Chapter 656: Chapter 218: The Oriole Behind

Qin Feng breathed a silent sigh of relief.

He carefully calculated his chances.

Cang, Mobi, Flame Crow, and Leng Yu were all top-tier powerhouses. However, as long as they hadn’t mastered some special Secret Technique or trump card specifically for detection and perception, there was no way they could discover his presence.

’Fortune favors the bold... Perhaps this time, I can truly seize an unimaginably great opportunity. I must be fully prepared.’

With that thought, Qin Feng no longer hesitated.

With a mental command, he brought up his Contribution Points balance.

[Contribution Points: 10,150,000]

He had already converted all the points from killing Lang Qi and Wolf Ten, along with his earnings from clearing out pirates during the prior chase, into Contribution Points.

This was a fortune large enough to drive any Planet-level Strongman mad.

He immediately logged into the virtual network of the Imperial Trading House and began to search its vast, sea-like treasury for powerful trump cards that could be decisive at a critical moment.

Single-use destructive weapons, secret treasures that could simulate the aura of a Constant Star-level Powerhouse for a short time...

Qin Feng chose carefully.

He sought quality, not quantity.

Every Contribution Point had to be spent where it counted most.

Just as Qin Feng was intensely preparing his contingencies, the "negotiation" outside was getting down to business.

That enormous Battle Moon slowly descended, finally hovering in mid-air a thousand meters above the ground.

A crude metal gangway was lowered. A terrifying Beastman, fully ten meters tall and with a build as burly as a small mountain, slowly walked out, surrounded by a retinue of equally ferocious guards.

It wore a crude suit of Power Armor cobbled together from countless trophies, a masterpiece of violent aesthetics. In its hand, it gripped a giant, buzzing Chainsaw Sword wider than a door panel.

A terrifying aura, mixed with the stench of blood, rust, and madness, washed over them.

"Me, Green Skin Lord, ’Big Belly’!"

This terrifying Green-skinned Warlord actually spoke articulate, albeit strangely accented, Imperial language that was perfectly understandable. He introduced himself to Cang and the others below in a booming, resonant voice.

As its voice fell, the Green-skinned Orcs behind it immediately went wild, as if pumped full of stimulants. They raised their crude choppers and guns, letting out incomprehensible but extremely frenzied roars.

"WAAAGH! Big Belly!"

Cang’s expression didn’t change in the slightest. He looked up at the behemoth and said in a low voice, "A war big enough for a ’WAAAGH!’ is about to begin.

The Insect Race’s nest is in that ’hole.’ It’s filled with countless core insectoids, and even the weakest among them are what you’d consider ’big ’uns’. So, how about it? Is this battlefield exciting enough for you?"

"The coordinates you gave, good! Very good!"

The Green Skin Lord named "Big Belly" split his cavernous mouth into a cruel smile, revealing rows of dagger-like tusks.

"I’ll lead the boyz myself to go twist off the heads of those little bugs! Hope they’re worthy opponents, don’t let me and my boyz down!"

As he spoke, he gestured toward Cang and the others with his giant Chainsaw Sword. It was a movement that was part greeting, part threat.

Cang, Leng Yu, Flame Crow, and Mobi exchanged a knowing glance. They could all see the resolve in each other’s eyes.

The plan was already halfway to success.

Without another word, the four transformed into streaks of different-colored light. They shot at astonishing speed straight into the eerily shimmering entrance to the secret realm and vanished instantly.

Seeing the four enter, the Green Skin Lord "Big Belly" let out a heaven-shaking, maniacal laugh, turned, and returned to the Battle Moon.

Immediately after, a scene unfolded that made even Qin Feng’s scalp tingle.

The massive War Fortress, hovering in mid-air like a small satellite, ignited countless engines across its surface, all of them spewing dazzling exhaust flames.

Without a moment’s hesitation, with a kind of brutish disregard for physics, it adjusted its angle and rammed straight into the unstable Subspace fragment—the entrance to the Insect Race Secret Realm!

BOOM!!!

Space trembled violently. The entrance to the secret realm was brutally torn open, expanded dozens of times over, like a great mouth being pried wide.

And just like that, amidst a series of grating screeches of spatial friction, the massive Battle Moon disappeared into the distorted light and shadow.

The entire world once again returned to a deathly silence.

Qin Feng narrowed his eyes and emerged from his hiding place.

He didn’t follow them in immediately.

The most dangerous moments are rarely during the fiercest fighting, but at the beginning and the end.

He needed to confirm that there were no other variables at play.

He waited quietly outside the entrance for another full day, using the time to carefully select his trump card.

In the end, Qin Feng spent 10,000,000 Contribution Points to purchase a Planet-level S-Class Spiritual Ability Field Gun.

This Spiritual Energy Field Gun was terrifyingly powerful. Once activated with Mental Power, it could fire a Spiritual Energy Beam capable of easily annihilating the physical body of a Planet-level Strongman. It also came with a Mental Power interference field, making it nearly impossible to defend against. However, a single use would exhaust all the energy in its miniature Psychic Core, making it a one-shot weapon.

Higher-grade versions of this weapon existed that could be used multiple times, but they were even more expensive.

After confirming that no other third-party forces were involved, and after the faint, terrifying roar of war—like a billion thunderclaps detonating at once—began to echo from within the secret realm...
