Harry Returning from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 928 - 376: Muggle Prime Minister
Chapter 928: Chapter 376: Muggle Prime Minister
The dinner was sumptuous enough, and it was evident that Kreacher had put a lot of thought into the evening’s feast.
Kreacher no longer resisted Little Sirius as much as he used to; partly because of Walburga’s swift change in attitude, and partly because Little Sirius had indeed become the pride of the Black Clan.
More importantly, Little Sirius was a rather decent master, without the usual scolding or beating from the old masters, allowing Kreacher to feel as if he were with young Regulus again.
After Little Sirius announced the start of the banquet, everyone remained in their seats, not speaking, just concentrating on their food.
Harry noticed from the corner of his eye that Snape was expressionlessly tearing at the steak with a knife and fork.
"So, Little Sirius," Mr. Weasley couldn’t help but ask after taking a few bites, "is there anything you want to announce today?"
"Why would you say that?" Little Sirius asked with a smile.
"Look, you’ve gathered us all together." Mr. Weasley waved a hand in front of his forehead, "Isn’t it to announce something?"
"No," Little Sirius replied bluntly, "I just thought we haven’t had the chance to get together for a while, and since I became Minister of Magic, I haven’t hosted a party for friends, so I figured today would be the first one."
As soon as he finished speaking, Professor Snape paused.
He slowly lifted his head, looked at Little Sirius, and asked word by word, "You can’t tell me you called us here just to have a meal?"
"Oh yes, Severus," Little Sirius picked up his glass and took a sip, nodding at Snape.
Snape took a deep breath.
He ultimately chose silence, lowering his head to continue battling the food in front of him.
No need to argue with this black dog, better to eat more and fill one’s stomach.
"By the way," Little Sirius spoke again, "are you planning to continue as the Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts next year, Lemy? I’m thinking of having you leave Hogwarts to work at the Ministry of Magic. What do you think?"
"As long as I can help you, I have no objections," Lupin said with a gentle smile.
Little Sirius was just about to speak when Snape interjected in a sinister tone.
"Look at you two, like an old married couple... I do hope you acknowledge your orientations to avoid delaying your so-called ’girlfriends’."
The two of them ignored Snape; Lupin didn’t want to pay attention to him, while Little Sirius held back from retaliating against Snape due to his status.
"But what about Hogwarts?" Ron suddenly asked, "If Professor Lupin chooses not to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, what will happen to the course at Hogwarts? Who will take on the role?"
"Isn’t there someone in this room who’s applied for the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor multiple times, only to be rejected repeatedly?" Little Sirius said with a smile, his gaze turning to Professor Snape.
Hearing Little Sirius’s words, everyone turned to look at Snape.
Snape seemed uncomfortable with being the center of attention and glanced around without saying anything.
"What about the Magic Potion class?" Draco suddenly asked, "Besides Professor Snape, who else can take on the heavy responsibility of Hogwarts’ Magic Potion class? As far as I know, there seems to be no better Master of Magic Potions than Snape, right?"
That was a well-said statement.
Harry glanced at Draco, thinking that this lad was definitely promising material.
See how well he compliments people...
"Perhaps Dumbledore will bring out the retired Professor Slughorn," Harry said slowly, "the one who taught at Hogwarts before."
As soon as Harry said this, the elders around him instantly shifted their gaze to him.
"How do you know about Professor Slughorn?" Little Sirius asked interestedly.
The next sentence made everyone present instinctively curl their toes.
"I’ve seen Voldemort’s memories," Harry said, "In Voldemort’s memories—at that time, he was still Tom Riddle—he consulted Professor Slughorn about the knowledge of Soul Artifacts."
"Professor Slughorn knows about these things?" Lupin asked curiously.
"What else can I say?" Harry shrugged, "He’s the head of Slytherin, it’s only normal that he knows some Dark Magic, right?"
As a result, two pairs of delicate hands pinched his waist from left and right.
"Do you have some bias against Slytherin?" Vivi whispered in his ear.
"No," Harry immediately surrendered, not persisting even for a minute.
But these two girls had both delved deeply into Dark Magic.
"I remember, didn’t Kathy want to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts?" Vivi suddenly asked, "Aren’t you planning to apply for the position at Hogwarts?"
Upon hearing this, although Professor Snape continued cutting his steak, his ears perked up.
He was well aware that the only competitive candidate was this Miss Malfoy.
The gratifying part was that Cassandra had not declared her intention to teach at Hogwarts.
"There are other matters waiting for me to attend to," Cassandra said indifferently.
While speaking, she secretly stepped on Harry’s foot.
At this moment, Little Sirius’s crystal ball suddenly rang.
He gave everyone an apologetic look, then walked aside to answer the call on the crystal ball.
