I appeared outside without alerting the Wizard Patrick. He is facing the other side.

I coughed up to attract attention.

I said,”Take me to the mining area.”

“Master, the place is dangerous. There are Magic Lords to protect the mining area,” Patrick said.
A fear appeared in his eyes. He didn’t know what the young man was . But he clearly doesn’t want to be part of it.
I saw the fear in the old man’s eyes. But I’m scared as well. Yet, it’s a good chance to cause loss to the Dark Faction.
After that I can go back to the Magic City.
“You don’t have to be afraid. You just have to lead me there. Then you can return. I won’t ask you to do anything more,” I tried to convince the old man.
Hearing that Patrick got angry. He thinks that young man doesn’t have any clue. The magic prowess of the Magic Lords are something else.

Hearing that, I felt annoyed. The old man is not listening to him.
“You have to listen to my order. Take me to the mine,” I said in a stern tone.
Patrick’s eyes turned cold. He made a drastic decision. He began to cast the magic spell. A green concentric circle appears all of sudden before him.
“What are you doing?” I asked him.

I moved away a few metres backwards. A hint of disbelief appeared in my eyes. What happened to the Red Scroll Artifact? Shouldn’t he be listening to me?

Before the old man could release his magic. The crimson magic characters acted on his mana core. The old man felt his body was set on fire.
He let out a terrible scream. The green concentric magic circles shattered.

He received a backlash the next second. The old man then spat the blood. His face looked ugly. He forgot about the crimson magic chains bound to his mana core.
At the same time, I saw that old man suffering from the backlash. I sighed in relief. I was worried that he might be successful in casting the magic spell.
I still have to be careful of him. If I blindly trust the Red scroll Artifact, it could lead to unwanted trouble.
Then I collected my thoughts and turned to the old man.
“Do you want to die?”

“Alright, I will take you to the mine,” Patrick replied. He compromised in the end. He thinks he will die because of the young man first before the Magic Lords could kill him.
