Grinding Cultivation Toward Martial Saint
Chapter 1903 - 206: Return of the True Spirit, Seeking the Truth
The dragon chariot carried Ji Minghao and Xie Xun swiftly towards Prince Pingjian Mansion.
On the dragon chariot, Xie Xun’s gaze slightly focused.
"Holy Emperor, I hold a different opinion!"
"Speak!" Ji Minghao replied calmly.
"Holy Emperor might consider that, with the Martial Saint’s passing, major events have consecutively occurred. That Sword Immortal, Wang Yu of the Nine Heavens, and other beings of the Upper Three Days, all the Great Cave Heaven Blessed Lands; the entire world has long been undercurrents surging! All factions have long been restless. Who can guarantee that it is not someone deliberately framing, sowing discord between the Holy Emperor and King Luoshui?"
Xie Xun poured out his thoughts all at once.
Hearing these words, Ji Minghao’s gaze slightly focused in silence.
Xie Xun continued, "Holy Emperor might consider that earlier at the court meeting, King Luoshui voluntarily requested Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, gold and silver mundane things, as a concession. If he truly intended to distance himself from the Holy Emperor, would he do such things?"
"Moreover, Holy Emperor might consider that everyone in the Royal City knows the relationship between Princess Mingyue and King Luoshui, the Holy Emperor should not fall for others’ conspiracies."
Hearing these words, Ji Minghao nodded with a deep gaze.
"I will consider it!"
"Holy Emperor is wise!" Xie Xun replied.
"Holy Emperor, shall we still go to Prince Pingjian Mansion?" he asked again.
"Proceed! Uncle Wang encountered misfortune, I must go see." Ji Minghao replied calmly.
Then, the dragon chariot carried Ji Minghao and Xie Xun swiftly towards Prince Pingjian Mansion.
The wheels rolled over the bluestone road, moving past the palace gates, through the Vermilion Bird Gate.
...
Approximately thirty minutes later.
The dragon chariot came to a slow stop in front of Prince Pingjian Mansion.
Ji Minghao clasped the Human Emperor Sword, stepping down from the dragon chariot.
At this moment, the entrance was guarded by a stern Forbidden Army.
"Greetings, Holy Emperor!"
"Greetings, Holy Emperor!"
"Greetings, Holy Emperor!"
"..."
As Ji Minghao descended from the dragon chariot, the Forbidden Army at the entrance collectively knelt on one knee, saluting Ji Minghao.
"Open the door!" Ji Minghao commanded solemnly, holding the Human Emperor Sword.
"Yes, my lord!" A commander immediately stood up and opened the sealed mansion doors.
The next moment.
Ji Minghao raised his leg onto the steps, crossed the threshold, entering Prince Pingjian Mansion.
What met his eyes were several tranquil-faced bodies lying on the ground, devoid of life.
"Holy Emperor, when our forces arrived at the mansion, it was already like this!" A head of the Imperial Guards followed Ji Minghao, speaking lowly.
Ji Minghao nodded, silent, and continued forward.
"Holy Emperor, Prince Wang Yu of the Nine Heavens is in the backyard." The head of the Imperial Guards continued quietly.
"Lead the way." Ji Minghao’s gaze focused, his grip on the Human Emperor Sword slightly tight.
"Yes!" The head of the Imperial Guards bowed in compliance.
Then turned to lead the way, passing through the front yard, bypassing the corridor, into the depths of the mansion.
Along the way, occasionally one or two bodies could be seen, the scene utterly untouched.
Ji Minghao merely glanced around briefly, his steps unwavering.
"Holy Emperor, what remarkable methods!" Xie Xun, who followed, suddenly spoke softly.
"Hmm!" Ji Minghao also nodded, uttering a slight sound.
Moments later.
The head of the Imperial Guards stopped at the backyard entrance of the mansion.
"Holy Emperor, Prince Wang Yu of the Nine Heavens is inside, I dare not enter presumptuously." The head of the Imperial Guards bowed.
Ji Minghao’s gaze darkened.
"Lead the way!" he commanded sternly.
"Yes, Holy Emperor!" The head of the Imperial Guards’ heart trembled, immediately responding.
Then proceeded into the backyard.
Inside the yard.
Silence reigned, the air stifling.
Stepping into the backyard.
Ji Minghao immediately saw Wang Yu in a purple robe, standing with hands behind his back beside the lake.
Next to Wang Yu were the attendants who followed him the previous night.
One was using an Ancient Mirror, constantly illuminating the surroundings, while another held a small ceramic figure, continuously pinching spells, occasionally drawing wisps of white light into the ceramic figure.
Sensing the movement behind him.
Wang Yu turned around, seeing Ji Minghao approaching.
"Prince Wang Yu arrived rather early." Ji Minghao said, his face showing a slight smile.
"Emperor does me too much honor!" Wang Yu turned and saluted Ji Minghao, also wearing a faint smile, "I just arrived and encountered such matters, I naturally know this can easily cause misunderstanding, so I must contribute my efforts."
"Oh, how so?" Ji Minghao walked towards Wang Yu, holding the Human Emperor Sword.
Wang Yu smiled slightly, "The death of Prince Pingjian, Ji Xuan, inevitably leads some to suspect me! After all, the Emperor’s Uncle Royal, once the second under heaven, who can surpass him is few in number, and those who could kill him, even fewer! From a power perspective, I am naturally a key suspect."
Hearing Wang Yu’s forthright words, Ji Minghao’s gaze remained somber.
After a brief consideration, Ji Minghao slowly began speaking.
"Prince Wang Yu, direct and particularly candid!"
Then he slightly raised his tone, "Indeed, I did initially suspect you, yet your current statement dispels my doubts."
Wang Yu smiled wryly.
"I cannot fully trust the Emperor’s words! I also understand that mere words are insufficient for convincing others, thus I had my attendants gather the spirit of Prince Pingjian."
"Spirit?" Ji Minghao was surprised.
His gaze turned towards Wang Yu’s still-busy attendants.
One was holding the Ancient Mirror, constantly illuminating the surroundings.
Another held the ceramic figure with the left hand, right hand pinching spells, occasionally drawing wisps of spirit light into the ceramic figure.
"This is...?" Ji Minghao’s expression was astonished.
Wang Yu said, "The Emperor must know, the origin of a person is their True Spirit."
Ji Minghao nodded.
Seeing this, Wang Yu continued, "When I came here earlier, I already investigated, Prince Pingjian Ji Xuan has died in this courtyard, his bones vanished. However, as the death was recent, the True Spirit hasn’t completely scattered, hasn’t yet merged into the River of Time, as long as a sufficient amount of True Spirit is gathered, Prince Pingjian Ji Xuan can disclose the truth himself."
