Harem System In A fantasy World
Chapter 622: Travelling to Haven
"Make yourselves comfortable," Elion said, beckoning toward the plush seats scattered throughout the Ark’s lounge.
None of the seven people with him seemed to hear a word.
Their sparkling eyes were far too focused on the Ark’s grand interior.
"Wow..."
Elion smiled at their reactions before simply taking a seat and allowing them to wander freely around the spacious control room and lounge.
For most of them, there was far too much to take in at once.
The seamless walls displayed the outside world with such clarity that it almost felt as though there was nothing separating them from the sky.
The furnishings were immaculate, the lighting soft and perfectly balanced, and every surface looked as though it had been crafted with absurd attention to detail.
It was the kind of perfection they would only expect to see in the grandest palaces.
"Lord Elion."
One of the two elders accompanying the younger Vampires eventually approached him, his curiosity clearly getting the better of him.
"What exactly is this artefact called?"
Elion looked up.
The elder glanced around once again, still visibly amazed.
"And, if you don’t mind me asking... what manner of artefact is it? I’ve never seen anything quite like this before."
Elion briefly explained what he could about the Ark without revealing too much.
The others quickly gathered around to listen as well.
There were two elders accompanying the group.
The first was the bald, middle-aged man who had approached Elion moments earlier, while his counterpart was a sharp-eyed woman with long green hair and a considerably more reserved presence.
Then there were the five youngsters from the Vampire Clan’s academy.
All of them were older than Elion.
Three were young women, while the remaining two were young men.
Despite being considered some of the most talented youths of their generation, they currently looked little different from curious children as they listened to Elion explain the basics of the enormous artefact carrying them through the sky.
And despite them being older than him, with two of them already in their thirties, they looked almost as young as Elion did.
The other three were still in their twenties, yet somehow looked even younger, almost like his juniors.
One among them could easily pass for someone who hadn’t even left her teens yet.
Elion was currently going through their statuses as they finally began introducing themselves individually.
The oldest was Dimitri Berbatov.
He was a man with hollow cheeks, a sharp jaw, and hair so dark and sleek that it almost seemed to shine whenever the light struck it.
Elion’s first thought was that the man used far too much gel.
Dimitri was also the strongest among the five young Vampires.
He had already reached the Advanced Mage stage, though Elion could tell that the breakthrough had happened fairly recently.
Level 42.
That was already incredibly impressive for someone only in his thirties.
Not everyone could grow stronger at the ridiculous pace Elion had gotten used to, after all.
His family, and the Vampire Clan in general, were probably quite proud of what Dimitri had managed to accomplish at his age.
After introducing himself respectfully, Dimitri stepped aside.
The second man came forward.
This one was considerably more muscular.
His fitted bodysuit did an excellent job of highlighting just how well-built his body was, easily surpassing Elion in that particular department, though he came up slightly short when it came to height, only a little bit.
This Vampire was thirty-two years old and a Level 34 Adept Mage.
He introduced himself respectfully as well before stepping aside. By now, Elion had already noticed something rather obvious.
All five of them seemed to hold him in extremely high regard.
Their respectful tones, straight postures, and careful choice of words made it obvious that they genuinely looked up to him.
Elion simply nodded as the man moved away, leaving the three women standing in the single-file line they had formed before beginning their introductions.
The first woman stepped forward.
She was quite beautiful.
Naturally, that was the first thing Elion noticed when it came to women.
Though that was if one ignored the ridiculously long tip of her nose.
Her silver hair had been cut into a short, neat style that framed her face nicely, ending just above her shoulders.
The strands of her hair were very thin and shiny, like silk.
She performed a small curtsy despite not wearing a dress, probably out of habit, before introducing herself.
"Aerin Bones, Lord Elion."
Twenty-eight years old.
Level 33.
Adept Mage.
Elion nodded, arms crossed over his chest, before Aerin stepped aside.
Of course, he had already taken notice of all five of them during the short period they had spent training together.
But that was about it.
