"An 8-8th s-stage hell spirit realm cultivator!" Papa Chuchu trembled as he stared at Kai in horror. Mia also stared at Kai in astonishment.

'Who is he and why is he helping me?' She wondered why Kai was helping her even though they had only known each other for a day.

As for Kai, he was examining his fingernails with a superior look, waiting for the Chuchu clan ancestor to come so that he could destroy the entire family at once.

"Y-you are an imposter who is using some cheap trick. You picked the wrong family to attack!" Mam-, uh I-don't-know-who Chuchu woman said.

Some color returned to Papa Chuchu's face and he looked at Kai closely, trying to believe that what his wife had said was true.

"Whoever you are, what business do you have with my family?" Papa Chuchu asked with confidence.

"I didn't have any problem with you. In fact, I didn't even know you existed. But then, Mia here told me about her experience with your family. And other than that, your name is cringe-worthy." Kai said and pointed towards Mia.

"You! How is it possible that your face has no scars?! I carved them myself!" The fat young master suddenly said.

'Oh, you foolish brat. Why did I let him do these things and then let him off with such a nonexistent punishment?' Papa Chuchu cursed himself.

Truth be told, Papa Chuchu too had thought that Mia was too beautiful. In fact, he wanted her as a concubine but due to his age, he wasn't able to do so.

So as the next better option, he had wanted her to become a slave to his son. However, Mia had always rejected his son. Papa was angry because of this and he, himself, had given that dagger to his son so that he could make her his own.

Unfortunately, the Blue Moon Sect had managed to save this girl and they had taken her away to their sect. And because his own son was at fault, he wasn't able to do anything to get Mia back.

"You little bitch. You came back here to get revenge, didn't you? And let me guess, you sold your body to this fake bastard to get your revenge. I wil-" The wife of Papa Chuchu was cursing at Mia when she suddenly stopped midsentence.

"You know, I am still here. So you should watch what you say. I don't like people who talk to my lovers with such malice. As compensation, I will take your tongue out of your mouth." Kai said in a dangerous tone and his image flickered for a second.

The next second, he came into focus and he was holding a tongue in his hand. Suddenly, the wife screamed at the top of her lungs as blood started to drip from her mouth. She fell on the ground with her hands wrapped around her mouth.

Papa and his son stared at Kai in horror. They both looked at each other and nodded as though coming to a silent agreement.

"You have chosen the wrong family. We will now call our ancestor." Papa said and both he and his son shouted at the same time.

"Dad."

"Grandpa."

Kai once again cringed at this. What was this, an ancestor summoning chant? He suddenly realized something and his eyes darkened.

Everyone thought that Kai was afraid of the ancestor but in reality, he was thinking about something completely different.

'From my time in this world, I have realized that the naming sense of this world is really pathetic. If this family head has his name as Papa, then I don't want to imagine the name of his dad.' Kai realized that he would have to stop the ancestor from speaking his name.

Suddenly, the atmosphere turned extremely warm and a middle-aged man with curly red hair and dull brown eyes appeared in front of the Chuchu family.

'Oh wait, wasn't there an alchemy master here?' Kai suddenly realized that the alchemy master had ran away quietly.

'What an intelligent person. He realized that I was too strong and since he valued his life, he fled. I would have also done the same thing.' He nodded his head in approval.

In fact, Kai had a very famous motto on this - 'If you cannot win, then run like your life depends on it because it does.'

This motto was created because some of his harem members were so dangerous that when they were angered, he literally had to run for his life or he would have been killed.

"Who dares to attack my family. I, the great-" The ancestor's suddenly stopped talking.

"I forbid you from speaking your name. I don't want nightmares about bad names so I had to do this." Kai said with glaring eyes.

When he had realized that the ancestor was about to speak his name, he had instantly snapped his fingers to forbid him from doing something like that. Kai already had enough cringeworthy names with him and he didn't want to create a list for it.

"Ummm Kai, please don't torture them and simply kill them." Mia said softly. Though she had definitely enjoyed Kai's torturing, she was still human.

"If that's what you wish." He said in reply but he was still glaring at the Chuchu family.

"Oh, you really have the balls to say something like that, though the young lady doesn't have balls. Anyways I am goi-"

The ancestor never got to finish his sentence as his whole body turned to dust and the wind scattered it. The other family members had expressions of horror but before they could say anything, they, too, turned to dust and were scattered away by the wind.

"Let's go." Kai said, his face bearing a satisfied grin. He transported himself and Mia away to the same alley as before.

He had not told her but he had tortured them for a few seconds before they had died. In those few seconds, they had died in fifty different ways before dying for real.

"Are you sure that you are going to be ok since that alchemy master managed to run away?" Mia was worried about Kai because if it was found out that he had massacred an entire family, he would be in massive trouble.

"Don't worry about him. I had manipulated his memories the second we got there. The only thing he remembers is that an assassin had killed the Chuchu family." He reassured her.

"But that aside, let's search for a place to stay for the night. I have to recover my energy before using light steps to go back." Kai said and he and Mia started looking for a place to stay.

He found a good hotel and asked the receptionist about the rooms.

"Sorry sir, only 1 room is available since this is a tourist season. Our hotel is one of the last remaining hotels to have a room." The receptionist told Kai.

"What do you want to do? We can stay out there in the forest if you feel uncomfortable about sharing a room with me." Kai asked Mia.

Mia simply shook her head. In these few days, Mia had grown close to him and she had started trusting him with her life. And other than that, she felt a strange magnetic pull towards him.

Kai paid the receptionist and they entered their room. It was a single large room with a bathroom attached to it. It had a double bed in the center and some shelves with different books on them.

Their morning adventures had ended and the night adventure was about to begin.
