This much progress is so because they are using it every time. They are always using it to snoop on the minds of their slaves and keep track of what they are doing and thinking.

When they thought of the fear of a slave escaping from their control, they couldn’t help but curl their lips and chuckle.

Legion-4 said, “From today, there won’t be any chance of escaping.”

Legion-6 agreed and said, “We are one step closer to total dominion.”

As rank 3 slavers, their slaves still have free will. But their slaves won’t be able to ever escape once they use rank 3 Life Bond on them.

When they were rank 2, their slaves could escape if they died. But once Life Bond was used on their slaves, their slaves would die along with them if they die.

That’s just the passive effect of the Life Bond divine ability. The active effect of this ability is very interesting. It is why they are so eager to use the Life Bond ability as soon as possible.

But before they test the three new divine abilities that they are eager to try, they have a unanimous agreement to deal with the bloody art first.

They know that the heart is connected to a large network between the law bearers. They don’t want to leave it around for the lamp bearers to find. So they walked over to the box containing the bloody heart.

They are in a large underground basement. There are many kegs and boxes around them. The boxes contain things like books and divine flesh, while the kegs only contain energy water.

They tapped their foreheads the way that Sheckel taught them. This caused a large hole to open on their forehead.

This hole was bigger than their head and also within their head at the same time. There was a tiny squirming blood vessel in this hole.

They took out the blood vessel from their forehead and brought it to the bloody heart. The bloody heart absorbed it, but it wasn’t satisfied. It was making a lot of noise about how it wanted to return to them.

They chuckled and decided to give the bloody heart what it wants. They put it in their forehead and closed it.

After doing this, they concentrated on it and let one of their twelve minds immerse itself in it.

The consciousness that entered the heart found it to be different from the last time that they were there. The heart wasn’t a network like it did. Instead, it was a blood-red crystal.

As they embedded their consciousness into the crystal, the information about its identity and ability was made known to them.

Legion was very happy about what they found. Legion-7 was so excited that he grinned and said, “Finally, our first divine artifact.”

They nodded in satisfaction and went to meet their slaves in order to use Life Bond on them.

They don’t need to see them to use the new divine ability of the pathway of slavery on them. They can use Life Bond through the mark of bondage from any distance. But they want to be there physically to make sure that nothing goes wrong.

First, they sent a message to their slaves to meet them somewhere in town. They don’t intend to meet them face-to-face. They just want to be able to monitor the changes that happen in their slaves when they use Life Bond on them.

They didn’t send any message to Silver Mirror yet. They plan to meet with him after they’ve dealt with their first four slaves.

On their way to the meeting, they thought about their new divine artifact. They couldn’t help it because the bloody heart had increased the range of the passive effect of the rank 1 divine ability of the pathway of killing.

The rank 1 divine ability of the pathway of killing is Sever. Its passive ability is the perception of living things nearby.

The range of this divine ability has always been very small, and its accuracy has always been bad. The range of perception is not small now that they have a spiritual power of 80 units. The range is now 80 meters around them, but its sensitivity is still poor.

In a range of 80 meters around them, they can sense living things with a large, obvious life force. That means they can only sense living things such as rats and above, but they can’t sense ants, and they can’t sense cloaked living things.

Legion can’t kill everyone with the bloody heart yet. But even the most powerful godclad will be affected by the loss of their life force. The loss will just be slow.
