Harem Training System: Every Girl I Train Makes Me Stronger!
Chapter 361. A Predator Had Been Sleeping, and She Was Finally Awake
By the time they had ground through another dozen failed attempts at basic structured combinations, the atmosphere in the training yard had shifted from one of instruction to one of shared, exhausted amusement.
William’s ribs genuinely ached not from exertion, but from the constant strain of suppressing laughter. Kaela was a disaster, a walking catastrophe of misdirected momentum and broken wooden dummies, yet she seemed to be having more fun than she had in weeks.
Every spectacular failure was met not with tears or defeat, but with theatrical excuses, dramatic groans, and a renewed, almost frightening determination.
’She’s like a wounded animal trying to learn how to dance,’ William thought, watching her wipe sweat from her brow. ’Raw, bleeding potential wrapped in complete chaos.’
But then, somewhere in the middle of another attempted sequence, the air between them seemed to thicken. The playful energy evaporated, replaced by something heavier, something charged with static.
Kaela had been fighting her own body for an hour. The constant corrections, elbows in, and pivoting tighter were starting to grate on her nerves like sandpaper on raw flesh.
Her movements were becoming jerky, her breathing ragged, not from exhaustion, but from a mounting, volcanic frustration. Her jaw was set so tight it looked painful, the muscles standing out starkly against her tan skin.
William saw the shift. He saw her eyes narrow, the pupils dilating as her focus sharpened into something dangerous.
"Kaela, slow down... You’re getting tense."
"Tension is the enemy of—"
He didn’t finish.
On her next strike, Kaela didn’t just miss the mark of instruction; she abandoned it entirely. She stopped trying to follow the map.
She stopped trying to build the dam. In one explosive motion, she simply let go.
She threw the punch with pure, unrestrained, animalistic instinct. There was no conscious thought behind it, no consideration for footwork or shoulder rotation.
There was only the desperate, violent need to connect.
CRACK.
It wasn’t the sound of wood breaking this time. It was the sound of pure kinetic energy meeting resistance.
Her fist slammed into the padded target William held, but the force didn’t stop at the padding. The impact was so seismic that it staggered William backward a full step, his boots skidding through the dirt.
A shockwave traveled up his arm, rattling his teeth and sending a searing bolt of pain through his shoulder. His entire forearm went momentarily numb, tingling with a white-hot electricity that made his fingers twitch uselessly.
The yard fell into a deafening, startled silence. Both of them froze, chest heaving, staring at each other through the settling dust.
The only sound was the distant caw of a crow and the ragged, uneven breathing of two people who had just touched something dangerous.
William slowly flexed his fingers, feeling the blood rush back into the numb limb. His heart was hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird.
"Did you feel that?" he asked, his voice rougher than intended.
Kaela didn’t answer immediately. She was staring down at her own fist, her knuckles white, her eyes wide with a mixture of terror and disbelief.
"I felt something," she finally whispered, her voice trembling. "That felt... completely different."
"I wasn’t even thinking, Instructor Wade."
"I wasn’t thinking about the pivot or the elbows... I just... I don’t know."
"I just let the monster out."
William felt a cold shiver run down his spine that had nothing to do with fear and everything to do with awe.
"That’s exactly what I was talking about," he said, and he could hear the genuine, hungry excitement building in his own voice. "That’s your actual power, Kaela."
"Not the structure I’ve been trying to force on you."
"Not the careful positioning or the textbook form."
"That thing you just did? That was you."
"The moment you stop overthinking and simply trust your own instinct, you become something else entirely."
He could see it in her, the way her stance had unconsciously shifted, the way her muscles seemed coiled like springs, ready to snap again. The student was gone; something more primal had taken her place.
William straightened his shoulders, his grip tightening on the padded target. His own adrenaline was spiking now, his pupils narrowing as he braced himself for what was coming.
"Do it again," he commanded, his voice dropping into a low, serious register. "Same thing."
"Don’t think about form and don’t think about the rules."
"Don’t think about me as well! Just hit it!"
