Chapter 392 - 291: Iron Rakshasa, Blood Rose
Chapter 392: Chapter 291: Iron Rakshasa, Blood Rose
Blood gushed out, instantly dyeing the street red.
The men, who had been so menacing moments before, were all dumbfounded.
They never imagined this young man would be so ruthless, killing someone with his first strike.
So even though every one of them was a hardened, blood-soaked criminal, they were now trembling in fear, cowering and not daring to step forward.
Wu Liangchen, however, acted as if he’d just swatted a mosquito. He didn’t even glance at them, instead raising his eyes to a small building on a distant hillside.
Despite the great distance, Wu Liangchen’s sharp eyesight allowed him to clearly see a man standing before a third-floor window. A cold smirk touched the corners of his lips.
Of the powerful auras he had sensed moments ago, two were coming from that very building.
In fact, from the moment the group had appeared, Wu Liangchen had sensed someone watching him from inside that building.
Clearly, that must be the one pulling their strings.
Meanwhile, inside the small building, Boss Tie shuddered violently. His massive frame stumbled back a few steps, and an unprecedentedly grave expression appeared on his face.
"What’s wrong, Boss Tie? Don’t tell me you were scared off by that pretty boy who just popped up," a husky, bewitching female voice teased from nearby.
Boss Tie ignored her. He first took several deep breaths to calm the Qi and Blood that had been sent boiling by that icy gaze, then spoke in a cold tone.
"Mara, spare me your taunts. That kid is far from ordinary."
"Oh?" Hearing this, the woman on the sofa grew slightly more serious. As a fellow pirate leader, she knew Boss Tie’s personality well.
For him to voluntarily admit that someone was extraordinary proved that this person was truly something special.
She sat up straight. Her slender waist and ample chest set each other off, creating a breathtaking curve that could make any man’s heart race.
A blood-red rose was pinned in her hair, making her face all the more enchanting, as bewitching as a Sea Siren.
She was a truly exquisite woman.
But Boss Tie avoided her like the plague, not even daring to risk a second glance.
The reason was simple: the woman’s vicious reputation was simply too widespread.
Though she was a pirate who had only risen to prominence in recent years, the name Blood Rose was already known across the entire sea.
Boss Tie knew all too well that beneath that slender waist and charming face lay a devilish nature.
Since she first appeared, countless men had died mysterious deaths at her hands.
So, despite being extremely lecherous, Boss Tie didn’t dare make a move on her. Instead, he kept her at a respectful distance.
"Stronger than you?" Mara asked.
"I can’t be sure yet. But he sensed me watching him, and from that distance, a single cold smirk was enough to shake me to the core. His strength is clearly extraordinary. It looks like the Bell Clan really paid a steep price to reopen this shipping route," Boss Tie said gravely.
"That’s not surprising. After all, Orlando is getting on in years. An old lion may still have its claws and fangs, but it’s lost its power to intimidate. His only choice to prop up his young heir is to bring in powerful help," Mara said lightly.
"So what’s our next move? Are we just going to let the Bell Clan swagger out of here?" Boss Tie asked, his voice laced with resentment.
As overseas merchant ships began arriving with greater frequency and regularity, the value of this shipping route became increasingly apparent.
That was why so many pirate factions had gathered in the small town of Black Stone Reef.
Everyone wanted a piece of the pie from the coming feast.
"Of course not."
"The outside help the Bell Clan brought in is strong, it’s true. But one man alone can’t reverse the clan’s decline. Don’t forget what we do best," Mara said with a smile.
Boss Tie’s eyes lit up with understanding. "You mean... we strike at sea?"
"Exactly. Beyond Black Stone Reef lies the boundless sea. We’ll pick a spot, join forces, and we can definitely swallow their entire fleet. We’ll split the spoils fifty-fifty. What do you say?"
"Deal. But Annabelle has to be mine!" At this, Boss Tie broke into a savage grin, rubbing his palms together in excitement.
"I’ve yet to taste what one of those noble ladies is like."
"That can be arranged. When we join forces, if we manage to subdue the man the Bell Clan hired... he belongs to me," Mara stated.
Boss Tie frowned. "An expert of his caliber... if we don’t kill him, he’ll be a huge liability down the road."
"Don’t you worry about that. I have my ways," Mara said with a laugh, licking her rosy lips.
Boss Tie didn’t dare argue. He knew her methods... and her tastes.
For her, the more powerful the man, the greater the sense of accomplishment in conquering him.
And if he was young and handsome, all the better.
As it happened, the man the Bell Clan had hired perfectly matched all her predilections and desires.
No wonder she was tempted.
As for whether she could actually conquer him... well, that was her problem.
Besides, judging from past experience, no man had ever been able to escape her methods.
"Alright, it’s getting late. I should be going. Please remember our agreement, Boss Tie. Don’t go making unnecessary trouble." With that, Mara stood up, her hips swaying gracefully as she walked down the stairs.
