took it out and saw that it was Little Sirius calling.

Once he connected, Little Sirius’s upper-body projection appeared above the Crystal Ball.

"Harry," Little Sirius said, sounding a bit rushed, "something’s happened. We’ve detected traces of Voldemort. He’s appeared in the United States, and it looks like there’s a red Fire Dragon with him. Right now the American Magic Congress is requesting reinforcements, and Villatia has already sent Mr. Grindelwald—"

Listen to that phrasing—actually ’sent Mr. Grindelwald’ over...

Harry paused for a second before remembering who Mr. Grindelwald was—oh, right, Gellert.

Then he suddenly sensed something off.

"A red Fire Dragon?" he asked.

"Yes," Little Sirius said quickly. "The photos from the American Magic Congress show a Fire Dragon that’s completely red, with a big chunk of crimson crystal on its head. Villatia told me that Fire Dragon is called Lanlock, and it seems to be an enemy you’ve fought before?"

Lanlock?

Harry felt his fingers start itching.

That name—he hadn’t heard it in a long time.

Back then, it was thanks to Lanlock that he’d been dragged back to 1991 for no reason, making three girls suffer so much for him...

He really needed a proper chat with him!

Then he asked again, "Wait, Vivi sent Gellert to the United States? Didn’t the United States put Gellert on their persona non grata list? Can he even get in?"

"This is the American Magic Congress appealing to the International Wizarding Union for help. They can’t drive off Lanlock and Voldemort, and they’ve got no way to lock down their position," Little Sirius said with a grin. "You know Mr. Grindelwald has a gift for prophecy. That talent gave Dumbledore headaches back in the day. A prophetic knack like that is very useful for pinpointing where Voldemort and Lanlock are."

"Got it," Harry said, nodding. "What do you need me to do?"
