A golden radiance sealed heaven and earth, while a pressure so tangible it felt physical swept in every direction.

Furthermore, an immense spiritual will assaulted him from all sides, bearing down with utmost ferocity upon the last wisp of Xie Nian True Master’s consciousness.

There was no avoiding it, no escaping it.

Beneath the giant palm, Xie Nian True Master’s body began to crackle as a web of fine fissures instantly spread across it.

Despite possessing an Exotic Treasure, he was helpless. He could only watch as the colossal palm bore down on him.

It crashed down!

’I’m going to die again...’

In his final moment, Xie Nian True Master’s heart flooded with endless indignation.

’After struggling to hang on by a thread for so many years, I finally earned a chance at rebirth.’

’How could I die the moment I’m reborn?’

’Doesn’t this mean the Celestial Secret Sect Master’s prophecy has come true?’

’Is so-called destiny really impossible to defy?’

These stray thoughts flashed through his mind and were gone.

BOOM!

Just as the giant palm was about to strike the ground, the earth suddenly quaked and mountains trembled, sending clouds of dust billowing into the air.

Yet, when the golden, colossal palm was just over ten feet from the ground, it suddenly retracted its force. The resulting shockwave shattered the earth and completely pulverized Xie Nian True Master’s body.

...

WHOOSH!

A short while later, the horizon began to glow with the pale white of dawn, and faint motes of light descended from the heavens.

Amidst the ruins, the Silver-White Dog Demon lay uncomfortably on its back with its legs in the air, its belly swollen and round. It panted heavily.

The Demon Ghosts had been tasty, but there had been far too many, and they were proving difficult to digest.

Su Bai slowly descended. With a gentle flick of his sleeve, the Earth Veins among the mountains rumbled, calming the churning, roaring torrent of energy.

"WHINE!"

The Silver-White Dog Demon struggled to flip over. It staggered toward him, looking dizzy.

"You can’t just eat those things indiscriminately."

Su Bai glanced at it and shook his head slightly.

Having been tempered by his True Qi, the Silver-White Dog Demon’s body had already surpassed that of many Great Demons. Its claws and fangs were not only exceptionally sharp, but also possessed the power to tear apart the bodies of Demon Fiends.

A few days prior, even Mu Guihai had been careless and come out on the losing end against it. While the Demon Ghosts were numerous, few of them were powerful, so they naturally couldn’t harm the dog.

It wasn’t injured, but it had nearly eaten itself to death.

One could only say that while the Silver-White Dog Demon now had power, its temperament hadn’t escaped a dog’s instinct to gorge itself.

"Senior..."

The Silver-White Dog Demon let out a pathetic burp, wisps of Yin Qi spraying from its nostrils.

"You really can’t control that appetite of yours..."

Su Bai flicked his finger.

THUMP!

The Silver-White Dog Demon rolled with the impact, landing on its back with its legs in the air once more. It then spewed out a plume of black smoke.

Countless ghostly faces materialized within the black smoke, letting out sharp, ear-piercing shrieks.

Su Bai casually closed his hand, and the wailing black smoke was caught in his palm.

These Demon Ghosts were not of much use. Their very nature was twisted and frenzied, making communication impossible.

However, they did have *some* use.

After spitting out the black smoke, the Silver-White Dog Demon seemed to come back to life, a human-like look of relief spreading across its face.

"You’re right, Senior. I won’t dare do that again..."

Su Bai couldn’t be bothered with the glutton. With a mere thought, a shattered, skeletal frame fell from the sky and landed before them.

This skeleton looked identical to the White Bone Body he had previously refined using Demon Beast Bones.

But upon closer inspection, one would find that it was not made of pure bone.

Within every inch of bone were countless, densely packed blood-red filaments, threaded throughout the skeletal structure.

It was because of these blood-red filaments that the skeleton, though clearly covered in cracks, was still held together, and had not crumbled to pieces on the ground.

HUFF!

The Silver-White Dog Demon leaped to its feet, the previous lesson already forgotten. It stared at the skeleton, saliva dripping from its mouth.

It took a single step, but after feeling Su Bai’s gaze, it immediately flopped back onto the ground.

"S-Senior, I... my teeth are just a little itchy..."

’A dog can’t be taught not to eat shit.’

’No, I should say, a dog can’t be taught not to eat bones.’

Su Bai shook his head inwardly, though he understood.

He had purified the dog’s bloodline many times, causing its sinews and bones to grow so quickly that it had an unconscious urge to gnaw on things. It wasn’t actually craving the bones.

With a series of cracks, the skeleton tried to move several times but couldn’t rise. Xie Nian True Master finally gave up the struggle. His voice emerged, cold and grim.

"Just who in the world are you?"

At the last moment, Su Bai had clearly held back, allowing him to retain a sliver of his Divine Spirit.

A loss was a loss; it wasn’t that he couldn’t accept defeat.

He was simply indignant. This person before him possessed no Power of Incense, nor did he have the aura of the Daoist, Buddhist, Demonic, Ghostly, or Heretical paths.

So how had he become so overwhelmingly powerful?

Yes, overwhelmingly powerful!

He was certain that this person lacked the Creation Qi from breaking through to the Returning Void Realm, nor did he have the Light of a Perfect Divine Soul from advancing to the Feathered Realm.

Regardless of which path he cultivated, or which Divine Power Technique he practiced, his Martial Arts Realm should have stopped at the Nine Tribulations Realm.

And he himself, despite being incredibly weak at the moment, was still at the Feathered Realm. For a cultivator at the Nine Tribulations Realm to be able to defeat him... "overwhelmingly powerful" was hardly enough to describe it.

The man was simply a monster, a freak of nature.

Inconceivable!

"The Netherworld Venerable Master is gone. You most likely won’t have another chance to achieve Rebirth or enter the cycle of Reincarnation again."

Su Bai said calmly as he reached out a hand. Ripples spread through the void, and waves of Yin Sha Qi surged forth.