Kaela reset, but the girl who had been stumbling over her own feet an hour ago was gone. In her place stood something coiled, something hungry.
She drew in a slow, deliberate breath, not the shallow panting of exertion, but the deep, predatory inhale of a hunter. When she threw the next punch, it wasn’t a rehearsed motion; it was an explosion.
It was faster than anything she had managed during the entire structured portion of their session, a direct line of violence that cut through the air with a terrifying hiss.
The impact landed with the same startling, bone-rattling force. William’s arm absorbed the shock, his muscles locking involuntarily to prevent the impact from traveling straight through his shoulder socket.
His elbow joint creaked audibly under the strain.
"That’s it," William said, his voice thick with a genuine, almost reverent delight. "That’s genuinely it."
"Kaela, we’ve been overcomplicating this entire goddamn time."
They continued, the training yard transforming from a classroom into an arena. William watched with growing fascination as the transformation took hold.
With every unstructured exchange, Kaela’s raw power revealed itself more clearly, peeling away like layers of dead skin. The awkward, uncoordinated stiffness that had defined her earlier attempts the way she had fought against her own limbs evaporated entirely.
What remained was something considerably more natural, something infinitely more dangerous.
’She isn’t fighting the air anymore,’ William thought, his own pulse quickening as he braced for the next blow. ’She’s commanding it.’
Her footwork, freed from the suffocating burden of consciously tracking formal positioning requirements, settled into something instinctively balanced. Her weight shifted fluidly between strikes, a seamless transition of momentum that required no deliberate calculation.
Her hips rotated into each punch with a natural, coiled power—a whip crack of force that no amount of careful academy drilling could ever hope to replicate.
William found himself backing up repeatedly, his boots grinding into the dirt as he genuinely struggled to absorb the sheer, concussive force she generated with each successive strike. Each hit felt like being struck by a sledgehammer wrapped in leather.
"How does that feel?" he asked after she landed a particularly devastating three-hit combination: left, right, and hook that left his forearm throbbing with a dull, pulsing heat.
"Incredible," Kaela said.
She was breathless, sweat streaming down her face, but she was grinning wider than he had ever seen. "Genuinely incredible, Instructor Wade."
"It’s like... like my whole body finally agrees on what it’s supposed to be doing."
"Before, it felt like half of me was following your instructions and the other half was screaming in protest."
"But now? Now there’s no argument."
"That’s exactly what it should feel like," William said, wiping sweat from his own brow. "That’s what it looks like when someone finally finds the weapon that was always theirs to begin with."
Kaela didn’t respond with words. Instead, she threw another punch, a straight right that landed with such obscene force that William had to plant his feet wide and brace his entire core just to avoid being knocked backward entirely.
The impact reverberated through his bones, a deep, grinding sensation that made his vision swim for a split second. For a moment, they both simply stood there, locked in each other’s gaze, sharing a moment of profound astonishment.
They both knew: beneath years of forced, unnatural technique and stifling etiquette, a predator had been sleeping. And she was finally awake.
They pushed harder, the rhythm of their exchange becoming faster, more violent. The sounds of impact—thud, crack, slapslap—echoed off the training walls.
Kaela was in a trance of motion, her eyes bright with the fire of discovery.
It was during one particularly enthusiastic exchange, several strikes into a rapid, vicious combination where her movements became almost blurred, that William noticed something wrong.
As she rotated her torso to deliver a powerful uppercut, he saw a subtle, unnatural hitch in her shoulder, followed by a grimace of pain that she tried to mask with her grin.
The skin around her knuckles was split, blood beginning to bead and drip down her wrist, but that wasn’t what caught his attention. It was the way her left elbow suddenly buckled inward when she reset.
"Stop! Hold on, stop!" William commanded, his voice sharp and commanding, cutting through her adrenaline-fueled trance.
He moved forward, catching her wrist gently but firmly before she could launch another instinctive strike.
Kaela blinked, her chest heaving as she fought to bring her breathing under control. The fire in her eyes flickered as she tried to process the sudden interruption.
"What’s wrong?" she asked, her voice strained. "I was just getting—"
