Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1749 - 1749: Old Madam Yu is ashamed

Chen Mi studied Xiao Hua with great distaste before saying to him, “Where did you go anyway?” It had been a while since he saw Xiao Hua.

The mer raised his head and looked at Chen Mi with a smile on his face, “Why did you miss me?”

“Do you think that you are someone who needs to be missed?” Chem Mi questioned back with a sneer causing Xiao Hua to roll his eyes.

“Rude, you are,” Xiao Hua snorted before replying to his question, “I went to the small village where Dong Dong wants to buy the mountains. She said that she wants to grow oranges and apples there, along with the rest of the fruits.”

“I was there to check up on the condition of the village as well as the villagers,” he then turned to look at Yu Dong before saying to her, “The villagers of that village are willing to sell you the mountains but they want grains and water in exchange for money.

They also want you to dig a well for them, I told them it was really difficult but we can arrange for a water delivery service if they wanted – just like you asked me.”

“You went to Red Tail village?” Ye Liu asked with a frown before turning to look at Yu Dong, “Why did you send him? I thought that it was Brother Li and Sister Gu who were in charge of doing such negotiations.”

The last thing he wanted was for his wife to become smitten by Xiao Hua until she could no longer use her head properly.

“It’s indeed their job,” Yu Dong nodded and replied, “But the Red Tail Village is where Hua Hua grew up. So I thought that the villagers would be much more agreeable with him going there.”

Xiao Hua smiled at Ye Liu proudly before saying to him, “That’s right, they were quite happy when they saw me.” he paused and then turned to look at Yu Dong before saying to her, “But there are some new families who are refusing to let their side of mountains to be rented or sold.”

“And even if they are willing to agree, they told me that they wanted both money and grains as well as a water supply.”

After speaking, he huffed and said to Yu Dong, “They really think that their land is growing gold.”

“If that is the case then we will simply not buy their side of land,” Yu Dong stated. She only wanted to expand her fruit farms along with the vineyard.

It didn’t mean a do-or-die matter for her, if she could get it without any trouble then it was alright but if she couldn’t there was no need for her to take the trouble to go out of her comfort zone and convince those people.

Anyway, they were not counted as members of the Red Tail Village. They were refugees who were trying to find a place to stay.

She didn’t have to take them seriously.

Xiao Hua heaved a sigh of relief, he thought that Yu Dong would be upset with him for he had not succeeded in his tasks. But he was glad that Yu Dong did not say anything and agreed with him.

“Dong Dong!” Yu Dong raised her head and turned her attention to look at the direction in which Grandma Yu’s room was. She turned to look at her husbands and said to them, “I will go and see what grandmother wants.”

Ye Liu and the rest nodded.

After Ding Nuan Nuan’s ordeal, Grandma Yu was not in a good condition either. Her life force was also swallowed by Ding Nuan Nuan and Big Yu which meant that she was also meeting with all kinds of accidents.

Till now the accidents that she had met with had resulted in twisting of her foot, breaking of her wrist and snapping of her shoulders.

Though the accidents were not that serious with Old Madam Yu being old and aged, these accidents were enough to make her lie in bed for more than three weeks.

And even now she is not doing great as just yesterday night she fell down the bed in a freak accident and ended up losing one of her teeth.

And it just so happened to be the first one.

Yu Dong was trying to instil as much spiritual energy within Old Madam Yu as possible but there was a limit to which she could infuse the spiritual energy inside Madam Yu. or else the old woman would end up dying because of spiritual shock or explosion.

The others nodded while Chen Mi rushed into the kitchen and brought a bowl of porridge from inside. He said to Yu Dong, “Bring this to Grandma Yu.”

These days Grandma Yu did not let them serve her, she either relied on Yu Dong or Lang. All of them knew that it was because Old Madam Yu still remembered what she had done to them a few weeks ago and was ashamed to face them.

They did not make things difficult for her either. Since Old Madam Yu was still not feeling better, they might as well leave her alone.

Once she started feeling better, she would come to talk with them on her own.

Yu Dong took the bowl from Chen Mi and then walked over to the small room where Old Madam Yu was lying on the bed.

“You are here, Dong Dong,” Second Grand Aunt Yu smiled at Yu Dong who smiled back at her. She turned to look at Grandma Yu before asking, “How are you feeling, Grandma?”

“Like hell,” Grandma Yu sighed as she tried to get rid of the depressing feeling that was pressing down on her chest. She had yet to come to an understanding of her actions. She couldn’t understand why she even hurt her sons-in-law like that, and on top of that things were turning bad from worse for her.

Were the heavens so upset with her that she was being punished like this?