Dorian hadn’t exactly given him much time to socialise between beatings.
The second woman stepped forward, and unlike everyone who had come before her... She looked incredibly flustered.
Her body wasn’t even facing Elion directly.
One foot kept shifting against the floor while her fingers played nervously with a strand of her long, curly hair.
She refused to meet his gaze, and her face was rapidly becoming redder by the second.
"M-My name is... M-Marianne D’Arcy..." She stammered through the introduction while practically squirming in place.
Elion found the sight rather cute.
She was quite cute in general, actually.
Puffy cheeks, a slight double chin, naturally rosy skin, and an expression that made it seem like merely standing in front of him was some impossible trial.
Elion looked at her status, and his brows rose slightly.
Marianne D’Arcy.
Age twenty-five.
Level 38.
Adept Mage.
’Oh?’
That surprised him.
Not only was she the youngest among the five, but she was also the second strongest by level.
And then Elion noticed something else.
Something he hadn’t seen on any of the others: A White Grade Talent.
The remaining four possessed Gold Grade Talents.
Marianne’s was White.
The same grade Celeste had possessed before her ascension. That made him look at her in a different light.
Of course, she still fell short of Celeste when it came to the purity and grade of her bloodline, but the talent alone was enough to make her stand out considerably.
Her shy demeanour was rather misleading.
Elion quietly committed her name and status to memory.
Marianne hurriedly stepped aside, looking almost relieved that her introduction was finally over.
That left only one person remaining.
"Tiana Wintergrave." Another beauty.
Also an adept mage, and age twenty-nine.
Level 33.
This one actually glared at Elion, and he could only chuckle. He had punched her square in the face not too long ago, after all.
In his defence, they had been training, and she had specifically told him not to hold back.
Unfortunately for her, that had ended with Tiana unconscious on the ground with froth gathering at the corner of her mouth.
Her body was slender and visibly athletic, with well-toned muscles along her arms and legs.
Her chest was quite small as well, which probably helped with her movement. At the very least, she didn’t have to deal with the kind of obstructive mounds Tessa carried around.
Her nails were another matter entirely. They were unusually long and sharp, curving into menacing, razor-sharp ends.
For what reason?
Elion could only guess.
Despite her obvious displeasure, Tiana still showed him the same respect as the others before stepping aside.
Despite her not being the youngest, Tiana looked like the youngest among them, mostly because of her much smaller frame.
Her long black hair flowed down her back like a dark river as she made her way toward one of the empty seats.
Elion watched her go.
’Hopefully she doesn’t hold that sucker punch against me.’
He brought his hands together.
Clap!
The sharp sound immediately drew everyone’s attention.
"Alright!"
Elion looked around at the group.
"We should arrive in Haven no later than two days from now. Probably less. If any of you need anything before then, just let me know."
He pointed toward the long, brightly lit corridor leading away from the lounge.
"The bathrooms are down that hall, and every door is labelled, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding them. The same goes for the training room."
Their expression perked up at the mention of a training room.
"You can use it whenever you want if you’d like to get some last-minute training in before we arrive. The walls and floor are heavily reinforced, so you don’t need to worry about damaging anything."
Elion smiled slightly.
"So you can go all out." That seemed to please them, if only a little. "As for the other rooms, they’re restricted. I don’t think I need to explain why."
Everyone nodded.
The two elders thanked him once again.
Their names were Edmund and Valentina, and they looked exactly like what one might expect from a pair of Vampire elders accompanying an official entourage.
Both wore loose, extravagant robes made from expensive-looking material, though Edmund’s were considerably darker while Valentina’s carried more intricate ornamentation around the sleeves and collar.
Neither of them commented on Elion’s estimated travel time, but both were visibly surprised.
Two days.
That was far quicker than either of them had expected. However, out of respect for Elion, they kept their questions to themselves.
Though the slight concern in their expressions didn’t escape him. The Legacy World would be opening in only three days, after all.
As far as they were concerned, there was very little room for delays.
