Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!

Chapter 319 - 319: Nakamura's Ultimatum!

Kyle was desperate, and Nakamura’s help was enlisted. He had no idea how things would turn out, but now it was all about survival.

He could no longer afford to take risks. This had to end as soon as possible, because Kyle knew Cleopatra wouldn’t joke around with something like this.

If the Mafia found out, it would only be a matter of time before the man named Marcello made his move.

Alfredo might have been his link to Marcello’s ears, but Kyle couldn’t figure out why Nakamura was so willing to help him. If he had really stepped on the Mafia’s toes, it would drag him straight into the center of it all, and Kyle couldn’t see it ending well—especially since he had no idea how Nakamura even intended to help him.

After excusing himself, Nakamura left. Kyle remained in his office like a lost puppy, unable to leave even if he wanted to.

What Kyle didn’t know was that Cleopatra had already been attacked, and Nakamura deliberately kept this from him. He was clearly leveraging information for a more favorable outcome.

When Nakamura finally returned, he looked like he had just come off a phone call tied to the situation. Kyle had already confessed that the Mafia might be coming after him—and the people he cared about—because he’d interacted with someone he shouldn’t have. Nakamura knew exactly who Kyle was referring to, but he pretended otherwise. It wasn’t in his interest to reveal more than necessary.

“Is everything okay?” Kyle asked cautiously.

Nakamura nodded with a broad smile. “Everything is alright.”

Kyle’s shoulders tensed. This was the first time Nakamura had seen him so rattled, but who could blame him? The Mafia was nothing to underestimate. Perhaps that was why Nakamura seemed almost eager to offer him a hand through the storm.

“The goal is to kill Marcello, isn’t it?” Nakamura asked casually, as if the matter were nothing special.

“Yes, that’s correct but… I’m no killer,” Kyle admitted out loud. He needed to say it—to convince himself of it—because he knew the path ahead demanded otherwise.

“Is that so? Do you think I am?” Nakamura countered smoothly.

Kyle quickly shook his head. “No, that isn’t what I mean—”

Nakamura only laughed. “You’re so serious. I’ve never seen you this rattled.”

But his calmness unsettled Kyle. Why was Nakamura so unfazed? Was it because the situation didn’t directly involve him?

“Well, I don’t exactly have two lives now, do I? Because it looks like this one might already be forfeit,” Kyle muttered bitterly.

“What were you thinking, getting involved with the Mafia?” Nakamura questioned, his tone sharp.

“I had no choice,” Kyle said truthfully. Turning them down hadn’t been an option. Who knew what kind of future awaited him if he refused? That was the reality he had been forced into.

The only reason Kyle had walked out of that building alive was because he’d shown interest in their proposition. The fact they knew about Clarence’s death proved they’d done their homework on him. Refusal could have easily made him their next target, especially since they had already marked his rising Agency as an outlet for their operations.

“That’s what everyone says,” Nakamura fired back, “but is that always the truth?”

Kyle frowned. “What are you talking about?”

“You had a choice. You just couldn’t stomach the consequences of the right one,” Nakamura said flatly, reminding Kyle he wasn’t a victim. He had chosen this path.

“You’re right,” Kyle admitted, “but that doesn’t change what needs to be done.”

“Well, you cannot kill Marcello if he’s the man you’ve described,” Nakamura said matter-of-factly.

“Why not?” Kyle asked.

“Because if you kill him, someone else will just take his place. Then they’ll come after you—and everyone you care about.”

Kyle opened his mouth, but Nakamura continued before he could reply.

“Unless… he has a family member you can leverage.”

Kyle immediately remembered the girl who had once tried to get him killed. “He has a daughter.”

Nakamura’s eyes lit up as he nodded approvingly. “There’s your answer. You need to get your hands on the daughter.”

Kyle grimaced. He had no idea how he was supposed to pull that off. She had already shown signs of being a nightmare to deal with. She wouldn’t go quietly, and the situation could escalate in a hundred different ways. Before he could say anything, Nakamura slid something across the table.

Kyle picked it up—it was a card. A picture of the girl, with an address scrawled underneath.

“What the hell? You already knew!” Kyle exclaimed.

Nakamura only smiled. “Of course I did. You need to know your enemies like the back of your hand. So? Can you get your hands on her? If you can, you won’t have to worry about anything else.”

“I… can try,” Kyle said reluctantly. He had the charm, the charisma, the looks that could sway almost any woman—but this wasn’t some parlor trick. Not every woman was susceptible. And she would definitely be protected. It wouldn’t be a walk in the park, but right now, it was his best option.

Kyle had no idea what Nakamura’s real plan was, and maybe it was better that way. Knowing might only sway how far he was willing to go to protect the people he loved.

At the very least, he had a direction now. It would be foolish to think he could learn this lifestyle from books or online guides—experience was the only teacher. Nakamura, however, had favors he could call in at any time, and Kyle knew he wouldn’t be able to refuse.

“I need certainty, Kyle. Anything but a yes is a waste of my time,” Nakamura said, his demeanor shifting.

Kyle thought he understood the man in front of him, but realized then that not everyone needed acting skills—the change in the air around Nakamura was enough.

“I’ll do it,” Kyle agreed, ending their meeting. He had an address now, but Marcello was clever. His daughter wasn’t in America.

“I guess I’m going to England,” Kyle muttered under his breath.
