“Let’s go,” Ye Liu placed the bowl down and then rushed after Yu Dong. Several other villagers rushed to the old house after hearing what was going on.
“Mother, you are confused! Don’t call me unfilial… I am only doing this for the good of the village! Yu Dong and her family have corrupted your mind. What do you mean by I am causing trouble?”
“It’s her who had caused trouble! She is the one who should have stayed put but she went ahead and did so many things, why did you not say that she was causing trouble? Now that I have brought a few people with me, you are saying that I have caused trouble for the village.”

“What are you talking about? I am doing this for the village as well!”
“You know how the situation is outside. Even if we are growing food and have water to drink, don’t forget that no one knows when the drought is going to end! In such a case even the smallest amount of grain can help us. I am doing this with good intentions!” Yu Linyun refused Grandma Fang angrily.
“Hah! You truly know how to turn black into white! You say that they are here for the sake of helping us? Our village is brimming with food and water! Even if the drought outside is troublesome, Dong Dong has taken all sorts of precautions! Even if the drought was to continue for a year or two, we can still survive with the measures that Dong Dong had taken!”

“And why are they here?”
Village head Gu questions were answered by silence.
Yu Dong on the other hand walked over to the carriage behind that had a cart tied to it and her expression twisted.
“Who is foolish enough to tie a cart full of food behind the carriage like this? I can see the rice noodles, meat and jerky with just one glance. The bandits would have seen it too!” Yu Dong’s complexion did not look good as she walked past the carriage and glared at her stupid second aunt. “What is the meaning of this?
Do you think that the villagers are living too comfortably that you brought this danger to our village?”
Yu Linyun did not look well. She had indeed asked the missy to bring the meat and food inside the carriage but the husband of the missy said that he was not used to smelling raw meat and pushed the ration outside the carriage. They could only use a cart to bring the food along with them.
“I..we did not encounter any bandits when we were coming here,” Yu Linyun tried to quibble.
“Of course you didn’t! That’s because the bandits must be waiting to attack you in the night!”
