Chapter 2654: Lack Of Timeline.

Even if these gods succeed in fusing completely with the two pathways, it wouldn’t change the fact that Legion possessed the authority of the pathway of the undying, which made them incredibly difficult or even impossible to kill. So Legion was still able to survive and thrive despite the exposure of their capabilities.

Legion had the power to slowly accumulate the authorities they needed to create their Supreme authority. Unfortunately, every god that they should be able to kill chose to hide and disappear from the world, so Legion wasn’t able to find them.

The Legion of the past didn’t know why things became so bad for them, so they didn’t know how to solve their problem. This effectively cut off the path of Legion and made it nearly impossible for them to create their 13 authority Supreme authority, reconnect with their origin, and become an Absolute.

Things were bad for them in the past, but things were worse for the future Legion. Future Legion was facing an existential crisis because the past had changed.

Because of the changes to the past, the Legion of the future that was about to enslave the god of travelers should not exist anymore. So, the future Legion began to disappear.

It wasn’t only the Legion of the future that was disappearing, though. Every god and high god and mortal was also disappearing. This was because they had all lost the support of causality.

Everything that had happened in the past that led up to this moment no longer existed, so they can’t exist either. This was bad news for Legion, but it was good news for everyone else.

Every high god that was aware of what was going on sighed in relief, and some even had smiles on their face that their timeline would no longer exist. Only Legion had a grim look on their face.

The god of fate looked at Legion and said with a smirk, “Power is power. No amount of wriggling will be able to overcome power. You either have it, or you don’t. And clearly, you don’t have it.”

Legion ignored her and kept resisting. When every high god easily let go of their existence and disappeared without resistance, Legion kept fighting to exist.

Legion was able to keep themselves from disappearing because they were powerful and because they had the Invulnerability ultimate ability. But this is only a short-term solution. Once they run out of divine energy, they will be doomed.

The problem is that they shouldn’t exist at all. They have lost the foundation of their existence, so even if Legion can somehow continue to exist by using the Self Supremacy ultimate ability to adapt to the lack of a causal foundation, they would be the only ones here in existence.

They would be the only thing in existence and would be floating in a pool of nothingness. Legion didn’t want that to be their fate, and it was still uncertain that they could achieve this unfortunate fate, so they looked outward for a solution to their problem.

After thinking about their problem, they realized that there was only one person whom they knew could solve their problem. This person was the god of travelers. So they focused all of their power and energy on the god of travelers.

The tool they used to make the god of travelers help was the Virus ultimate ability. With no other god to interfere with them, they were easily able to make the black tide swallow the god of travelers. Then the black tide began the work of converting the god of travelers into a puppet.

While this was going on, the god of travelers laughed at them and said, “This is all futile. There is no solution to the disappearance of the timeline.”

The conversion of his existence into that of a puppet was very painful, but the god of travelers was still able to laugh and say, “There is nothing that you can do. The past has changed. You can’t exist anymore. You are done, and your reign of terror is over.”

Legion replied with eerie calmness, “You’re right that the past has been changed. You’re partially wrong to say that there is nothing we can do, and you’re completely wrong to say that there is no solution.”

Legion didn’t stop what they were doing, no matter what the god of travelers said. Before the timeline could disappear, they were able to convert the god of travelers into a puppet and used the Web of Control divine ability to enslave him.

Once they enslaved the god of travelers and began to support his existence, the timeline stopped breaking. This was because the god of travelers was the ultimate overseer of time. As long as he exists, the timeline will still continue to exist, and anything can happen with the River of Time.

It is just that Legion will have to support the existence of the entire timeline. This requires them to expend divine energy to support the timetime. The amount of divine energy they need is something they don’t possess at all, so this stability in the timeline is only temporary.

This was why Legion used Gestalt Mind to fuse their mind with the mind of the god of travelers. This copied their minds onto the mind of the god of travelers and made him become their avatar.

After doing all of these, they used the Life Siphon divine ability and the Life Bond divine ability to give the god of travelers all of their divine energy. Then they let the god of travelers go.

Once he regained his freedom, the god of travelers activated the Run Back divine ability again and began reversing time. This time, Legion didn’t resist him. They even committed suicide in order to free the god of travelers from any resistance that their existence might create.

Without Legion and the other high gods holding the god of travelers back, his speed was very fast. He became able to easily rewind time.
