Chapter 2463: Negotiation Tactics.
Legion said to the 15 of them, “I have already met the advancement requirement, so it is only a matter of time before I become an angel. You can’t stop me forever. Rather than delaying me now, you should help me advance so that I can block the angel for good.”
But no matter what they said, everyone still claimed that they didn’t have the divine flesh.
In fact, one of them said, “Instead of being greedy for something we don’t have, you should come help us stop the angel now, or is you becoming an angel more important than this angel becoming a god?”
The answer to that question was that Legion didn’t want that angel to gain control of the Mind Palace, so Legion decided to change their request.
But instead of asking for what they wanted like they did last time, they asked the demigods for the rank 9 divine flesh that they have. They would then pick the divine flesh that they wanted from the options of rank 9 divine flesh that are available.
They did this in order to make sure that the demigod telepaths wouldn’t claim that they didn’t have what Legion wanted. The demigod telepaths also knew this to be the reason, so they didn’t know what to do.
They surely didn’t want to help Legion grow stronger, but they also couldn’t say that they didn’t have any rank 9 divine flesh, as that would show that they didn’t have any sincerity and didn’t want to give Legion anything.
The demigods also didn’t want to lose their precious rank 9 divine flesh. So they began arguing with Legion about their request.
While the two sides were arguing, the angel had already taken advantage of the situation to launch an attack. The demigods had to fight him to stall him while they waited for Legion to come and help them.
It was impossible for them to win against the angel, and all they were doing was buying time, but Legion refused to come until their demands were met. This put a lot of pressure on the demigods.
They thought that Legion was doing this in order to force them to capitulate. But the main reason why Legion was absent was because they were advancing to rank 9 of the pathway of telepathy and didn’t have the time to help people.
They had lied when they asked for the rank 9 flesh of the pathway of telepathy. The truth is that they already got one from their brainwashed slave and had begun to assimilate it as soon as they retreated when the angel arrived.
They had lied to the demigods about what they wanted in order to misdirect them and make them feel a sense of peace that Legion wasn’t going to become an angel of telepathy soon.
Their second demand was real, though. If the demigod telepath offered something that they needed, such as the divine flesh of the pathway of slavery, the pathway of killing, or the pathway of undying.
But the demigod telepaths were being insincere, so Legion decided to see how far they were willing to go before they gave up.
While the fighting was going on, Legion was advancing. During this process, the minds of nine of the demigods that they had brainwashed were taken and fused with the nine divine flesh in their bodies to create nine avatars and one main body.
The next step for them is to defeat their avatars. Without doing so, they won’t have the power and advantage of becoming an angel.
In their current state, they only have their increased spiritual power as an angel. But without the amplification of their avatars, they won’t be able to use their divine abilities or liberate their divine form. This will make their power at least nine times weaker than those of other angels.
For angels of telepathy, subduing their avatars can be very easy, or it can be very difficult, even bordering on being impossible. This is because of the presence of the avatar with the Gesalt divine ability and the absence of any divine ability for the main body to use.
In some pathways, like the pathway of killing, there are only eight avatars and one main body. All nine of them hold one of their nine divine abilities, so the main body has one divine ability.
This situation gives the angel of killing an equal chance of victory with the other avatars. Since they have one divine ability, they can at least contend with the other avatars.
But the main body of the angels of telepathy don’t have any divine ability. This makes it very difficult to contend with the other avatars.
On the other hand, the avatar with the Gesalt divine ability can bind the minds of other avatars and the mind of the mind-body with his and fuse these minds together.
This rank 9 divine ability can only be defended by the Mind Armament divine ability. The rest of the avatars and the main body are vulnerable to it. This makes it easy for the avatar with the Gesalt divine ability to win.
So in most cases, it is the avatar with the Gesalt divine ability that wins the struggle and fuses the mind of every avatar and the main body into one. The end product is a being that is a combination of the original telepath and the nine minds that they brainwashed.
This is the easy option. It happens quickly and is nearly impossible to stop. Some consider it a form of death to become a complete angel with this method, while others consider it a form of ascension.
Whichever one thinks, this outcome is nearly impossible to stop. The only way to stop it is if the main body has an innate talent that can make them contend with the other avatars.
If the main body can quickly defeat the other avatars and advance in strength faster than the avatar with the Gesalt Mind divine ability, then they will be able to maintain the integrity of their minds.
