Great, It's the Pervy Neighbor. We're Doomed
Chapter 959: Provocation
"Looking for me for something?"
Brown faced the two fake cops and Jiang Ran's group of four with complete composure.
After speaking, he even took a sip of beer.
The fake cop spoke with great professionalism: "We heard you forced these four to play football with you? And during the game, you intentionally injured them with collisions?"
Brown listened, then smiled calmly, revealing a mouthful of big white teeth:
"Utter nonsense. I didn't force them at all. They volunteered. If you don't believe me, ask them."
The two fake cops turned their heads.
They looked first at the two men. Those two didn't dare make a sound, especially standing in front of Brown, that terrifying oppressive aura pressured them until their whole bodies trembled.
Jiang Ran said: "That's right! I can prove it!"
Having spoken, he pulled up the Hacker beside him: "He can too!"
The two fake cops' gazes landed on the Hacker. The Hacker had originally wanted to play dumb like the other two, but since Jiang Ran had dragged him out, he could only shut his eyes and nod vigorously.
"So that's how it is. Right now it's two against two. Is this really an issue of coercion or not?"
The fake cop rubbed his police cap.
Jiang Ran grew anxious. He looked at the two men beside him: "Hey! Say something! If you don't step up now, when are you waiting for?!"
But those two kept their heads lowered, not daring to utter a single sound.
Jiang Ran was so furious he wanted to curse.
At this moment, Brown opened his mouth to ask those two: "Hey! You two. Did I or did I not force you to play football with me, and intentionally hurt you?!"
Upon hearing this, the two men first trembled all over, then shook their heads violently: "No! No! We played football with you voluntarily! We weren't hurt at all!"
The two fake cops glanced at those two, then looked toward Jiang Ran: "Well, there's no way around it. Each side tells a different story."
Jiang Ran pointed at the blood on his lips, and the wounds all over his body, his hands bleeding from scraping against the cement ground:
"What do you mean no way to handle it?! This is all evidence!"
Brown spoke up at this moment: "What kind of evidence is that? Injuries from sports are perfectly normal. How can you prove I did it?"
The two fake cops were probably under enormous pressure in front of Brown as well.
So they said: "This matter can't be dealt with right now, so we'll be going first. When something actually happens, you can come find us again."
Hurried click-click-click footsteps.
Jiang Ran watched as the light of hope slipped right through his fingers.
The light of hope drained away, and the light of darkness instantly enveloped him.
His whole body trembled, and he didn't dare raise his head, because he sensed a pair of burning eyes fixed on him.
"You've got some nerve, huh? Still daring to call the police?"
A ripping sound — that was a beer can being crushed in someone's grip.
Brown then immediately said: "Well, well, well. Seems you still haven't played enough! Need to play some more football, huh?!"
"Move!"
Brown turned and went inside. He quickly put on a new set of green football uniform.
Then he dragged Jiang Ran and the other three back toward the football field he'd marked out.
The four of them looked ashen, like death warmed over. Among them, the two cowardly men said: "But we didn't report you! It was them who reported you! Why do we have to go too?!"
They pointed at Jiang Ran and the Hacker.
Brown suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned to the two of them.
He said: "That makes sense. In that case, you watch from the sidelines, and they play with me."
At this moment, the Hacker pinched his own hands, discreetly glancing sideways at Jiang Ran beside him.
Jiang Ran kept his head lowered, no one knew what he was thinking in his head.
The Hacker felt baffled: "Boss, when is your alternate personality coming online?!"
The football field.
Several people returned to this place once again.
Jiang Ran and the Hacker stood on one half of the field. The other half belonged to Brown.
He cradled the football in his arms, his momentum like a rainbow, while Jiang Ran and the Hacker looked listless and dim.
"Ready?! The game is about to begin!"
Brown roared.
Over on that side, Brown let out a great bellow. After roaring, he started striding forward. The human engine revved up, and he charged at Jiang Ran and the Hacker with an unstoppable force.
The Hacker let out a wail and, terrified, ran to the left. After running a few steps, he noticed something was off. He looked back and saw that Jiang Ran hadn't run at all, but was standing alone in place.
!!!!!
"Could the alternate personality have come online?"
The Hacker thought excitedly.
But the very next moment, his excited heart was shattered.
With terrifying momentum, Brown sent the stationary Jiang Ran flying with a direct hit.
With this collision, Jiang Ran floated through the air for over ten seconds, and finally landed on the ground with a thunderous crash.
There was no way to describe how miserable it was. Especially since Jiang Ran landed on the back of his head. From the Hacker's viewpoint, he could clearly see that the back of Jiang Ran's skull was bleeding heavily.
The Hacker was terrified out of his mind.
Wait, what are you doing?!
Since it's not the alternate personality, are you insane?!
The Hacker didn't care about any of that. Seeing Brown turn toward him, he needed to scram and run for his life!!!
Meanwhile, over there, Jiang Ran lay on the ground. The light of life in his eyes gradually faded away. But on his face, which by all rights should have been twisted in agony, there hung a trace of a scheme that had succeeded.
"Damn it, you dead black bastard. Next up, it's you and my alternate personality playing..."
He murmured, and then Jiang Ran's head tilted to the side.
He fell completely unconscious.
"Ahhhhh!"
The Hacker was sent flying too, and the force of the impact was no small matter either.
And it was because of that collision that the Hacker, to his absolute horror, discovered that when Brown had collided with them before, he had been holding back. He hadn't gone for the kill at all. But this collision was clearly on a completely different level from the force he'd used back when playing football with Brown before.
At least the Hacker was still conscious, howling in agony.
On the sidelines, those two men saw Jiang Ran and the Hacker's miserable state and felt immensely thankful in their hearts. Thank goodness they hadn't joined in reporting him, otherwise the ones lying on the ground right now would have been the two of them.
At this moment, Brown saw that both of them were down.
He twisted his neck, making cracking sounds.
"This is so boring. They can't take even one hit."
Just as Brown was about to turn away, out of the corner of his eye he suddenly caught sight of something: over there, Jiang Ran, lying in a pool of blood, was slowly climbing up from the ground.
After climbing up, Jiang Ran took the blood on the back of his head and, treating it like water, spread it all over. He pressed all his hair straight back, plastering it tight against his scalp.
Then, he wiped his face with his clean hand.
He curled his finger at Brown.
And from his mouth came the sound: "Chk chk chk."
Brown was mixed-race.
Even though in his heart he identified as black and as an American, he couldn't deny he did have Hua Country blood, and that he could speak Chinese.
Therefore, he understood the chk-chk-chk sound far too well. That was the sound Hua Country people made when teasing a dog.
"Treating me like a dog?"
On Brown's dark face, veins bulged visibly. He looked absolutely, definitely enraged.
And his rage was truly frightening to behold. His entire aura changed.
He gripped the football in both hands, his whole body arching forward, his feet planted firmly on the ground. Like an arrow leaving the bowstring, he shot forward with a whoosh, slamming into Jiang Ran fast and vicious.
