Novel Full Chapter 1128 Tough First Meet

A few minutes later,
I arrived in front of the floating tower shaped building. I swept my gaze around and recognised the building in front of me.
It’s the Special Mage Department building shown to me by Elder Iris that day. There is a wide and long staircase which works as a bridge between the entrance of the building to the ground.
Seeing that I started walking on the stairs which lead to the main door. While stepping forward on each step. I found that these stairs are not simple.
There must be magic engravings on it. But I didn’t have the guts to probe using the system function. Who knows? I might trigger some hidden function.
I shifted my attention from curiosity and resumed walking.
After reaching the top, I arrived in front of the main door. Then I started looking for the panel. But there was nothing there.
Then I thought of something. I opened my digital ID on the screen on my storage bracelet. A holographic ID pops up.
The next second, the main door shone with bright light. The light fell on the Digital ID of mine.
Creak!
The next second, the door opened with a thud sound. I sighed inwardly. I knew there must be something. Seeing that the door was opened, I walked inside.
My heart is filled with excitement and anxiety at the same time. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. I’m hoping to find a backer like I had done in the previous academy.
After entering inside the building, I noticed that there were multiple rooms and corridors. Like the dormitory rooms, the space magic was in work here as well.
But where to find help. I started to feel impatient.
Then I hear footsteps coming from one of the corridors. I spotted a middle aged man wearing black suit walking towards me.
“You must be Vincent Carey!”
“I’m Paul Lin, I’m one of the elders here,” He said, his introduction was casual, plain and simple.
On the other hand, I sized up the person in front of me. If not for his footsteps, I wouldn’t have spotted him. He appears to be a regular human.
Which means he is more powerful. I used the system to probe the details. The system showed his strength as a level-9 Wizard. His Magic is to do with climate control.
My heart immediately set off storms. His Magic name sounds simple. I know it’s terrific magic in the right condition. And I was right in my judgment. He is indeed an elder.
But I’m curious about his standing among the Elders of the Special Mage Department.
“What happened?” Paul asked.
Hearing that my thoughts returned to reality. I looked at him and said,”It’s nothing.”
Paul Lin appears to be mature and educated. He has black hair and eyes. He stands well above 6ft fall in height. His physique is lean. His skin tone is light and pale white. His age appears to be middle aged.
But it can be deceptive.
“Well, you are new here. I can understand your feelings. Come with me I’ll introduce you to others,” Paul said with a smile.
I involuntarily nodded my head and started following from behind.
“He is a level-9 Wizard. No way, I could fight against him at my current level,” I said in my heart.
I should be low key until I reach the level-7 Strength. Elder Paul walks through the corridor before reaching a conference hall.
“It’s the conference hall of our department. This is where we all gather together and discuss important topics,” Paul said without turning back.
He opened the door and walked into the hall boldly.
The next second, I could hear people’s murmurs disappear and the place become quiet all of a sudden.
Paul Lin is standing on the stage. His eyes swept across the Wizards in the conference room including the juniors and seniors.
There are more than 100 Wizards here, cutting across, seniority,levels, ages, gender and magic were gathered in this huge hall.
Paul looks professional in the suit. The Young Wizards were looking at him. But the old ones were looking at him with dread.
“The True Elements Society is one of the powerful wizard organizations in the Ancient Redwood Country. The members of the organization are well over a million.
But the core of the True Elements Society are the several Magic departments, Magic Palace, Council, Vice-Dean and Dean and Hidden Powers.
The members of these factions are the real strength of the True Elements Society. So today someone talented is going to join our Special Mage Department, adding strength to our Department and Organisation

The wizards sitting down below started clapping.
Outside,
I felt an adrenaline rush all of sudden. Like someone injected me with a powerful potion. Feeling the gaze of Elder Paul. I controlled my emotions before taking a step forward into the hall.
I walked onto the stage amidst the countless gaze of Wizards.
I nodded to Elder Paul before turning face towards the Wizards gathered in the Hall. Like a needle pin, I felt numerous gazes probing me.
“What? Level-5!”
“His strength is pitifully low. Even my guard is high ranking wizard”
“Level-5 trash, what is he doing here?”
“How can they allow likes of him to get into our department?”
“Harumph, gravity magic. It must be trash as his level”

The Mechanical voice sounded in mind. I realized they must be from influential backgrounds. Other than that there is no reason for them to pick a fight with me.
On top of it, they have already started to look down on me.
“Silence,” Paul uttered.
His words fell like thunder in everyone’s ears.
“From today onwards, Vincent Carey is a member of our Special Mage Department. I hope everyone will get along. I’m hearing lot of things against Vincent Carey”
“I hope the members of our department won’t be stupid. The council has given me power to deal with the troublemakers here,” Paul said in a cold tone.
His gaze specifically directed at those who showed hostile emotions. At his level, it’s easy to find those people.
“Vincent, come with me,” Paul said again.
Hearing that I felt relieved and started following him again.
Meanwhile,
The Wizards resumed their talks again. They have known about the newcomer. But still they think level-5 is a little weak to survive here.
Even those who were quite optimistic earlier started to change their view. Wizards were respected based on their strength.
Even though they have no personal grudges like the aristocratic faction. Yet, Vincent Carey’s current level is not enough for them to show attention and respect.

The Aristocratic Wizards here, both males and females exchanged looks. The numbers of wizards from aristocratic backgrounds are few in numbers in the Special Mage Department compared to other departments.

“There is also our department crest. This is normal stuff. But our third gift is most important. This is what attracts the newcomers and why everyone wants to join the Special Mage Department. We allow the new member to choose one of the treasures from our treasure vault” Paul added with a musing smile.
I raised my eyebrows in surprise. But in my heart, I’m scolding,”Don’t make me raise my hope.”
Yet, there is some excitement. The treasure vault of the Special Mage Department must have important treasures. I don’t know where there will be any useful stuff for me.
First, he led me to his office to give me the battle mage robe and crest. The crest symbol intrigued me. Because the crest is a star symbol.
I held the crest in my hand. Touching it, I felt a cooling sensation in my finger. I’m wondering what it’s made up of. The crest color is relatable to the silver stars in the night skies.
