Chapter 190 - 190. Soggy Banana
But before leaving, he wanted to talk to Bobby. "I had an idea. I love the name of our company, FutureTek. I was thinking maybe we can start an automobile company in the long run. After all, the cars my dad will make will need to be manufactured."
"But we don't have the means of production. I am barely completing the computer orders." Bobby said.
"Don't worry, I will directly buy some automobile company that's going bankrupt and use their assembly line. It's a long term idea, Bobby. Think about it and tell me if you have any ideas. I will leave now."
Saying that Magnus went back to the park, put on a muggle repellant charm and called Abe.
...
Magnus arrived at the Hospital Construction site. The people were packing up right now. He inspected all the buildings on the campus first. Their structure seemed right. All it needed now was furnishings and some finner work.
He then arrived at the temporary worker's living area. But when he arrived there, he saw all the workers watching the television.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
All of them turned their heads. Edgar suddenly jumped and dragged Magnus to the front seat.
"Sir, look at this. Our team worked hard to create this fake documentary about the construction Marvel of this hospital. We were just seeing if it needed any improvement." Edgar eagerly said. He seemed more proud of this than the building he just constructed.
Magnus was also interested in this. He always wondered what would be the prospect of the media entertainment industry if cameras and magic were utilised together.
The video soon started. It was recorded with a colour camera and the quality seemed top-notch. The first scene started with a full aerial view of the whole campus.
Then the scenes changed and a presenter talked, he was probably some family members of a wizard who knew about construction.
They introduced the whole scale of the project. Then he started telling him how it all started.
The fake scenes were made where the fake planning was done by actors, fake scenes of trucks, workers who were wizards were made to act. They all in fact enjoyed doing this.
It really seemed like a high-quality documentary. Magnus liked it, but he felt something was missing in it.
At the end of the video, with intense music, a combination of footage for all the buildings on the campus was shown.
"It's really good, but I feel like something is missing," Magnus said.
"Really? I thought it was pretty nice. What's not to your liking?" Edgar asked.
Magnus thought hard. "It's not something wrong. It's just... AH! I know, it's the narrator's voice. All documentaries have that thick narrator's voice that talks when scenes are shown."
"Hmm, you are right. Now that you've said it, some parts felt boring and too silent. I will quickly find a person with a good voice and get him to narrate for us. We will send the tape to the BBC after that. Hopefully, they will show it on their network as soon as possible. It will spread the name of our company." Edgar dreamily said.
"Have you decided what you are going to build next?" Magnus asked him.
"Yes, it's a contract to build a tube tunnel as a part of an extension to the current network. We were able to bag the project this time. Our job will be to build the tunnel of 10 kilometres, the engineers from some other company will do the rail laying and electrical work.
"Haha, building tunnels is the easiest work we wizards could ask for. And guess what, the cost of the whole project is £17,000,000(£182,162,559.1 today). To us, the cost of building it will only be 7 million pounds. The rest of the 10 million will all go towards our profits."
Magnus smiled. This was exactly why he opened this company. He knew how easy construction was with the help of Wizards. Now, they will be making so much money.
"Don't forget, we need to incentivise our workers. Give each wizard a 25,000-pound bonus from that project. And to the normal muggle workers, give each 10,000 pounds. This will be their big reward for working for me." Magnus decided.
He could always make more money, what he needed right now was loyalty. And his royal status as well as blood relation to Merlin made it so that people would feel proud working for him, and no matter what, most would not leave by betraying him.
Edgar noted everything and left to start working. Although he was the CEO, he didn't shy away from working in the field.
...
Magnus returned to his home after that. He needed to prepare to leave for a castle near Diagonal Alley. That's where he will be training for the foreseeable future.
"Ragnar, pack your bags," Magnus called him after entering the lab.
Ragnar was sitting on a couch there. He looked at Magnus with strange eyes. He seemed scared for some reason.
Magnus sighed tiredly, "What did you do now?"
Slowly, Ragnar got up. But Magnus noticed something else was up too.
But he scaredly took a few steps back, "What happened to your pants, Rag? Why is it lifted from there?"
Ragnar ran to Magnus while crying, "MAG, HELP MEEE..."
"FFFUUU... STAY AWAY!" Magnus ran, and Ragnar chased him behind. But Magnus was never going to go near Ragnar, who had a straight 90-degree boner right now.
"What is wrong with you? Why is your manhood up?" Magnus asked.
Ragnar cried, "It's... It's been like this for an hour. IT HURTS... I drank a potion before, and it's been like this since then."
Magnus facepalmed himself, but still refused to go near him.
"Why did you make such a thing?" He asked.
"I didn't want to. I was trying to make a strength potion, but I was unsuccessful, the potion only made my one part strong. Help me, Mag. How do I put it down?" Ragnar pleadingly asked.
"How would I know? You are the potioneer, not me. And stop chasing me." Magnus angrily shouted back.
Ragnar finally stopped. And so did Magnus. "Rag, you gotta be the craziest, most talented and yet the dumbest person I know. I don't know how you made that, but that invention can help so many old wizards. Who are strong and rich."
"STOP THINKING ABOUT MONEY! HELP!" Ragnar fell on the floor, in pain, clutching his manhood.
"Did you try wanking?" Magnus suggested.
Ragnar took away his hands, leaving his boner-lifted pants clear for a view: "I...I couldn't... h-help me..."
Magnus jumped back, "Fine, if this is the only way, then I shall chop your penis with my sword."
He took out his Despair sword. It was a fitting sword name for the look on Ragnar's face.
"NOOOO! Just get me my magazines, I can do it myself. That sword will only make things worse. I still want to enjoy my youth." Ragnar pleaded.
In the end, Ragnar took his secret dirty magazines stash and freshened up. He combed his hair and looked as if he was some wise monk. He had experienced today what no man would want to.
"So, how was the pain?" Magnus asked.
Ragnar looked up at the ceiling but his eyes were closed, "Sometimes, to achieve great things, you need to sacrifice yourself."
Magnus lightly punched his stomach, "Stop giving me that stupid talk. I am starting to suspect that you made exactly what you were trying to. Do you suffer from soggy sausage syndrome? Tell me honestly"
"NO! I don't suffer from soggy sausage syndrome, only old folks feel that. I am sure many in the world will appreciate my invention. Earlier, people used to try some herbs, but as they became rare, the price of the herbs increased. But now this cheap alternative will make them feel like a man again.
"Ah, I think I should get an Order of Merlin because I have also indirectly helped increase the number of magical children now." Ragnar planned.
Magnus patted his back, "Yes, let's go and try to sell it. But first, we need the first-hand experiment results."
"Aren't we going to meet Moody? Let's try him." Ragnar suggested.
Magnus laughed, thinking about the prank, "Maybe we should test him first."
But, poor Magnus didn't know that what he was planning was akin to putting your hands into a snake's nest.
[A/N: Yes, Ragnar made magical Viagra.]
