“You-Your-Your arm’s still injured. The doctor said drastic movements will make it worse!”

He stared at the young woman’s small face and gulped. His Adam’s apple bobbed slightly.

“I don’t have to move my arm. You know that.” Long Sijue’s breathing began to hasten. This little thing was like a drug to him. Once he touched her, he became completely addicted. He wanted so badly to spend every waking moment holding her petite body and making love to her.

“I… I don’t know. Can you let go of me first, so that I can go and prepare your breakfast?” Su Qianxun swallowed nervously. She was so scared that she did not dare to move at all.

“Miss Gu, even though you did not suffer any bone injury, you were still heavily-wounded. It’s best for you to stay in the hospital so that I can monitor your condition,” the doctor said worriedly.

“That’s not necessary. I’m all right.” Gu Mian got out of bed. She lowered her head and saw blood all over her shirt.

Her forehead was injured, but the nurses had already bandaged her wound.

“Wait… should I contact your family members and ask them to come over?” Seeing that she was alone, the doctor was quite concerned.

“It’s fine. I can go home on my own.” Gu Mian thanked the doctor for his kindness. She forced herself out of bed and left the Emergency Room.

Tang Zui could not figure out why he kept coming to the hospital. He tried to convince himself that he was there to visit Long Sijue, not Gu Mian. In fact, he could not care less whether that woman was dead or alive.

After Gu Mian left the hospital building and was waiting for a cab, she suddenly felt dizzy and almost blacked out.

A pair of strong arms enveloped her. She raised her head and saw Tang Zui’s face. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed.

Gu Mian immediately wanted to push him away, but she did not have the strength to do so at all. He barely budged when she tried to shove him.

“What are you doing here?” Tang Zui noticed that she was frail, and it seemed like she was about to faint. He gradually scrunched up his eyebrows.

“I’m going home. I’m waiting for the cab,” Gu Mian said flatly.

“Where’s the family servant?” Tang Zui saw her pale drawn face and grew frustrated for no reason.

Gu Mian shook her head. When she woke up, she found herself alone in the ward. She did not see the servant at all.

“Young master, why are you here?”

Meanwhile, the servant Tang Zui hired strolled towards them in a relaxed manner. All the servants in the Tang family household knew that their young master could not care less about his young missus.
