Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!

Chapter 329 - 329: Cleopatra's Side.

Kyle was done with his meeting with Viktor, and there was something familiar about him.

It felt like he had met him before, and thanks to his total recall, he could search through his memory to find out where he knew this man from.

It hit him — this man bore resemblance to the one he saw Nakamura with that night.

“It can’t be!” Kyle began to wonder if there truly was a mole and if he had just spoken to him.

Kyle knew he couldn’t trust anyone, and if Nakamura had a mole within the Mafia, then it would mean all the information he had told him, Nakamura already knew.

“That sneaky bastard…” Kyle muttered under his breath, though he was more impressed than angry.

Kyle had no idea what Nakamura was planning, but something deep within him suspected that going to get their girl might be the worst decision he had ever made.

Kyle had no idea what to do next because he was trapped in the middle of all this.

There was no escape, but this was to be expected — for one to truly become powerful, they must understand the darker aspect of the world.

He looked at the address Nakamura gave him and quickly searched it online, despite having no intentions of kidnapping a girl.

Kyle knew there was a chance he could find some answers if he traveled to England.

But there were far too many loose ends here, and it was something he couldn’t risk being tied back to him.

Kyle thought he had managed to get ahead of Nakamura, but that wasn’t the case — it was the opposite.

Nakamura had been in this world far too long to be outsmarted by someone half his age, regardless of how smart Kyle was.

Kyle flipped through his contacts, looking for someone to call who could possibly aid him.

But just then, his phone rang — it was an unknown number, and Kyle instantly looked around, thinking he was being watched.

The timing was impeccable, but they would also need to read his mind to know he was looking for someone to call.

“Hello?” Kyle picked up, and the other voice at the end of the phone was Cleopatra.

[[I was hit…]] Cleopatra informed him in the calmest tone. Kyle didn’t believe her because of the way this message was delivered.

“What do you mean you were hit? That is impossible, I haven’t heard anything about it,” Kyle muttered, careful not to speak too loud as he didn’t know who could be around him.

[[It happened on the same day we met. I thought you set me up, but someone as stupid as you couldn’t.]] Cleopatra revealed. Why did she hold back for so long?

“You didn’t tell me about that! All you said was they knew!” Kyle was anxious now because this was too close to home.

What if they made the connection to Ella? There was no way she wouldn’t become a target as well.

Kyle couldn’t have that and knew he had to take drastic actions to ensure this wouldn’t be the case.

[[That isn’t why I am calling you. I have one request.]] Cleopatra informed him, and Kyle wondered what this request could be, seeing as they weren’t friends to begin with, so she had no reason to be making any request whatsoever.

“What is it?” Kyle decided to indulge her, but silence fell on the other end, like she was ashamed of the words about to escape her lips.

[[Look after that little brat for me, would you…]] Cleopatra requested, and an awkward silence followed because it was no secret they didn’t get along after all.

Ella hated her, and Cleopatra felt the same way because she basically tried to ruin their relationship while they were visiting.

“I will always look after Ella regardless of what you ask. I do it not for you but for Jane,” Kyle informed her sternly.

This was his family now, and Cleopatra had no say in how he treated them — but he could almost hear the relief in her breathing.

And without saying another word, the call came to an end.

“She hung up? That bitch!” Kyle cussed under his breath, but this was further proof that family was complicated.

Because from his point of view, it looked like Cleopatra was protecting Ella.

Cleopatra ended the phone call, relaxing in her hot tub, allowing the steam to wash over her.

There was a reason Cleopatra tried her best to erase her connection with her sister — it was to keep her enemies away from her.

She had a glass of wine in hand and wondered how all of this would play out.

Cleopatra knew what her family did at a young age but had to keep Ella away from this reality.

The best way to accomplish this was to make her hate her, and that hate kept her away from the family.

Cleopatra took on the weight and burden on her shoulders as their parents required a perfect balance of both worlds.

She could have easily destroyed Ella if she truly wished for her to disappear from her world, but cutting off ties was for the best.

There were two sides to every story, and Cleopatra never got the chance to tell hers.

She took a sip from the glass in hand and realized she had gotten too comfortable.

The criminal world had rules, but it was clear those rules were being breached.

No one was safe, and all of this mess began with Marcello’s daughter’s death.

She knew about this because, after all, Satoshi needed help from someone equally as powerful in this country to pull off such a feat — and that was none other than their family.

This was why Nakamura stopped searching to find out who she was and why he was so frightened when Kyle spoke about her.

There was no way she could accomplish such a reputation without having a foundation to build on.
