Chapter 1134: Lilith’s Seduction [Part 1]
Chapter 1134 – Lilith’s Seduction [Part 1]
Lux slowly looked around. "This place is neat."
Lilith’s smile widened. "You sound surprised."
"I expected... more ruins."
"Because I was imprisoned?"
"Because everyone ancient I meet lately comes with structural damage."
"Mm. I prepared better."
He glanced at her. "This is your real house?"
"Yes." She walked forward, shadow-silk trailing behind her like obedient smoke. "I built this in case I woke up someday. I needed a place to go."
Lux looked at the spotless furniture. The lit candles. The clean carpets. The fresh flowers arranged in a black vase near the entrance.
"I assumed this place existed long before I was born, but it doesn’t look abandoned at all. No dust, no rot, no lonely old mansion smell. Someone has been taking care of it. Either that, or your house has better maintenance standards than most royal palaces I’ve visited so far."
"I have servants."
She snapped her fingers.
Shadows peeled away from the walls.
Lux’s daggers almost appeared in his hands by instinct.
Almost.
The figures that emerged were low-level demons. Small, thin, shadow-skinned things with dim eyes and long limbs, their bodies shaped like unfinished thoughts. They bowed to Lilith in eerie unison. No hunger in them. No ambition. No clear desire. Their cores were faint, nearly hollow.
Lux recognized the type.
Old.
Primitive.
Extinct. Supposedly.
His eyes narrowed. "You can make them servants? I thought they were... extinct."
Lilith gave them a fond, careless glance. "They are, in most places."
"That is not comforting."
"Well..." She waved one hand, and the shadow servants straightened. "You just need to give them purpose."
Lux watched them.
Purpose.
Not contract. Not slavery. Not the kind of desire demons usually carried, burning and loud. These creatures had almost nothing inside them. But when Lilith looked at them, something organized their emptiness. Task. Shape. Motion. A reason to exist.
That made his skin prickle.
Creation and control wearing the same dress.
Lilith flicked her fingers again.
The servants vanished into the walls, carrying silent orders with them.
"This place has wards," Lilith said. "Old ones. Mine. Not Kaelmor’s. Not Heaven’s. Not Sin House law." She glanced over her shoulder. "So don’t worry."
Lux exhaled slowly.
Then looked toward where Envy House would be, far beyond walls, routes, and distance. "What about Cyrinne’s place?"
Lilith’s smile became lazy again. "Don’t worry. I covered my trace."
"Your power was leaking."
"A bit. Only someone near me could feel it properly."
Lux held her gaze for a second.
Then huffed in relief.
He rubbed his forehead, suddenly aware that his day had included illegal soul travel, coffin kissing, Kaelmor containment sabotage, learning the king could not die, being teleported into Lilith’s secret mansion, and possibly getting himself scheduled for ancient goddess-level repayment.
This was an audit failure with perfume.
Lilith watched him with increasing amusement. "So..." she said.
She sat down on a long black chaise near the window, one leg folding elegantly beneath the shadow-silk, the other stretching out with sinful laziness. She looked entirely at home there. Like the mansion had been waiting centuries for her to sit exactly that way and make the room remember who owned beauty before civilization learned manners.
Lux should have stayed standing near the door.
Instead, he stepped closer.
Because he was intelligent, powerful, strategic, and occasionally deeply stupid in aesthetically pleasing ways.
Lilith reached out.
Her fingers caught his tie.
Lux stopped.
She pulled.
Not hard.
She did not need to.
The tie tightened around his throat just enough to make his pulse notice. He leaned forward, one hand bracing against the back of the chaise beside her shoulder. Their faces drew close again, close enough that her scent slipped into his breath and curled there.
Lilith looked up at him through her lashes.
Red eyes. Amused.
Hungry, yes.
But not mindless.
Never that.
"We shall continue," she murmured, tugging his tie one more inch, "what happened in the coffin."
Lux’s smile darkened.
His hand covered hers on his tie.
"So," he murmured, voice low enough to make the candle flames lean closer like shameless little spectators. "You want a kiss."
Lilith looked up at him from the chaise, red eyes half-lidded, ancient amusement curling at the corners like smoke from a beautiful crime.
"Not just one."
Her fingers tightened around his tie.
"More."
Then she pulled him down and kissed him.
No hesitation.
No softness pretending to be innocent.
Lilith kissed like a woman who had watched kingdoms crawl, kings rot, angels lie, demons beg, and still decided this, this reckless Greed prince with his careful hands and dangerous restraint, was the most entertaining thing Hell had produced in centuries.
Lux answered.
His hand slid from her wrist to the side of her throat, thumb resting beneath her jaw, holding her not like property, not like conquest, but like a temptation he had chosen to stop running from. Their mouths moved deeper, hotter, her tongue meeting his with slow, wicked insistence. She tasted like night wine, burnt sugar, and ruin wearing perfume.
His Greed wanted to claim.
His Lust wanted to devour.
Lilith smiled into the kiss as if she heard it.
She tilted her head, dragging him closer, forcing him to brace one knee against the chaise. Her other hand climbed his chest, not rushed, not needy, worse, confident. Like she already knew where his restraint lived and had come with a map, a torch, and no moral supervision.
Lux broke the kiss first.
Barely.
Their mouths parted, breath mingling in the thin space between them. A glossy string still connected the tips of their tongues for one scandalous heartbeat before it snapped.
Lilith panted softly.
Not from weakness.
From pleasure.
Her smile was lazy, satisfied, and absolutely not done.
"Ah..." Her nails trailed down his collar, catching at the first button like a threat dressed as curiosity. "Nice start."
Lilith leaned back just enough to make him follow without realizing it. She tugged his tie again, slower this time, making the fabric slide through her fingers like a leash she had decided to borrow. "I want more."
Lux chuckled, low and dangerous.
"You’re very demanding for a recently awakened guest."
Lilith’s eyes gleamed."And you’re very composed for a man whose pulse just betrayed him."
She lifted her face near his ear.
"Come now," she whispered. "Show me what kind of civilization Greed learned while I was asleep."
