Chapter 749: Chapter 59: Stay Humble in Life and Work
The waiter announced with excitement on his face, "Yes, he is the Chef Huang from Dorami Kindergarten! No wonder he looked familiar, and that title sounds familiar too. Turns out he’s the Chef Huang who recently went viral online and even made the trending lists!"
Saying that, he eagerly handed his phone to the teppanyaki chef and another waiter, displaying video clips of the various dishes meticulously prepared by Huang Jun.
Among them, the process of making Wenshi Tofu was particularly captivating. Huang Jun’s knife skills were precise and swift, cutting the tofu as thin as a strand of hair, his exceptional artistry leaving people in awe.
The teppanyaki chef watched attentively for several minutes, a look of admiration gradually appearing in his eyes.
He murmured praise, "It’s truly unbelievable. So young, yet he has already mastered the profound art of Wenshi Tofu, and his knife skills are exquisite. Truly young and promising, it’s admirable!"
However, he still had a bit of puzzlement: "Such an outstanding chef, why would he work as a head chef at a kindergarten? It seems somewhat unmatched with his talents."
The waiter, upon hearing his doubts, smiled and explained, "I heard it’s because his daughter attends Dorami Kindergarten. To ensure she could enjoy healthy and delicious meals there, he specifically applied to be the head chef. He really devotes himself to his child, willing to give up potentially more glamorous opportunities."
After hearing this from the waiter, both the teppanyaki chef and the other waiters felt particularly impressed by Huang Jun’s paternal love and dedication to his family. They finally understood that true skills and love for life aren’t just about how glamorous your job is, but also about how well you treat your family and how wholeheartedly you live.
Meanwhile, Huang Jun was entirely unaware, as he was meeting up with the little ones, Qingqing and Weiwei, along with Liu Shiwei and others.
"Daddy, why are you walking so slowly?"
Weiwei complained in her childish voice, a hint of playfulness flashing in her eyes.
Qingqing also looked up, using those caring eyes to gaze at Huang Jun, as if silently asking, "Dad, did you run into some trouble, that’s why you’re late?"
"Something came up that delayed me a bit."
Huang Jun smiled and reached out, gently rubbing Weiwei’s and Qingqing’s soft little heads, tenderly asking in return, "Why do you start missing Daddy after just a short while apart?"
"Yes!"
Qingqing and Weiwei nodded without any hesitation.
Liu Ruihan, too, bounced over to Huang Jun, a pure smile blossoming on his face, saying to him, "Godfather, I missed you too! When you’re not around, I feel so unfamiliar!"
"Really! I missed you all too!"
Huang Jun responded with a smile, his eyes full of affection: "So now, how about I accompany you for a walk around the resort?"
"Okay!"
The three little ones nodded.
Then, the group leisurely strolled around the resort.
The scenery here was enchanting and picturesque, with various animals for visitors to view, making Qingqing, Weiwei, and Liu Ruihan dance with excitement.
The resort featured a specially set-up Peacock Garden, and even a group of gentle and adorable little deer were tamed inside.
While visiting the deer, Weiwei playfully imitated the deer’s calls to Huang Jun: "Daddy, the deer go ’yo-yo’ like this~"
Liu Ruihan and Qingqing, seeing Weiwei like this, joined in the imitation with delight: "Yo-yo, yo-yo... hehe... this is so fun..."
Listening to the lifelike imitations from the three little ones, Huang Jun’s mind involuntarily recalled the ancient poem "The deer call ’yo-yo’," marveling at how vivid and apt the ancient depictions of nature were.
With these three innocent, lively, and lovable children by his side, Huang Jun and the others had a particularly relaxed and joyful afternoon at the resort.
In contrast,
the holiday lifestyle of other families in the kindergarten’s small class wasn’t as easy and pleasant...
