Chapter 1341 - 1341: Part 2: Becoming appraiser again
Rosewood Cafe:
On the top floor, there was a private space. Wilfred Cox, Susan Park, and Jason Nicholson were seated. Apart from them, no one else was there.
This was the place of the Wilfred Cox family. He had ordered the staff not to let anyone in apart from their Silver Tower members.
Even the arrogant guy, Jason Nicholson, had become obedient in the presence of the two people. He didn’t dare to be arrogant.
“I thought you would never come,” Susan said to him.
Jason was stunned. Then he responded quickly.
“It’s my bad. I should have brought the newcomer back to the Silver Tower. But I hadn’t expected a Black Tower member to kick him away.”
“So it was a coincidence,” Susan muttered.
“Yes, 100%. It’s a coincidence,” Jason replied.
“Okay, stop it. Did you verify the strength of the newcomer?” Wilfred asked.
Jason shook his head before saying, “I wanted to fight against him, but Manager Lara was strictly against it. Then I tried to test him at the Blue Stone Mall.”
“But later, things went out of my control,” he added.
Wilfred looked at him with doubt.
Feeling that, Jason replied, “But one thing I have noticed. If he wasn’t that strong, he wouldn’t have recovered quickly from that kick.”
“Though the Black Tower wizard didn’t use mana in his kick, his brute force was enough to harm the physique of wizards like us.”
“Yet the newcomer recovered after taking a few healing potions,” Jason said in a serious tone.
He was not saying this casually. Last night, he had lost sleep over this doubt.
“True, the Black Tower wizard is not known for their leniency. His kick must have contained powerful brute force,” Susan further supported his argument.
Wilfred finally showed movement in his expression.
He said, “It doesn’t matter whether the newcomer has a strong body or not. As long as his mind is weak, he won’t win against me.”
His tone was confident. Hearing that, Susan Park frowned. Everyone has their own advantage. She could defeat others with a simple touch.
“I can defeat him as well. As long as he touches my skin, he will be as good as dead,” she said with a smile.
But her smile was creepy.
“These two monsters,” Jason thought to himself.
Though his Indestructible Skeleton was Sub-Taboo Grade, it didn’t have the fear factor like theirs. Anyone would simply underestimate his magic.
Unless they got defeated by his hands, they wouldn’t think his magic was Sub-Taboo Grade, whereas these two intimidated others by the name of their magic.
“Cough,” Jason then coughed to bring their attention back.
“Where are the others?”
“I thought everyone was gathering here,” Jason asked.
Wilfred’s eyes flickered.
“I had already sent out the invitation. They won’t miss the fun. Until then, let’s discuss,” he said.
“It was certain that Gravity Magic had attracted the attention of the higher-ups. Manager Lara told me that Lord Sharon brought him here.”
“Lord Sharon is close with Lord Charlotte. I think Lord Charlotte told Manager Lara to protect the new member,” Susan said in a calm tone.
“Two Forbidden Wizards, huh!”
“It’s going to be troublesome. Since it’s impossible to drive him away. But we can test his strength,” Wilfred said.
“I’m ready to fight against him,” Jason interjected, not wanting these two to get all the limelight.
“We will decide about that later,” Susan replied.
…
From MC’s Perspective:
Time passed.
So far, I have checked the 8 black boxes. The last four of them had outer space items. I can only bet on the remaining two.
Manager Lara was surprised in her heart. She had told him to appraise at least 3 correct items, depending on the level of the items.
She was familiar with a few of the outer space items since they were brought here by the official members. They told her where they got them from, but they failed to find the exact origin of the items.
That’s why they were all placed here. She thought it was a little unfair for Vincent Carey to appraise some of the items, so she made up her mind to give him one more chance in her heart.
I opened the 9th black box. Then I saw a blue and white feather. It could be a feather from an ancient bird monster. But I’m hoping that it was not an outer space bird.
I used the system function again. Then I saw the information on the screen. It was a feather from an ancient native bird monster.
But this bird monster was extinct long ago. The system told me that it was a feather from the last bird monster of its kind.
“Blue Sky Bird,” I uttered.
“What do you say?” she asked.
“I have read about it somewhere. I saw a similar picture of a feather, but that feather belongs to an extinct bird monster. I don’t know if it is the same,” I answered her.
Lara was intrigued, so she took the box as well. She now had 2 boxes with her. One had bone fragments, and the other had the feather.
“Last box,” she uttered.
I nodded to her. Then I turned to the last black box and opened it. There was a silver-colored ball inside. I was stunned and disappointed. I immediately thought it was another outer space item.
It meant I had lost the task. I thought it was okay to use the system probe function. I didn’t want to make a prejudgment.
The system showed the information on the panel. I stood there stunned because it was not an outer space item, but a Grade-10 Metal Magic Fruit.
I looked at the panel to confirm again, seeing that it was a real fruit. I was surprised. I had never seen a metal fruit before. It was the first time for me.
“I don’t know why it’s here, but it’s a Grade-10 Metal Magic Fruit,” I said to her.
“What?” she blurted out.
“Are you sure that it’s a fruit treasure?” she asked again.
I nodded to her.
Then she picked up the last box.
