Chapter 2644: To Be Accused.

They remember the first time that they saw this kind of chain. It was during their first meeting with the primogenitor of the void universe.

The chains with the three runes had been binding the primogenitor of the void universe. The same was the case here. The chains with the three runes were also binding the giant black bird. There were even the special spikes nailing the chains across what was left of the giant bird.

As they got closer and closer to the bound and incomplete giant bird, they were able to see more details that reminded them of their past, or to be exact, their future meeting with the primogenitor of the void universe.

What they saw made all of Legion become silent as they focused on digesting everything that they were seeing and experiencing. Their thoughts hadn’t slowed down as they had during the meeting with the primogenitor of the void universe, but their mental prowess still felt inadequate in their quest to understand what was going on.

They have recognized the identity of this giant bird as the original creator of the pathway of telepathy. But they want t o know about it and its situation.

They want to know why it is here. They have their suspicions, but they want to confirm who it was that put the creator of the pathway of telepathy in this situation.

They come from the future, so they know that this world was built by the Supreme being called the Lord of Madness. They also have the memories of the god of dreams, so they know that someone had attacked the previous civilization and destroyed it.

After seeing the three colored chains and remembering what the primogenitor of the void universe had said about the identity of the person who bound him, they can confidently bet that the person who destroyed the previous civilization in the spiritual dimension and placed the original creator of the pathway of telepathy is the Lord of Madness.

In fact, they were not surprised by this sight after coming to the conclusion that all of these were caused by the Lord of Madness. After all, they already know that the path of power of godclads was created by cutting up the original gods into pieces for humans to use to acquire power.

As they were thinking about this and many other things, they realized that despite the sorry state of this incomplete being, it was still alive. They also realized that even though it didn’t have its eye, it was able to see them, and it was also able to recognize them.

It even spoke to them. It said, shouting angrily at them, “You beast. What have you come for this time around? Have you come to cut me up for fun again? Have you not had enough of tormenting me?”

Legion thought about the situation before they asked, “Have you mistaken me for someone else?”

Their action caused the giant bird to shout angrily at them as it said, “Curse you. May your days not be well. May the rest of your days be filled with pain as you have made mine.”

“You are the one who placed me here and the only one who has ever come to me. No matter how you torture me or blind me, I can recognize you without a doubt. How can I forget the greatest evil of my life? I can even smell the stench of your power on you.”

“What do you mean, have I mistaken you for someone else? Have you come to see if my mind has gone too far to do something so simple? Curse you. I curse you with all of my heart. May misfortune always be your companion for the rest of your existence.”

They tried to chat amicably with the giant blind bird in order to gain useful information from it. But it didn’t answer any of their questions. It just cursed at them with all of its might and with unparalleled sincerity.

After screaming in anger at them for a while, the three colored chains began to glow. Then the chains began to shrink and constrict the giant black bird. This made it scream in pain.

As it cried out in pain, it shouted at them, “Just kill me. Please kill me. Please end this suffering. Please kill me.”

Its voice was tragic. It was similar to the sound of an entire world of people dying. But the pain of the giant bird only got worse because the chain continued to constrict it.

The constricting chains shrank the giant bird from the size of a continent into something smaller than the size of a house. During this process, the giant bird was contorted and crushed in painful ways, so it screamed and cried out in pain during the whole process.

Eventually, the three colored chains crushed the giant black bird into a tiny ball of grey translucent energy the size of a fist. At this point, there were no more screams of pain.

The ball of grey energy was still being bound by the three colored chains, but the will and consciousness of the giant black bird had also been crushed, so it didn’t feel pain anymore, and even if it felt pain, it surely couldn’t cry out anymore.

The tiny grey ball of energy flew over to them like a wobbly firefly and entered their body. It fused with them and infused a flood of energy and power into their existence. It made them feel immensely powerful.

What they were feeling was something that other high gods had experienced before. It was the feeling of all the power of the pathway being at their disposal. It was the feeling of becoming the high god of a pathway.

There was just a slight difference between their situation and what other high gods experienced. The most important difference was the fact that they could sense the three colored chains within them.

Or to be exact, the three colored chains had always been within the authority of telepathy. Since they have now fused completely with the pathway, the three colored chains also became a part of them.
