Chapter 2436: A Lot Of Good News.
Legion was tired after the battle they just had. But when they received the feedback from these two entities, their mood was uplifted and their tiredness was swept away.
Legion-2 became excited as he said, “So we can use the divine flesh to sense the ocean of blood and the remnant of the god of killing? No wonder he didn’t want us to gain control of it.”
Legion-4 whistled and said, “He messed up badly. If I were him, I would be very angry right now.”
Legion-8, on the other hand, marveled at something else. He said, “I can’t believe that the god of killing is not completely dead. I wonder what he is thinking about right now.”
The half-god was indeed very angry. It was one thing to lose control of his divine flesh to some demigod. But it was worse when that demigod became able to sense his location through it.
This is something that has never happened before because anyone who tried to subdue the divine flesh always failed and experienced a backlash from his spiritual power that destroyed their souls.
But this time, things didn’t go his way because he encountered someone with a lot of spiritual energy. If he were in his peak and whole state, Legion would have stood no chance at all.
However, in his current state, he only has his powerful spiritual power. Unfortunately, he can’t use this powerful spiritual power for long because his soul can’t recover spiritual energy easily and because his soul is fragile.
The lack of spiritual energy recovery meant that there was no way to fight for long periods of time, while the fragile soul meant that even if he had spiritual energy to continue fighting, he had to give up on fighting, or his soul would scatter.
All of these things made him lose the endurance match. The loss made him angry, but what made him angrier was the death of the rank 7 killer he was counting on so much.
He believes that Legion is dead and doesn’t believe that it was Legion who subdued the divine flesh. This is because he doesn’t know that Legion is also a slave master.
What he knows of Legion is that he is a killer and a rank 7 one at that. So he doesn’t think that the rank 8 slaver is Legion. This misconception is further enhanced by the fact that he suddenly stopped sensing Legion when Legion entered the Hydra Kingdom.
The Hydra Kingdom is the territory of a powerful slave master, so it is not surprising that Legion died or was enslaved there and a demigod slave master suddenly appeared next to the divine flesh that was supposed to be in Legion.
The half-god concluded that Legion had been killed and the divine flesh that was supposed to be within him was taken and subdued. This made him so angry that he sent people from the Blood Cult to go to the Hydra Kingdom and cause trouble for them.
Legion, on the other side, was in a good mood. They have many reasons to be in a good mood.
The first good news is that Sir Edwin has acquired enough gold to make their physical body as powerful as that of an angel. This kind of power will pair nicely with their liberated divine form and make it even stronger.
They didn’t ask him to stop, though. They asked him to continue stealing gold so that he would reach the limit of what godclads can achieve without becoming God’s. That way, they will have less to fear from the angel of slavery.
The second piece of good news is that their other slaves are now in place to attack the cities of the Hydra kingdom from every direction and start a massacre that will feed into their rank 6 Bloodthirsty divine ability and enhance their spiritual power.
If they can reach the limit in terms of physical and spiritual power, then they will have nothing to worry about from the angel of slavery even if they face all of her slaves.
But they didn’t let their slaves begin to attack yet. They wanted to wait until they’d strengthened themselves to the limit before they made their move on the Hydra Kingdom and the angel of slavery.
While they were waiting, they found the location of the rank 7 slave of the angel of slavery. If they attacked him, they would be able to get the flesh they need to advance the undying pathway to rank 8.
But just like before, they didn’t make any move yet. They were still waiting on Sir Edwin to make them stronger, and they were waiting on their virtual copies to help them brainwash enough people to make them advance to rank 8 of the pathway of telepathy.
Besides, they have other options of illusionists that they can focus on for now. The virtual copy that they had sent to look for the illusionist at the address that the legendary telepaths from the Mind Hunters gave them actually found the target.
This surprised them because they didn’t expect the legendary telepaths to actually give them a real address. They expected the legendary telepaths to lie to them and make them waste their time.
This made Legion-12 say to the others, “Maybe I was wrong about them. They aren’t so bad.”
But as the virtual copy got close to the illusionist to take over their mind, Legion sensed danger. This warning came from the Predict divine ability, not their Danger Sense divine ability. This meant that the danger wasn’t immediate to their main body.
So whatever was going on wasn’t going to harm their real body directly. But it was dangerous enough for the Predict divine ability to sense something off about it.
This made Legion-12 take back his words and say, “I was wrong. They are as shitty as I thought they were.”
What he said made the other clones chuckle in amusement.
