GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2552: God Of Machinery.

Chapter 2552: God Of Machinery.

The maximum power of their divine body and divine soul is 122,880. But they’ve only reached 108,911, so they still have some way to go before they reach the limit of their power.

This made Legion say to themselves, “Just one more and we can let loose.”

With their mind made up, they intensified their attack on the god of machinery. As they did so, they said to themselves, “Go now, the god of machinery. I have already avenged your shame at the hands of those two wayward godlings. So there is nothing left for you in this world.”

The god of machinery is currently hiding in a large factory that he built somewhere deep underground. This factory is not running right now because there is nothing for it to do. But the factory is being protected by powerful golems with enough power to rival some gods.

Golems can run on their own and don’t need active control like puppets. This way, even though the god of machinery is not able to oversee the situation, the golems can still protect the factory.

The factory is highly defended. So even though the god of machinery is in a compromised state and can’t protect himself, it won’t be easy to get to him and kill him.

Unfortunately for him, the attacker bypassed all of his physical defenses and struck at his mind. His mind also happens to be his weakness right now, so he was in double trouble.

The god of machinery used to be very powerful. He had 7 souls, which placed his power above average among gods. But this wasn’t enough for him, so he created a church.

He had mastered the ultimate ability of his pathway completely. Unfortunately, he didn’t have 10 souls, so he couldn’t fuse with his pathway completely and take the next step to become a high god.

In order to solve the dilemma of lacking souls, he resorted to using faith to make up for his weakness. He created a church and used the power of faith to create three artificial souls.

The three artificial souls can hold divine fragments, so they can increase his power. This way, he will have a total of ten souls and can successfully fuse with his pathway completely.

The best part is that his normal souls are 7 in number, which is more than twice the number of the artificial souls, so there is no way that the artificial souls will take over his body and turn him into a puppet for his believers.

All he had to ensure was that the minimum amount of faith that he received was enough to maintain the three souls. As long as he didn’t become greedy and didn’t create more artificial souls, the three artificial souls would be easy to maintain, so even large losses to his believers wouldn’t cripple him and make him lose control like the god of killing.

Everything worked well for the god of machinery. He got the ten souls that he needed to fuse completely with the pathway, and he began the process of fusion after making sure that he had more than enough believers to maintain the three artificial souls.

Unfortunately for him, he failed at the last step of fusing with the pathway. Apparently, he wasn’t skilled enough.

He was supposed to battle the residual will of the original owner of the pathway. The residual will would fight him with the divine abilities of his pathway, and if he won, he would destroy the residual will and fuse completely with the pathway.

But despite possessing the same divine abilities as the original owner of the pathway, he still lost that fight. So the residual will of the original owner of the pathway began waking up within him.

What will happen to him is that he will lose control. He didn’t want to do that, so he began fighting with the residual will of the original god of the pathway for control of his body.

He hasn’t lost this fight for control of his body, but he hasn’t been able to do anything else ever since. This is why he can’t move, why he didn’t do anything to stop the rise of the god of steam and the god of electricity, and also why he couldn’t have saved his subordinate gods even if he knew that Legion was coming to attack them beforehand.

His situation is currently bad, but Legion is making things worse by attacking his mind.

He roared at Legion in his mind, “Help me and I’ll give you anything you want.”

Legion said to him, “The only thing useful about you is your body. I don’t want anything else.”

The god of machinery said with agitation, “I can give you other divine bodies if you help me. I’ll do anything you want. Please help me.”

He was anxious because his control over his body was rapidly decreasing as the Mind Plague wreaked havoc on his mind. He can see his life slipping away little by little, and there is nothing that he can do to stop it.

At this moment, not only does he need Legion to stop attacking him, but he will also need Legion to help him defeat the residual will of the original owner of the pathway in his mind.

He is willing to do anything to gain Legion’s help. Legion can confirm that the god of machinery is sincere, but they don’t have any interest in helping him.

The god of machinery roared in anger and said, “Fuck you. Fuck you.”

As he cursed at Legion, he stopped holding back. This caused divinity from the authority of his pathway. This increased his power rapidly and also increased the corruption of the residual will of the original owner of the pathway.

He said with venomous bitterness, “I hope you die.”

He has given up completely. Thanks to this, he can move again. Unfortunately, he isn’t the one controlling his body anymore.
