Grinding Cultivation Toward Martial Saint
Chapter 1947: An Immortal Takes Action, A Cross-Realm Finger!
Yingzhou.
One of the Three Eastern Sea Islands.
Also known as an Overseas Immortal Mountain.
On the island.
Ranges of mountains layered in emerald green, mist curling all around.
Ancient trees tower, vines hang down, strange flowers and rare herbs cover the four quarters of the island, Immortal Cranes occasionally descend from the Immortal Mountains on the island.
On this day, the sky was ten thousand miles of clear blue, the heavens filled with Pure Qi and bright.
Suddenly, upon the distant blue sea and sky, a rainbow of gold and silver interwoven tore through the void and arrived.
One instant it was still at the far horizon, the next instant it had already plunged deep into Yingzhou.
Jiang Ning’s gaze locked firmly onto the island at the very center of Yingzhou.
That Blood God, the last aura of the East Sea, was on that island.
“Yingzhou, Penglai, Fangzhang, it’s said that behind the Three Eastern Sea Islands stands the shadow of Immortals, also called Overseas Immortal Mountains.” Jiang Ning’s thoughts flashed through his mind.
The next moment.
He charged straight into the sky above the highest island of Yingzhou.
In an instant.
The void rippled with Lianyi, then wind howled and clouds surged, black clouds like ink gathered.
“There is an Array!”
His heart steadied.
“Speed through the void, fight and end it fast!”
Boom—
Just as the thought flickered through his mind.
He landed at a secluded spot on the mountaintop.
“Who dares break into the forbidden grounds of my Yingzhou Immortal Mountain?”
“Activate the grand Array—” A voice echoed from afar.
And at this moment.
Jiang Ning raised a fist toward the unremarkable statue left forgotten amidst the wilds ahead.
As his fist struck, the Five Elements flowed endlessly, Yin Yang interwove, a Chaotic Aura surfaced.
Rumble—
With a single punch, heaven and earth shuddered, rocks crumbled.
That stone statue suddenly turned to dust and burst apart.
At that instant, a scarlet blood-light shot out from the dust, like a Spiritual Snake, piercing straight through the firmament.
“Jiang Ning!!!” The voice was shrill, filled with venomous hatred. “Between you and me, it’s to the death—”
“Too much talking.” Jiang Ning spoke.
He raised his hand for another punch.
The Five Elements converged, time and space froze, a stretch of heaven and earth was directly sealed.
Rumble—
Another thunderous boom, the void collapsed, an invisible storm spread, devouring everything.
“There are still three other places. Once I settle them all, I can begin the final ending!” Jiang Ning’s eyes narrowed slightly.
The next moment.
His figure flickered, turning into a rainbow of light that shot straight up.
From the moment he had charged into the Immortal Mountain until now, only about one breath had passed.
Now, he dared not linger and waste time.
Yingzhou, Penglai, Fangzhang, also known as Overseas Immortal Mountains.
He believed such a saying would not arise from nothing.
In this world, Grotto Heavens and Cave Heaven Blessed Lands are numerous; the East Sea also has many Cave Heaven Blessed Lands, that he knew.
In such a context, for the three largest islands of the East Sea to have an Immortal Cave Heaven standing behind them was only natural.
As this thought churned, he rammed through the rolling black clouds that had just gathered.
Those converging black clouds were the effect of the grand Array.
But an Array that covered an entire Immortal Mountain needed time to fully activate; less than one breath had passed, and before it could completely start, it was directly torn through by Jiang Ning.
A huge gap appeared within the black clouds.
That gold-and-silver interwoven rainbow, like a sharp sword piercing through, ripped open a massive fissure in the not-yet-fully-condensed grand Array.
The black clouds billowed, as if enraged dragons were roaring, but in the end they were still one step too slow, utterly unable to catch up with the retreating silhouette of that rainbow.
Just then.
Hum—!!!
Heaven and earth resonated, time and space solidified, all things were fixed in place.
The void trembled slowly, appearing in perception as extremely sluggish, as wave after wave of Lianyi rippled out with crystal clarity.
Like surging tides sweeping toward the four directions.
Seeing this scene, Jiang Ning’s pupils contracted.
This slowness, he knew, was his own illusion, and also the misperception of everyone who witnessed it.
Fast and slow are only relative.
But he knew even more clearly that a power that could make heaven and earth resonate, solidify time and space, and fix all things in place was anything but ordinary—it was a force affecting the very flux of time and space, a power of a higher dimension.
In this instant, he felt an incomparably vast oppression.
That pressure poured down as if from the Ninth Heaven, like mountains of myriad tons bearing down on his head, and like boundless ocean waters flooding upside down.
Then, above his head, the sky seemed to unfurl a scroll.
Within the scroll, Spiritual Mist fell like waterfalls, Immortal Mountains layered upon each other, Qiong Buildings and jade pavilions half-hidden among the clouds and mist, ancient heaven-reaching trees draped with hanging vines, strange flowers and rare herbs blooming with hazy radiance.
At the same time, white Immortal Cranes flew in the Ninth Heaven, and Spirit Deer walked beside mountain streams.
It was a true Immortal Blessed Land.
But at this moment, in Jiang Ning’s eyes there was only one figure within the scroll.
An old man, white hair like silver threads, calm eyes as deep as an abyss, robes billowing as he stood upon the mountain peak.
“My Yingzhou—do you think you can simply come when you wish, and leave when you please?”
The old man spoke slowly.
His voice suddenly rolled like heavenly thunder, ringing out in unison from all directions.
“An Immortal!!” Jiang Ning’s heart sank, his gaze grew grave.
The next moment.
The other world that had unfurled like a scroll in the sky above expanded madly.
In a heartbeat, the vast sky above the Immortal Mountains reflected that other world.
The two worlds intersected, invisible power diffusing.
The void shook, heaven and earth twisted, Immortal Mountains collapsed, the land tore apart.
That seemingly frozen time and space now began to regain its flow.
Then, the old man standing atop the peak slowly extended a finger.
From his lofty vantage, he stretched that finger down toward Jiang Ning below.
“Jiang Ning, if you were in the outer world, I could do nothing to you—but you should never have come to my Dao Field!”
The old man’s voice rang out once more.
As if heavenly might had begun its judgment.
Then.
Heaven and earth changed suddenly.
His fingertip reached out, expanding madly.
In an instant, it was like a heavenly pillar slowly descending.
Before that finger, the void tore like thin paper, spanning across heaven and earth.
It appeared above the Immortal Mountain.
In that moment, Jiang Ning’s body sank.
He felt a terrifying pressure far surpassing that of all opponents he had faced before.
