Chapter 441: Chapter 317: The Authority Card and the Truth Revealed
Lost in ecstasy, Ma Yuhui never dreamed that someone would suddenly ambush him at this very moment.
As blood splattered, Ma Yuhui’s entire body went rigid. With a low grunt, he experienced the final orgasm of his life.
Meanwhile, the woman under him also saw Wu Liangchen appear suddenly at the bedside and couldn’t help but let out a terrified scream.
"AHHHH..."
The scream cut off abruptly as Wu Liangchen knocked her unconscious with a single strike. Only then did he flip over Ma Yuhui’s stiffened body.
"Do you remember me?" Wu Liangchen asked calmly.
Already in a state of extreme panic, Ma Yuhui’s pupils contracted sharply upon seeing Wu Liangchen. The muscles in his already paralyzed, rigid face twitched uncontrollably as the realization of his impending fate dawned on him.
Seeing this, Wu Liangchen smiled faintly. "Good. It seems you remember me."
"Hand over the captain’s authority card. I can give you a quick death."
Merchant ships like this typically used dual verification. The captain himself was one key, and his authority was the highest.
Beyond that, there was a backup card, intended for the first mate or another officer to exercise the captain’s authority in his absence.
Ma Yuhui’s mind raced, and he instantly understood Wu Liangchen’s current predicament.
’He must have been driven into a corner by the Sun family, forcing him to flee back to the ship.’
Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but sneer. "You, Wu, do you really think you can get away with this just by getting the captain’s authority card? Let me tell you, it’s useless. Before long, Xiong Tianzong will be back. He has the highest authority and absolute control over this ship. You’ll still die then."
"You’re not wrong. But what if Xiong Tianzong is already dead?" Wu Liangchen said calmly.
Ma Yuhui was stunned by his words, then a realization struck him. "You... you..."
He stammered for a long while, unable to finish his sentence.
It was Wu Liangchen who cut him off bluntly. "That’s right. I killed him. I’ll give you one last chance. Where is the captain’s authority card?"
Ma Yuhui hesitated.
He was trying to figure out how to survive this situation.
Just then, he felt a sharp pain in his head—the only part of him that still had feeling. He saw Wu Liangchen holding one of his ears and speaking in a cold voice.
"Alright. No need to talk."
With that, Wu Liangchen reached out and jabbed a hand toward his eyes.
"AHHH! I’ll talk! I’ll talk! It’s in a hidden compartment behind the third shelf from the left on the east wall!" Ma Yuhui forced out the words, enduring the excruciating pain.
He was scared out of his wits and just wanted to stall for time.
Following his instructions, Wu Liangchen rummaged behind the shelves and indeed found a hidden compartment. However, it was fitted with a combination lock.
Ma Yuhui breathed a secret sigh of relief. He was just about to formulate a threat using the password to bargain with Wu Liangchen when, to his surprise, Wu Liangchen paid him no mind, simply placing a hand on the compartment’s surface.
A moment later, with a soft CLICK, the compartment door swung open.
Ma Yuhui was utterly dumbfounded.
’This... isn’t this the Lock-Picking Skill of a specialist?’
’But he’s a Martial Cultivator. Why would he know a technique like this?’
These questions flooded his mind, making him tremble with fear.
At that moment, Wu Liangchen retrieved a dark gold card from within the hidden compartment.
This was the captain’s authority card.
With this in hand, Wu Liangchen now possessed nearly all authority on the merchant ship; he could even sail away with it if he wished.
Meanwhile, Ma Yuhui’s heart pounded with extreme trepidation.
He had just run through countless scenarios in his head, only to realize he was in a no-win situation. There was no escape.
He looked at Wu Liangchen with pleading eyes, hoping against hope that the man would show mercy and spare him this one time.
Seeing this, Wu Liangchen gave a faint smile, walked up to Ma Yuhui, grabbed him by the ankle, and began dragging him outside.
"You... What are you doing?" Dragged from the bed, Ma Yuhui let out a scream like a stuck pig, but Wu Liangchen was completely unmoved. He pushed open the door and stepped out onto the deck.
This was the private deck attached to the captain’s quarters, the highest point on the entire ship.
"Please, spare me! I’ve saved up a fortune over the years! If you let me go, I’ll give it all to you!" Ma Yuhui suddenly realized what was about to happen and began begging frantically.
But Wu Liangchen turned a deaf ear, dragging Ma Yuhui to the railing. Beyond it lay the churning, turbulent sea.
"We’re not far from the shore. If you can swim for it after you go in, you’ll be saved. So don’t say I didn’t give you a chance to live," Wu Liangchen said calmly.
At this, Ma Yuhui’s composure finally shattered. He stopped begging and instead glared viciously at Wu Liangchen.
With his spine severed, even wiggling a finger was an impossible dream, let alone swimming!
He knew that going into the water meant certain death.
"Don’t think you’ll get away with this by killing me! The Sun family won’t let you..."
But before he could finish his sentence, Wu Liangchen grabbed him by the neck and tossed him overboard like a piece of trash.
SPLASH.
Ma Yuhui plunged into the sea like a stone.
Once the waves from the splash subsided, not a single trace of him remained on the ocean surface.
After dealing with Ma Yuhui in a clean and decisive manner, Wu Liangchen turned and went back into the captain’s quarters, then shouted toward the bed.
"How long are you going to play unconscious?"
The moment his voice fell, the woman who had been lying still scrambled to her knees on the bed and began to kowtow repeatedly to Wu Liangchen.
"My lord, spare my life! My lord, spare my life!"
One should know that this woman was stark naked, and thus her kowtowing put her charms on full display.
