Chapter 2635: Suppression Of Knowledge.

His voice was hurried as he said, “So the god of telepathy won’t stop just because he has acquired the authority of dreams and the authority of illusion. This is why he is trying to kill the god of nobles. He won’t stop until he gains all of these pathways. If we don’t stop him, he will become too powerful.”

This was all that he could say before his mind was bombarded by the attacks of the virtual copy, and he was struggling to stay alive. But what he said was enough to create an uproar.

Since the cat was already out of the bag and since the god that they were waiting for had appeared, Legion decided to stop holding back. They decided to quickly kill the god of nobles and the god of justice.

The god of knowledge could still barely hold on because he was a high god and because his ultimate ability had dampened a lot of the power of their attacks on him.

The god of knowledge knew a lot about them and the pathway of telepathy, so his resistance to mental attacks was very high. This prevented him from dying instantly to their attacks.

Unfortunately for him, the Leverage of Knowledge was failing because of the counterattack of the Self Supremacy ultimate ability. The offensive power of their attacks was increasing because of the Self Supremacy ultimate ability, while the resistance granted by the Leverage of Knowledge remained stagnant.

The disparity between them was because the Self Supremacy seemed to be capable of increasing the effectiveness of their attacks indefinitely, and only needed enough divine energy to work, while the Leverage of Knowledge needed new knowledge in order to increase its resistance.

Since the god of knowledge wasn’t gaining new knowledge about them, he couldn’t increase his resistance to their attacks. Meanwhile, the Self Supremacy ultimate ability was constantly increasing the offensive power of the attacks of the god of telepathy, so the gap between them was quickly narrowing.

Even a fool could guess that they would be overwhelmed soon. So someone as smart as the god of knowledge was able to discover this, and even accurately how long he had left to live.

What he calculated made the god of knowledge shocked to his core. He couldn’t believe that not only was the god of telepathy so powerful, but also that the god of telepathy possessed an ability that could neutralize his ultimate ability.

He couldn’t help but say, “I have miscalculated thoroughly this time around.”

“Not only was I wrong about his strength, but I was also wrong about his response to how I knew his goals, and I was even more blindsided by his possession of such an ability that can neutralize my Leverage of Knowledge. If I didn’t know any better, I would think that he was the god of travelers.”

“The only way out for me now is to use my rank 10 Ability Replication divine ability, learn this ability that can neutralize the Leverage of Knowledge divine ability. If I can learn it, not only would I be able to save my life, but I might even be able to turn things around.”

“Fortunately, no one knows that I have the Ability Replication divine ability. If I can use it to learn this secret weapon and combine it with the Leverage of Knowledge ultimate ability, I might become unstable.”

He was dying, but the god of knowledge still had time to think and scheme. The god of nobles and the god of justice weren’t so lucky.

One attack of theirs was enough to kill the god of justice and the god of nobles. These two gods, who have always hated each other and tried to kill each other many times in the past, died together, wishing that the other would live on.

They killed the god of nobles in order to get the Crown of Nobility from him. As for the god of justice, they killed him in order to gain his memories and find out where he is hiding the authority of the pathway of knights called the Sword of Man.

After the two of them died, the god of knowledge chose to run away. He was running away so that the virtual body wouldn’t be able to attack him anymore.

By creating distance between them, only the Mind Plague divine ability would be able to continue to attack him. Once he narrows down the attacks he has to deal with to one, he will be able to deal with this lone attack better and have spare energy to learn the Self Supremacy ultimate ability.

Unfortunately for him, the effect of the Self Supremacy ultimate ability is obvious for him to see, and the Self Supremacy ultimate ability isn’t working directly on him. This is making his quest to learn it very difficult, if not impossible to see.

The god of knowledge must see something before he can learn it. This is why the pathway of seers is adjacent to the pathway of knowledge and why blinding the god of knowledge is a weakness of his. The Ability Replication divine ability also requires him to see an ability or experience personally before he can learn it.

Unfortunately for him, the Self Supremacy ultimate ability only works on Legion themselves. The increase in the offensive power of their attacks is just a side effect of the adaptation that has happened within Legion because of the Self Supremacy ultimate ability.

The Self Supremacy ultimate ability doesn’t affect the target directly, and since he can’t see the effect or experience it, the god of knowledge can’t learn it. Even borrowing the mind of every mage in existence to increase his intelligence can’t help him solve this problem.

Legion saw the god of knowledge flee and thought about stopping him. They thought about using the Mindscape to directly attack this mind, regardless of distance.

This kind of attack using the Mindscape will be the same way that the god of dreams had been able to attack the dream island of anyone that he had met.
