Novel Full Chapter 914: Part 2: Leaving
From MC’s Perspective:
Seeing that there was no other option. I made a direct call to the dean through my communication watch.
The connection was quickly established. The next second, the projection of the old man dean appeared above my watch screen.
I can clearly see shock and disbelief written all over his face.
“Vincent Carey!”
“Where are you right now?”
The next second, I heard a loud voice that sounded a lot of anger.
“Dean, I’m good. I’m currently standing at the rooftop of the bright hotel,” I replied in a calm tone.
I didn’t mind his anger. I guess he must be looking for me.
“Bright Hotel?” The old man dean was taken back. All of the places they have searched. The intelligence unit didn’t bother to check the hotels.
I mean who could guess that Vincent Carey was staying in the hotel yesterday?
“Are you alright now? When are you going to the arena building? It’s almost time for the 3rd stage of the competition to start,”the old man dean asked.
Hearing that I revealed a bitter smile on my face.
“Dean, there is only one problem here. A suspicious person has encircled the hotel. I don’t know whether it’s safe to go out,” I answered.
“Suspicious people,” the old man dean’s eyes flickered. Then he thought of something before his expression changed drastically.
“Are those people the ones who attacked you yesterday?” the old man dean carefully asked.
He believes that Vincent Carey must have seen their faces during yesterday’s attack.
“Yes, they are the ones,” I replied. I didn’t want to divulge further information. Like how many of them are near the hotel. Because it would be suspicious.
The old man dean’s eyes flashes with a cold glint. Then he thought of something before saying,”You stay there I’ll send someone for help.”
Hearing that I showed a look of relief before hanging the call.
“Well, the conversation went well,” I said to myself.
But I don’t know who will come to help me.
Then I started to wait here. The other hand, most of the killers have started monitoring the arena building.
As the time of the competition gets closer. The flow of people is increasing. But the killers saw there was no sign of Vincent Carey yet.
Inside the A Block Room:
The level-5 Wizard Students started entering the room. Aaron, Pete, Jennie, Miranda and Luxor walked into the room as well.
But Mike Curtis and Vincent Carey have yet to arrive. Seeing that other showed mixed emotions. To be honest, they were the ones who supported us to arrive early.
Pete’s face becomes distorted. Yesterday, Vincent got the free pass. But the rest of them are not lucky. Only Mike Curtis was able to win.
At the same time, Stella Glover also left her room.
Instead of directly going to the A Block Room, she decides to stop by the destroyed rooms. She knows Vincent probably spent last night outside.
But things that happened yesterday are too much for her. She had a hard time sleeping because of it. If not for that, Vincent is going to participate in the duel today.
She would have preferred spending time in the bed.
On the other hand, Mike Curtis was also on his way towards the A block room. But his expression was not calm.
After speaking with Vincent Carey last night, he did little digging last night. He found out that there is something else going on with Vincent Carey.
He even asked Taboo Hall’s council elders about this. But they seem to know nothing.
“There is something suspicious. But he won’t tell me,” His eyes flickered. He decides to find later.
Right now, winning the duel is important.
Soon, Stella and Mike both entered the A block room. At this point of time, everyone has come including the council elders except Vincent Carey.
When Mike walked past the empty seat of Vincent Carey. His mouth twitched again.
“He is not here yet,” He grunted.
After sitting down, he looked towards Pete.
Pete is still having a grudging expression. Seeing that Mike Curtis shook his head.
On the other hand, Stella Glover is getting nervous. Unlike Mike Curtis, she knows the truth. She knows that Vincent was attacked yesterday.
It might happen today as well.
“Stella, what happened?” A female council elder asked. She saw that Stella’s expression was not right.
Hearing the council elders and wizard students turned towards Stella Glover.
A quick gleam flashes in Mike Curtis’s eyes.
He noticed something else. He thinks that Stella Glover is being nervous about something.
“Is something happening?” He asked in his heart.
He knows both Vincent and Stella were together chatting yesterday. And the most important thing is that Vincent’s room was destroyed. He had no place to stay yesterday.
He wondered whether the council elders knew about this fire accident. He is starting to think that council elders are not doing their job.
The Taboo Hall’s council elders knew nothing because they are staying back in the academy. Then what about the council elders staying here.
They should know everything.
On the other hand, Stella Glover recovered her expression. She doesn’t want to tell them about Vincent.
“It’s nothing. I’m going back to my room to take a rest,” After saying that she walked out of the room.
Seeing that the female council elder was surprised. She looked at other council elders who seemed to be bewildered as well.
Only Mike Curtis felt something wrong with the situation.

A female council elder asked,”Does anyone know where he is?”
Hearing that the wizard students felt a headache. They know she is asking about Vincent Carey.
“He must be sleeping right now,” Aaron said in a low tone. But it was heard by the council elders.
“Sleeping?”
