Border Town
I found something serious going on. So, I continued to listen to the conversations around me. The more I listened to them, the more shocked I became.
"An unknown evil wizard force has emerged. They are causing problems in the territory of the Mage Union."
"That’s why the border check posts are under strict control."
"No way!"
"What are we going to do next?"
I heard someone’s words among the crowd. My heart was stirred. I was expecting something else.
Then my gaze swept across the place. When no one was paying attention to me, I went behind the building and put a mask on my face.
Swoosh!
I used the flight ability to fly over the fence. Then I landed on the ground and entered the compounds of the closed building.
The next second, I appeared inside the system space. Zero puppet was inside, waiting for me.
"Master, what happened?" Zero puppet asked.
"Everything was fine. I entered the Magic City. Soon, we will reach our place," I said to the puppet.
Outside
There is a Forbidden Wizard hidden in the border tower. He was sent by the Mage Union to guard the place. No one knows about it.
The old man just felt something. He disappeared from the spot and appeared above the closed building. The building has compounds. It was closed.
No one is working here. The old man was confused. He swept his gaze across the place. He didn’t find a single wizard here.
But his intuition was right. Then his magic spell did catch something. The old man refused to admit defeat.
He continued to scan the area. His appearance attracted attention. Especially from the Magic Lords who were stationed here.
It’s their job to protect the place. The old man’s appearance stunned them. When they got closer, they saw the old man was wearing the badge of the Mage Union.
They became respectful. They didn’t disturb the old man and returned to their places. They had thought the old man was here to check the border post.
It only made them in awe of the unknown evil force. They had never seen the Mage Union be this alert.
The old man was frustrated after some time. He then returned to his place.
Time passed,
That night, I appeared outside. I shielded my mana with the power of the system. Then I exited the compound building and entered the street.
I noticed the border town was active during the night time. I could see people on the footpath. The business shops are still open.
Then I collected my thoughts and walked toward the outer area of the border town.
[Ding! A Forbidden Wizard is scanning the border town.]
[Ding! The host’s presence is shielded. The Forbidden Wizard won’t be able to detect you.]
The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, my gaze turned solemn. Then I continued to walk along the path.
After reaching the outer area, I brought the raven aircraft outside. There are many vehicles operating.
It won’t cause any doubts to arise. I entered the cockpit and began operating the aircraft. The aircraft rose from the ground.
When it appeared in mid-air, I set the coordinates to the Magic City. First, I needed to submit the report. Then I wanted to know what happened here during my absence.
Then I will go back to the crystal city.

I started operating the aircraft. The aircraft moved forward. When it covered a little distance, I checked using the system whether the Forbidden Wizard was paying attention or not.
The system gave negative results. Then I turned on the stealth mode. The whole aircraft became transparent.

Then it flew over the clouds. I sat back at ease. My gaze was deep.
"What is this unknown wizard organization?" I asked myself.
I never expected the overlord Mage Union to behave like this. I couldn’t help but recall the conversations from earlier.
I had heard a few other things earlier. All the Magic Towers have become activated. They are carrying out each task.
I’m sure I will get some tasks as well. Forget about taking a rest. I shook my head.
Time passed.
Several hours later, the aircraft reached the Magic City. I opened my eyes and looked ahead through the window.
Usually, the airspace of the Magic City would be quiet. Now I see many flying vehicles. It shows that the times are not normal.
I didn’t go directly toward the Silver Tower. After arriving at the same quiet place, I turned off the stealth and the aircraft. Then I put the aircraft inside the system space.
Then I quietly landed on the ground and started going towards the Silver Tower. I came across people at this hour.
Only one or two hours left before the sunrise. While walking on the footpath, I took the device out and phoned Manager Lara.
I hoped she was available. If she was not in the Silver Tower, then my trip would be wasted. The phone kept ringing.
A couple of seconds later,
Lara answered the call. The next second, I heard her high-pitched voice.
"Vincent, where are you?"
"Are you back?" Lara asked.
"I have completed the mission. I’m going to be there at the Silver Tower in 5 minutes," I replied.
"Good. I’m here. Come quicker," she said before ending the call.
Then I put away the device and resumed walking.
Soon, I reached the Magic Tower area. There are towering towers located within a short distance of each other.
I entered the magic tower area. I removed the mana shield. It didn’t take long for me to feel the gazes of many wizards from the shadows.
I raised my eyebrows. It was not like this before. But this time, the wizard towers have protection as well. I didn’t show any reaction.
I reached the Silver Tower. A sky-piercing white tower was before me. Then my gaze fell on the gate. I walked towards the gate and showed my silver badge.
The next second, the restrictions were removed. I walked inside the place.
Outside,
The lingering gazes disappeared.
