Chapter 2624: A Change In The Situation.

As time reversed, the god of history used the backwards flow of events to enhance the power of the Shout To The Past ultimate ability and sent back his memories of everything that had happened along the flow of time.

After doing this, he relaxed and gave up resisting the reversal of time. He stopped resisting because there was no need for him to.

He even smiled at the god of travelers and said, “Thank you for saving me, my friend.”

The god of travelers acknowledged him by nodding at him. But the god of travelers didn’t stop for anything. He continued to focus on his run.

Yhe god of travelers was truly too busy trying to push time back. His work was made further difficult by all the high gods in existence.

Every high god in existence made it more difficult for time to flow backwards. Each of their existence served as a stumbling block in his path that served as resistance to the power of his ultimate ability.

As for weaker gods like the god of nobles, the god of disaster, and the god of telepathy, they were of no consequence to his goal. They were not even aware of what was going on. So they went with the flow easily.

No one who has not fused completely with their pathway can be aware of the backwards flow of time. This is because their existence isn’t tied down by their authority like an anchor.

This is usually true. But there is a change in the situation this time around.

The change in the situation comes from the god of telepathy, whom he had dismissed. This change occurred because Legion had successfully fused with the Ocean of Blood.

The reversal of time has occurred many times since Legion came to this period of time. They simply hadn’t noticed it because they weren’t powerful enough to. But after fusing with the Ocean of Blood and gaining four sources of divinity, their existence became heavy enough to be aware of this time around.

Other gods needed their authority as an anchor to stabilize their existence in the flow of time and drag them back to their proper place in time, but Legion became aware of the reversal of time all on their own. This has its advantages and disadvantages.

A normal god with ten souls will have a power of (10,240 × 10 Souls) Raw Power × (10 Souls x 10 Divine Fragments × 100 Divinity) Total Divinity, which is equal to 10,240 × 10^5, and goes to create a power output of 1.0 × 10^9.

The possession of ten souls is the minimum requirement needed to become a high god. So once such a god advances to the level of a high god, their power is multiplied by the number of souls that they have, which is ten in this case. This brings the minimum power of a high god to 10,240 × 10^6, which is 1.024 × 10^10.

In comparison, Legion started out with the power of 12 souls. So the power they had when they first became a god was 10,240 × 12^5, which is 2.55 × 10^9.

After they became the god of four pathways, their power became 2.54 × 10^9 × 4, which is 1.019 × 10^10. This kind of power is very close to the power of a high god, which is why they were able to sense that time was being reversed on their own without the assistance of their authority.

The disadvantage of this situation is that they are still too weak and can’t resist the backward flow of time at all. Without an authority to serve as their anchor, there is nothing they can do except watch time move in reverse and have their mind be eroded by the process.

The advantage of becoming aware of the situation without the help of their authority is that their awareness of the situation is not dependent on their authority.

The fact that their awareness of the situation is independent of their authority is important because when the authorities of other gods failed them, they can still be aware, and they will still have another source of strength to resist.

Right now, they still don’t have enough strength to withstand the reverse flow of time on their own. But since they are not using their authorities to be aware, they can use their authorities to resist the force pulling them backwards.

High gods can only rely on their authorities, while they can rely on themselves and their authorities. In this case, the authority they chose to rely on was the authority of the pathway of undying.

They activated the invulnerable ultimate ability to resist the force pulling them backwards. This caused a golden shield to appear around them. The golden shield separated them from the world around them, so the force pulling them backwards couldn’t affect them anymore.

As the world moved on, they stayed in place. No one saw them because they had become independent of reality. So not even the god of travelers was able to sense the anomaly.

They weren’t strong enough to resist the force pulling them, but the Invulnerable ultimate ability created some distance between them and the force, so the force stopped having an effect on them. After all, no matter how strong something is, if it can’t affect them or touch them, it won’t be able to harm them.

This ability is one of the reasons why no one has been able to take the authority of undying and become the god of undying. No one has been able to capture the Everlasting Gemstone and subdue it because it has always been running away.

Legion is using the Everlasting Gemstone to avoid the reversal of time this time around. It is successfully to some extent, but this is not the end of their problems.

The main problem for now is that there is a limit to how long the Invulnerable ultimate ability can keep them separated from the reversing flow of time.
