Chapter 2619: True Plan.

Even though the mental world that the empty mind had created was destroyed, the empty mind construct was still trying to fuse the minds of the two of them. But the method it was using now had changed.

The half of the empty mind in the mind of the god of history was copying the memories of the god of history and fusing it with the mind of the god of history, while the other half of the empty mind in the mind of the god of knowledge is copying the memories of the god of history and fusing them with the mind of the god of knowledge.

In a way, the empty mind is now brainwashing the two of them with the other person’s mind. Whoever can withstand the brainwashing the longest will be the final winner.

If one of them dies during this process, the mind of the one who dies will smash into the mind of the living one and fuse with it by force. Until an outcome is determined, the minds of the two of them will remain connected.

While the situation might seem fair, it is not really fair. The god of knowledge is at an advantage because he can assimilate large amounts of information and knowledge easily compared to the god of history.

Not only that, the god of knowledge has shared his knowledge with the godclads in his pathway and can use their minds to gain more knowledge or withstand the stress of knowledge. So the god of knowledge can always produce more memories to brainwash the god of history, while also being capable of withstanding more brainwashing.

The process by which the empty mind is trying to fuse their minds together is similar to the activity of the Knowledge Barrage attack. So the two of them are constantly attacking each other’s minds.

With their memories. Whoever breaks first will be the loser.

Unlike the previous method of fusion, the winner here will gain everything belonging to the other one. So if the god of knowledge wins this struggle, he won’t lose anything, while the god of history will lose everything and gain nothing.

The god of history has been able to determine all of these, including the fact that he is at a disadvantage. He was also able to figure out that the god of knowledge had said those things intentionally to make the summons work hard in breaking the virtual mental world for him.

It is clear that the god of knowledge had planned for everything. So all the god of history wanted to do was to escape and prevent this unfortunate situation from ever happening. But the god of knowledge wasn’t going to let him have his way.

The god of knowledge quickly attacked the god of history with the divine abilities that he had copied earlier. The god of history tried to defend himself, but his mind was now sluggish, so his actions were slow.

All of these caused the attack of the god of knowledge to successfully harm the god of history. The two of them felt the pain of the injury, but the god of knowledge was able to control his mind and withstand the pain better than the god of history.

Despite the pain, the god of knowledge attacked the god of history again. It was clear that he wanted to kill the god of history and was confident that he would be able to withstand the sudden influx of memories that would occur in his mind when the god of history dies.

On the other side, the god of history wasn’t confident in being able to withstand the mind of the god of knowledge if he killed the god of knowledge. So not only was he at a disadvantage in defending himself, but he also couldn’t take the initiative to kill the god of knowledge, despite being more powerful.

The best that the god of history could do was try to escape. But even if he managed to escape, this would only delay the inevitable.

This is because, as time goes on, the fusion of half of the empty mind with his mind will only make his mind slower and slower. Eventually, his mind will break down. What the god of knowledge is trying to do by killing him is just to speed up the process of fusion.

His only means to escape is to change the past, but the god of knowledge is not allowing that to happen. The god of knowledge sealed off every divine ability that he could use to escape. If nothing changes, the god of history will surely die.

The god of travelers didn’t see all of these happen, but he knew that they were happening. This was because he had seen it happen before.

The god of travelers was roaming the world, seeing and learning all that he came across. His figure was a blur even to the gods, so very few people noticed what he was doing.

After a while, he sighed and said, “This is the farthest I’ve traveled in time.”

As he passed by, he saw a white tower. It wasn’t the true body of the authority of knowledge. This white tower was the phantom body of the authority of knowledge that the god of knowledge shares with the godclads of his pathway.

As he passed by, he saw that the white towers had closed and no mage was moving around. The god of travelers was curious, so he decided to take a look at what was happening within the tower.

The white tower is closed, so no one should be able to enter it. Of course, such an obstruction can’t block a god from entering. If a god wants to enter the white tower, they can just break down the doors or walls in their way.

But he didn’t use brute force to gain entry into the tower. He used his rank 10 divine ability called Pathfinder. This divine ability caused the wall to split, and a phantom path to appear in the wall for him.
